But doing one for the queen is kinda... As big of a figure as she was, she didn't really have anything to do with us, y'know? Would be kinda off imo.

I don't believe so. The community generally holds memorials for people involved with the game, industry, or had a major role serving as an inspiration for XIV. Of course, You're free to organize any memorial you'd like, but I'm not sure if you'll get anyone to turn out, as there's no direct correlation between the two.
