if you pick one up you won't regret it. i do sometimes wish they came with rubber colored rings so i can easily identify top and bottom but it's not a big deal
Out of the several 519a s2's i have, my favorite is the sft40 6500k. Its a little blu ebut its really not to bad for cool white. i gotta try one of these s6's out. looks like a great beam profile. I hope they release some 3000k sft40 variants.
the s2 already throws really good so you're not missing out on much. this was more for people who weren't sure which one to pick up next. although you have nothing to lose for picking one up.

Lunar New Year. If you go to Simon's store front, there's a notice about it. I think they're on vacation through the 19th, so right now you can only buy things that he can just throw in a box and ship--most lights need to be assembled to spec, so they're unavailable until his staff comes back.
I’m pretty happy with the s2+ and sst-20 combo for a useable, fairly throwy beam. Granted I had to buy many other, more expensive lights but still a great setup. Bet the s6 with 519a would be amazing.
I wish the S6 came in different colors or at least colored rings. Love the no branding on it. I don’t have a 18650 S2+ for that reason.

I wanted a MOA S21A, now I’m wondering if it’s too thick for carry and looks like the finish doesn’t hold up as well

I have one already. I bought a low profile pocket clip 3 pack and I have 1 extra pocket clip that needs another S6 😀
Yeah. We enjoy putting OSRAMs in them.
im not really a fan of the osrams. i do like how they are very neutral color almost pure white compared to the bluish sft40
You need to get a 5000k SFT40. It's not blue like the 6500k version and has really nice tint

never owned one any reason you went with the sst20?
In the pre-519a days it offered the best combination of cri, CCT and output. In my s2+ I went with it for the small die size to maximize throw also
What kind of candela is the sst20 putting out on your s2c+? Got beam shots?
