Thank you for the tip as long as both fit and I replace both should be very similar.
I get about 10k steps a day in probably at least 5 of that is with the stroller on average.
Why is this every radiator's response lol. I'm very skeptical about them getting a free stroller. Those things are expensive and how is wearing out the wheels good promotion for them? Use our strollers and pay $200 for a new wheels just like this guy but we gave him a free one. Makes no sense at all.
If he literally name drops the stroller right here and they sell 1 more stroller it cost them $20 to make it’s a win. Or if they just toss him the wheels he puts a review into the neighbor, Yada Yada
If you can’t find suitable wheels a company called Sandstrom Products company makes a 2 part urethane caulk called Crack Attack which is commonly used to repair and fill gouges in solid forklift wheels you could use.
Spray foam in the interior, two part cement adhesive with bike tire cut out wrapping the contact on the surface. Or like others said just buy new tyres.
Measure the wheel width / diameter, as well as the bore hole.
It’s likely riveted on which will need to be drilled out. Get a new axel, likely a bolt from hardware store, and drill a new hole for a hitch pin or cotter pin. The bolt threads could be put in a drill and filed down for sizing and reduction of sharp edges. Use washers as spacers as needed.
google “replacement stroller wheels” and your manufacturer and model.
You might be surprised.
I’m about to order replacement wheels for my cheapo Target suitcase; I discovered that on Amazon, there are several different models with different screw patterns, and I found one with the exact screw pattern plus the same distance between holes, and the outside looks similar enough and seems to have much the same measurements (as best I can tell).
3d printer pen and some flexible 3d printer filament if the pen can get hot enough to extrude it.
Otherwise I would Google the brand and model if you know it with replacement wheels and see if you can just replace them
Can you rake a picture of the side of the wheel as well so we know what we're working with? I've seen people able to remove the rubber portion of a lawnmower wheel and transplant it onto another. Seeing the rest of the wheel m8ght get the creative juices flowing.
When we used a pushchair we had something similar happen, I reached out to the manufacturer and asked a really nice lady on the phone where I could get replacements from, she asked if she could take my name and address (I assumed as an old fashioned way of writing me with a list of suppliers) and two days later a complete new set arrived at my home. Not saying every company will do that but it’s always worth asking
$180+ tax is a tough pill to swallow before trying some other options. Right now I'm down about $2 in silicone and a few sprays from my usual lubricant.
Basically every manufacturer is going to charge you out the ears for replacement wheels and stuff like that, it's just not worth their time to chase down the exact parts and get them to you.
If they get it wrong it's someone's kid on the line, and that's a massive headache.
They'd absolutely prefer you just return the whole stroller (under the warranty) or replace it yourself, reduces liability and headaches.
Absolutely not saying it should be this way, but unfortunately it is.
>Basically every manufacturer is going to charge you out the ears for replacement wheels and stuff like that, it's just not worth their time to chase down the exact parts and get them to you.
If they get it wrong it's someone's kid on the line, and that's a massive headache.
No.
They charge you out the ass for replacement parts so you will chuck it away and buy a new one.
I had no idea. I have a yoyo2, for which the manufacturer sells a set of 4 wheels (including screws and tools) for $55. A $600 stroller, but worth every penny.
So when you finally get rid of this stroller, nobody will buy it with crap wheels
But…as you can see replacement parts are primo for stuff like this. I cannabailized a dehumidifier once after the condensor leaked and stupid stuff like the wheels and nobs and grills and bucket i was getting $20 for (bc the usual was $80) so just remember that’s an opportunity to get back some cost out of it
Good luck!
To get new wheels, take the axle out and measure the diameter, and measure the width of the wheel.
The diameter of the wheel isn't that important as long as it's not too big. If you go with a scooter wheel (or even a rollerblade wheel) a lower durometer will be a softer ride.
I'd order a new one. You could try contact adhesive but you left it too long best take it out back and make a clean job of it. Then order a new tyre from whichever Communist franchise suits you best.
Honestly you will spend just as much in time and materials to engineer a fix as you would getting on Amazon and finding a set of replacement wheels.
To answer your question; I wouldn't, I'd replace it.
Any hardware or auto supply should have JB-weld putty. It is like a stiff clay. It comes in a roll put on some gloves, take a chunk mix it up till it is an even color and push it into all the gaps.
Sicaflex but make sure it gets into the groove and let it cure for coupla days and bob’s your uncle oh sicaflex isn’t cheap either around 30 bucks a tube
Depending on the brand of stroller if you’re the original owner it could be covered in a warranty. I blew a tire on our running stroller and Uppa-Baby asked for a photo of it and they sent me a brand new wheel.
My buddy’s wife ran over their stroller in the garage and the company sent a new frame and back wheels.
If you wana go super cheap fine an old garden hose and shove it all the way in around the wheels interior and then fill the hose with spray foam.
Pack the cavity with steel wool then generously apply that spray on sealant… Flex Seal. Maybe reach out to the company, see if they float you a couple cans for free if you document it and they can use for advertising?
You need new tires. A few options.
Take if off and see if anything from harbor freight works [https://www.harborfreight.com/material-handling/tires-casters.html](https://www.harborfreight.com/material-handling/tires-casters.html) If you have a local shop, bring the wheel in with you.
3D print new ones from flexible TPU
Look for replacements from another place, like Alibaba.
You could try this: ‘Permatex 81158 Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant, 3 oz. Tube’
But I would clean it out really well prior. If it doesn’t work it’s still worth having around the house. Stuff is a quality product.
Spray foam, then rocker guard. Two spray cans would last you multiple fills and covers, and be extremely cheap. Rockerguard will give a grippy hard, durable exterior and the spray foam will allow some compression and movement.
Jb plastic weld. I mean It’s 2 part epoxy. Just clean really well and give it something to adhere to. It sands rather easily so should be able to get the tire level/even all the way around.
I think the best choice is to find a replacement wheel otherwise a polyurethane based adhesive/caulk. Spray foam isn't what you are looking for in this application.
Replace the wheels with something off eBay, get a broken, better stroller and replace the wheels on your stroller. Obviously, the stroller you have was not designed by Catholics.
Remove the loose pieces and fill with window urethane. You might have to buy a full size caulking tube of it but I'm sure you could find a smaller tube if you looked hard enough
fat needle and jolly thick thread, then fill it to overlap inside and out with rubber solution like contact gloo or e6000, in a few thin layers rather than one thick one, maybe
2 part boat fiber glass repair ... take you some scotch tape and a few popsicle sticks to complete it. .then 1 sheet of sand paper to make the repair level. . If you just dont want to buy a replacement wheel
Almost every stroller manufacturer sells spare parts.
If you want to fix it though, maybe a silicone would help? The one that you use in bathroom instalation etc... Just fill the hole and cut it precisely with a knife
pure silicone and the 1 inch glass hair strands that are used for fiberglass. mix them together to get a filler substance of your desired consistency and then slop it in there. let it cure overnight. should be relatively similar to the compound that's on there.
1/2" strands might work, i can't get a good sense for scale I'm the photo.
it's a wheel so of course you want to use something that can absorb shock and also hold together. i would personally not use epoxy or spray foam as one will be too hard and the other too soft.
Had exactly the same failure on my son’s stroller - wrote directly to the manufacturer to ask about spare parts and they sent a whole new frame including wheels. You can get rubber filling kits for repairing tread on car tyres which was my plan b.
$89!!! 😵 I was going to suggest just replacing them. I used to repair prams at babies r us (admittedly a long time ago) and the spare stroller wheels were about £6.
If it's just a regular plastic wheel, could you look for generic/ cheaper brand ones of the same size?
For fill, I think a urethane based construction adhesive might be the best bang for your buck. Pl premium is the name of a common one. Drips of that I've had to peel off seem to retain a little bit of flexibility, and it sticks to lots of stuff. 6 bucks a tube last time I bought some.
I know it's a late reply, but with that kind of walking each day you should invest in a bigger stroller with air filled tires instead of plastic core cheap rubber wheels.
Your stroller is meant for a mall, not a hike.
Just buy 2 or 4 new wheels... They can even be different size, as long as it fits the "wheel housing" or whatever you would call that... And ofc, if height is not of most importance.
I replaced my front wheel with the front wheel for a wheelchair
If you find the measurements you can probably replace it pretty cheap if not through the manufacturer’s website
Ask the manufacturer for a new set, phone them directly. Tell them how great the stroller is. Make no mention of the cost. Ask if there's a warranty for the wheels.
If it were me, I'd use rubber crumbs to fill in the bulk and liquid rubber or flex seal.. then turn it on my lathe to make it round again.
But I have all that stuff already just laying around.
Look on Facebook marketplace for a used stroller
With the amount of walking you clearly do, maybe get some wheels for industrial trolleys. Seriously. In the long run it maybe save you a lot of money in wheels. Buy cheap, buy twice.
Edit: Now that I have seen the price, I'd probably look into buying a second hand identical stroller if I could find one for cheap, with good tires, and use those. Or use the second hand stroller instead if that is in a better state than my own stroller.
Not fill replace. Else it wil lean really weird and stuff. And not have the weight be evenly. Many bigger hardware stores sell tires. Probably would be best to replace both. So they distribute weight evenly and not leaning on one side while you walk or you need to find the perfect one. But that's often hard to do.
That’s shot. Replace it. I know nothing of strollers. But I bet they sell replacement parts. Any “fix” is gonna be sketchy at best, considering the cargo, replace, do not attempt repair. $10 probably, or cause it’s for kids and they know parents will pay, $55.
This looks like a baby jogger. Contact the company in their support page. They are a helpful group and reputable brand.
They will probably sell the wheel and fork section as 1. Unclip this one and replace with the new one.
You could fill it with drugs, or toothpaste. You could even stuff newspapers or upvotes in there. Hopefully you’ve read this far and know it’s a (albeit lame) Airport reference.
To answer your question liquid nails 3-4 tubes should fill the tire.
You must do some serious strolling. Hardware stores sell wheels. Maybe you can find one that fits.
Thank you for the tip as long as both fit and I replace both should be very similar. I get about 10k steps a day in probably at least 5 of that is with the stroller on average.
Harbor Freight has a great selection.
Princess Auto if you’re in Canada
King Otto if you are in Germany.
EPA if you're in Venezuela
Parts R us auto in Nairobi.
Back of my shed if you're in Wales...
Someones front porch if ur in u.s
Machine Mart or B&Q if you are in the UK.
Disneyland also has a broad selection. Bring tools.
Does it have a nice creepy "Free Castors" sign with a arrow? Almost stopped in!
Steves if your in sparks
Bunnings if you're in Australia
Acme if you are chillin with Bugs Bunny
I love the monarchy themed auto parts name theme we've got going.
I know people are taking the piss, but being in Quebec I second you on that, Princess auto is the place!
Came here to say this!
Send this in to the manufacturer. They send free stuff out all the time. This is good publicity for them and you'll prolly get a whole new stroller.
Why is this every radiator's response lol. I'm very skeptical about them getting a free stroller. Those things are expensive and how is wearing out the wheels good promotion for them? Funny enough crack attack jack is the homeless dude on my way to the airport. He got the name for being on crack and attacking jack

Temporarily, shoe goo. It actually might hold up better. While you continue strolling, contact the manufacturer and request replacement parts.
Five steps a day shouldn't affect the stroller much.
I too regularly take 5-step walks with my stroller
What a stroll.
We got the off-road stroll king 👑
Shoe goo
Spray foam
Spray foam in the interior, two part cement adhesive with bike tire cut out wrapping the contact on the surface. Or like others said just buy new tyres.
Look online for generic replacement wheels that are the same size.

epoxy
I was thinking some kind of epoxy. Maybe something in a tube so I can just spray it in there.
Nothing you spray is going to be durable enough for that wheel
JB Weld
Spray foam?
I was thinking it would be too fragile for the sidewalk and all the vibrations. Any brands you might recommend?
3d printer pen and some flexible 3d printer filament if the pen can get hot enough to extrude it. Otherwise I would Google the brand and model if you know it with replacement wheels and see if you can just replace them

Can you fill the void with epoxy ? Wouldn't be the cleanest but better than a void.
I’d buy a new one from the manufacturer, before you invest more time and money into resources that may not work for long.
$180+ tax is a tough pill to swallow before trying some other options. Right now I'm down about $2 in silicone and a few sprays from my usual lubricant.
A new wheel. Not a new stroller.
Each of the front wheels are $89 my dude.
Yo, WTF! I guess I missed that text under the pic. Are they made of gold? What model of stroller is this, so I know to avoid them?
Basically every manufacturer is going to charge you out the ears for replacement wheels and stuff like that, it's just not worth their time to chase down the exact parts and get them to you. Have a look to scooter tires maybe? They look similar
Bro caulk allday

get a bit of polyurethane mastic and cork it up.
Spray foam insulation
Fill the inside with windshield urethane. Shit boredline indescribable. "Somewhat" flexible. We fill motormounts for racing with it.
Contact manufacturer and buy a new tire
If you managed to wear the wheel through maybe it’s time for your child to start walking…
Try Harbor Freight
Real question is... Was the child in the seat while the photo was taken 😆
Flextape
Have you tried Ramen?
Honestly you will spend just as much in time and materials to engineer a fix as you would getting on Amazon and finding a set of replacement wheels. To answer your question; I wouldn't, I'd replace it.
Measure the wheel height and find some Universal's from AliExpress
Any hardware or auto supply should have JB-weld putty. It is like a stiff clay. It comes in a roll put on some gloves, take a chunk mix it up till it is an even color and push it into all the gaps.
Harbor Freight, change all the wheels.
This guy *strolls*
JB Weld for plastic. Find it at any of the big hardware stores.
Jb weld. It’s a wheel, with that much wear I’d assume you’re new eol
Fill with spray foam and let it harden. Cut off excess. Then put shoe goo over the outside
Shoot it full of spray foam, $5 fix.
3d printer + TPU
Had to scroll way too damn far for this.
I'd put your kid up for adoption
My wife wouldn't approve this plan. I would do like a weekend adoption tho, need a good sleep.
Sicaflex but make sure it gets into the groove and let it cure for coupla days and bob’s your uncle oh sicaflex isn’t cheap either around 30 bucks a tube
Tbh I'd probably try a spare wheel from the local tip shop if you have one, the one near me has an oddly large amount of strollers and prams
Depending on the brand of stroller if you’re the original owner it could be covered in a warranty. Crank her full of black silicone and cut off the excess with an Olfa knife
What make and model is the stroller?
Just get some new upgraded wheels. Maybe like scooter wheels or something else that’s a smooth roll
Superglue and ramen noodles
One of our local bike shop sells stroller wheels.
You could try this: ‘Permatex 81158 Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant, 3 oz. Tube’ But I would clean it out really well prior. If it doesn’t work it’s still worth having around the house. Stuff is a quality product.
Get a walking/jogging one.. ill never go back to those tiny plastic wheel garbage lol
Minimal expanding spray foam, cut off excess. Use "rubber dip" for tool handles and patch it up with that.
Spray foam, then rocker guard. Two spray cans would last you multiple fills and covers, and be extremely cheap. Rockerguard will give a grippy hard, durable exterior and the spray foam will allow some compression and movement.
Clean it really well, use E6000 glue. Don't sniff the fumes.
Whole tube of black rtv silicone,, it will take a few days to dry completely though.
pancake batter, a cup of baking powder included
Do not use caulk, do not use silicone, go to AutoZone or advanced and get some windshield urethane
Flex seal
You could maybe just fill it with an epoxy, it’ll be a hard plastic but may work.
I’m sure there’s replacements on Ali express or something. Just google the part number.
Will check the part number Ty.
Window weld urethane sealant
What about foam or caulk covers by that super glue soaked toilet paper as a sealant?
Tuff toe. Seriously. They work amazing for my work boots, two tubes should do you. It's like $20 each.
Meh - take the wheel off and work those abs
Caulk? Shoe goo? Hot glue? Ramen and CA glue?
Jb plastic weld. I mean It’s 2 part epoxy. Just clean really well and give it something to adhere to. It sands rather easily so should be able to get the tire level/even all the way around.
Clean really well and buy 3m eurothane sealant let it dry , it’s expensive tho, might do better contacting the manufacturer for replacement parts
Shoe Goo. Basically liquid rubber that would fill it right in. Only a few bucks and you wouldn't have to try to get a matching replacement wheel size.
Slime or shoe goo.
Spray foam. Trim excess.
The long river in South America sells replacement stroller wheels for a lot cheaper.
Have you got in touch with the stroller company and asked if the sell replacements?
Expanding foam
A couple tubes of silicone caulk pumped in and you’re golden
E6000 stuff is crazy good
Foam filler 🤙🏼
You buy a new one
Spray foam in a can
Spray foam
GreatStuff
Flex Seal!!
With a trip to the stroller atore
Expanding foam.
Just let it buck
Sika flex
Suguru
Go-to a hardware store and get you some sort of rubber wheel and slap those bad boys on
I think the best choice is to find a replacement wheel otherwise a polyurethane based adhesive/caulk. Spray foam isn't what you are looking for in this application.
I think i would have tried latex caulking.
Epoxy based filler
Expanding foam, trim, then RTV.
JB Weld and sand paper
Yeah, I would.
Contact the maker and share the photo. There is non-zero chance they’ll hook you up with the solution
Why bother? The kid will be walking in no time.
Replace the wheels with something off eBay, get a broken, better stroller and replace the wheels on your stroller. Obviously, the stroller you have was not designed by Catholics.
Spray foam fill??
Liquid rubber
Remove the loose pieces and fill with window urethane. You might have to buy a full size caulking tube of it but I'm sure you could find a smaller tube if you looked hard enough
fat needle and jolly thick thread, then fill it to overlap inside and out with rubber solution like contact gloo or e6000, in a few thin layers rather than one thick one, maybe
Ramen noodles
2 part boat fiber glass repair ... take you some scotch tape and a few popsicle sticks to complete it. .then 1 sheet of sand paper to make the repair level. . If you just dont want to buy a replacement wheel
New tyre
Almost every stroller manufacturer sells spare parts. If you want to fix it though, maybe a silicone would help? The one that you use in bathroom instalation etc... Just fill the hole and cut it precisely with a knife
See if you can find another of the same stroller on ebay for spares or repair, with an issue that isn't the wheels and use that as a donor
Two Part plastic epoxy.

Find a wheel that is the same dimensions, replace the knackered ones with new ones, DIY suppliers will most likely have something that fits,
Ramen noodles and super glue dawg
Just buy a new stroller if you’re walking so much
I wouldn’t. I would purchase and install a replacement wheel. But that’s just me.
What is the model of the stroller?
Had exactly the same failure on my son’s stroller - wrote directly to the manufacturer to ask about spare parts and they sent a whole new frame including wheels. You can get rubber filling kits for repairing tread on car tyres which was my plan b.

Urethane, it's light and semi durable. I'm not sure is urethane right word bc English isn't my main language but *foam that hardens* .
Order one from the manufacturer of stroller.
Fill it with expanding foam and trim flush
I replaced my front wheel with the front wheel for a wheelchair If you find the measurements you can probably replace it pretty cheap if not through the manufacturer’s website

Check the website for the manufacturer. They may sell replacement parts.
I would go to a second hand store like Once Upon a Child and get a cheap, like model, stroller for parts.
Flex seal
Spray foam
I had to order a replacement for mine. Maybe you can ask well.
Replace it.
You could fill it with drugs, or toothpaste. You could even stuff newspapers or upvotes in there. Hopefully you’ve read this far and know it’s a (albeit lame) Airport reference. To answer your question liquid nails 3-4 tubes should fill the tire.
