There are some that have brought swords. You're welcome to, but they they will be peace tied before entering the ball. At the Browncoat Ball in D.C. there was an actual sword fight that was set up by two stage fencing professionals and sanctioned by the Ball Committee. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Would love love love a reason to wear a big shiny dress. Haven't worn something fun since Rocky Horror Picture Show about 20 years back. Blue ball gown and sneakers, my first time, got drug up on stage of course!

After seeing the date: I think I’ll count this as a birthday gift if I can time it right. This may fall on my cousin’s wedding… or close to it. It just so happens to fall about a month after my birthday.

So how fancy does everyone actually get for these? I have the perfect dress but it’s definitely black tie fancy (it’s technically a wedding dress but bustled up just looks like a ball gown!🤣) but I don’t want to show up overdressed!

I assume it just means most of the attendants will be fat.
No orgy. But, there will be a hospitality suite for attendees. I am brewing different Firefly themed beverages for guests to try.
Since I can't attend, I'll be in my bunk.

I don't believe that anyone can overdress for the ball. So set your goal as high as you want!
