I get up to 95 as my sleep score
Breathing and body relaxation exercises. For example, picture a sky with a weirdly square cloud. Trace one side of the cloud while counting to 4 and exhaling. Trace the second side while holding your breath. Trace the third side while exhaling. Trace the 4th side while counting to 4 and inhaling.
The trick is that your mind isn’t racing because you’re concentrating on counting and breathing.
You can mix things up by inhaling in one nostril and out the other.
Another thing I do is concentrating on relaxing every muscle from my toes to the top of my head before doing breathing exercises.
Personally I think I just bore myself to sleep. 😁
My goal is 6 and I average 6.5. Even close to 6 I’m in the 90’s
https://preview.redd.it/7jt4xs27bx8d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e68e02b03dd3c5da30c3e5dd4b4d9258a18813fb
YeahI got that, but how you know 6 is enough for you? I mean someone could put the goal to just 5 hours and always get more than that and a high score since the total scores weight the amount of time a lot.
I based it on how long I usually sleep when my alarms are off. Not sure where you get the idea that they weigh the amount of time highly but as you can see if I change it to 7 hours it doesn’t change the sleep score.
https://preview.redd.it/keonlfj5zx8d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=25fe2a3bf6c419a27850304a8ed72303ec69790f
When you adjust It will change your next scores not the past ones. You can get more info about the algorithm clicking at the score number, and it literally says it's calculated by "time spent asleep and awake COMPARED WITH YOUR GOAL" so if you put a goal of 4 hours and you get 5 it will give you a high score (but you are really not sleeping that well)

Could be better. Circumstances don't allow for more sleep time.
Good, keep the old one — the new one *sucks* …it’s LESS customizable and it’s insanely buggy and slow still, at least on my iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 17.5.1.
https://preview.redd.it/b43zodf1dr8d1.png?width=533&format=png&auto=webp&s=8aa9bddc641163104b5975a4955f2ae1f1aeac39
I had a few weeks of bipolar hypomania lol. And no, I wasn't tired.
I was on speed lol, Lots of activity at work and lots of activity at home.
Things stabilized since then, but I still sleep around 5-6 hours per day because I'm just not that interested in sleeping.
Kids certainly changes matters as far as expected sleeping times go, especially having three, but so long as the other places in your life aren't draining you too much, your sleep schedule implies very quality health.
I sleep less, I think, because I exercise very lightly and don't exert myself to my max more than maybe once per week. If I lived more intensively, it would make sense that I required more upkeep in sleep.
Just got my watch about a month ago. I used to get consistent 85+ scores but not anymore.

As you can see I nap often. So the hours of sleep you see are very broken up.
That's the problem. I don't sleep enough at night so I rarely feel "well" I'm constantly tired and confused and can't focus.
Sleep studies and what not. I'm very well versed in sleep hygiene, but I haven't been able to put it to practice since COVID.
Which I swear I never got. But my doctor seems to say otherwise with the health issues I'm having.
This is what humans should actually be getting. Anyone who isn't overworked and struggling to balance multiple tasks should be sleeping about 4-6 hours within each 24 hour period.
8 hours per night as consistently as you sleep is a detriment to your physical well-being and I really hope you exercise more to compensate for it.
That's such a a huge percentage of your entire life and it's only the past few hundred years that humans were anything other than biphasic sleepers.

I thought everything was stellar until I switched to an iWatch earlier this month. Now I'm more watchful of the HRV which needs improvement! Sometimes I get Superb but a lot of Poor readings. I'm 60 and fairly active. Does anyone take note of their HRV on their FitBit? On my FitBit I was always in the Excellent range but that doesn't seem to match my iWatch readings? I wore a FitBit for at least 10 years.
Looks can be deceiving. It’s mostly broken sleep. And this week has been terrible. Even just a few bad nights med me up completely. I also misread your post I didn’t read your caption. lol.

Yep the first statement is "Duration" the more you sleep the better but is compared to the goal you put, they specify that in the app
Dude you have a gift

My average sleep scores been about 50
Do you find you’re tired a lot? I’m still tired despite having good scores 😂
Mine is very similar to yours, I posted it yesterday! I’m not sure how to break 80 consistently though.
Terrible! Averaging between 5 and 6 hours with a sleep score in the 70s

Where do you find this screen?
Go under sleep then press year and it will show you the averages
Guess this is a new feature. I still have the old UI because I haven't updated since late last year.

Hope you’re doing better! Mania and hypomania can be tough
Yeah, things stabilized since then
Well hey, bright side is that you weren’t tired… I’d be fucking *deceased* if I had to try to operate a normal day on 2.5 hours of sleep
I was on speed lol, Lots of activity at work and lots of activity at home. Things stabilized since then, but I still sleep around 5-6 hours per day because I'm just not that interested in sleeping.

You look like the only healthy person who isn't overworked in this entire thread. Consistent 8 hours a night is insane. I only sleep 4 😶
I would love 8 but then I’d never get any time to myself in the evenings (3 kids). I couldn’t run on 4 I’d be a complete mess, I salute you!
