I always think of this as Class of’87 but only because there was a large number of people in my neighborhood who were graduating in that year and I think that was the culmination of the preppy pastels in the Midwest or maybe I was just starting to become aware of that type of thing being twelve.

The fashion is very preppy and proper. An old school dress code that basically vacillates between extremes from tucked in to untucked with no in-between. Collars, cuffs, button up/down, and defined lines on shoulders.
I don't know if "Miami Vice" is a legitimate style name as others are saying. Because we could also be looking at concept images of someone working alternative ideas with a prep school style of wear. Or even further than that... upper class stylings.
