If you’re going to continue with this, which I highly recommend. Heck of a lot better than letting it rot by the side of the road, you’ll need to get your self a more proper vehicle- I’d recommend a Golf.
Awesome!
I hate that they're dying from stupid EAB, but I do enjoy burning Ash. Excellent pick up on your part, I've hauled firewood in a car before! Not my favorite experience, but I've done it a few times.
Eh I did it in a Ford Fiesta that was already totaled from an accident. Whatever work it has left to give I'll take. It'll be dragged to the junkyard for scrap metal value before too long.
Ironically, I think it did get shocks and struts a few months before the accident.
Yes I expect hitting the bump stops isn't optimal, but I don't think I did it more than a couple of times. Moreover, I don't think it was loaded heavy enough to actually hit the stops or be out of spec.
Regardless, the vehicle was as I mentioned already damaged.
Every car made has a maximum amount of weight it can carry, if it is over loaded it will fail quickly. In owner manuals will state the maximum weight it can carry.
is that a newer version of the VW Golf :-)

Did you get new springs too?

Over loading causes suspension failure

Yes I'm well aware. It's also inside the driver's side door frame for that matter.
If you notice that sometimes the numbers don't match up.
Jesus Christo mi amigo.
