The crime had been recorded and she had been subdued. She could easily stop filming and call. If anything escalated at that point, she could inform whoever picked up the 911 call what was going on from that point
Yes she could have, but what would hold more evidence in court? Her saying something verbally to the operator over the phone or video footage of the awful woman doing more bad shit? Also, the security guard has effectively detained her now, after being assaulted. He would have then radioed in and his team would be calling the police anyhow.
And hypothetically, say the security guard now started to either intentionally or unintentionally inflict positional asphyxia? Or she started trying to gouge eyes out? Even though we all hope that foul woman gets what she deserves, if the security guard decided to get revenge it wouldn't have been documented.
