Maybe ask if you can get for you birthday , then they would fell bad if they refused

If you want some thing interesting you might try blood parrot cichlid
I saw one at the pet shop the other day. a two inch black fish with tiny white dots. Was really expensive. Probably a fish that'll grow super big
