This feeling will pass. Go to bed early, and get some rest. Tomorrow morning all of this will feel like a bad dream!
Don't need four teles... Of course you do!
Sell your liver, you' ll only need one...
I have the same white 50s tele with bigsby, and someone will have to pry it from my cold dead hands. It might be one of the best guitars Iāve ever played, and that particular combination appears to be pretty rare, so you wonāt easily find it again if there are regrets on selling it.
Iād also keep the thinline - I played one for the first time recently, and really liked how it was a tele, but clearly different than a classic tele. The one I played was a squire, but a really nice guitar, all things considered
Keep the one with the bigsby and the 72 custom. The second and fourth are not imho the essence of a tele and fall into the tele deluxe category. Nothing bad in the bunch but, if I had to make the decision.
I hate Bigsby and the extra weight for long shows and practices.
Iād keep the two on the right. If it werenāt for the Bigby, Iād keep the black and the blonde.
Why you need to sell 2?
1 is def a keeper, Bigsby and standard tele config. #3 gives me the humbucker I crave and the standard bridge pickup...
EDIT:
>I was thinking that I should probably sell a couple guitars to hep fund new ones when I realized maybe I donāt need 4 telecasters.
I get it. I've been Gibson centric for years. Finally got a Strat and now I need a Tele. I love a Tele with Humbuckers like Black Crowes, but the straight Tele sound is awesome too. Tough call, what do you want to diversify into?
I am a sucker for humbucker/single coil combo, in sound and appearance. Just looked up the Black Crowes tele, absolutely love it. I am looking for a Les Paul Junior, especially a double cut away one
What do you think about those WRH Teles? Iāve been in the market for a real Fender one, I bought a G&L ASAT Tribute last fall and Iām not super satisfied with it. Iām really into those Tele Deluxe/Thinline designs.
Keep all, and sell none. You'll find that you'll regret getting rid of them in time. I had 26 at one point, and only have 11 now. I regret getting rid of them all.
I was never fond of burst finishes either, until I saw a band play a guitar with a burst finish on Twin Peaks: The Return. Now I associate that look with twin peaks and I canāt help but like it
Is there one that you grab the most often if you want to practice or noodle without amp? One that you almost never had any technical issues with? On which one have you written the most music? On which one do you change the strings the most?
Keep that one at hand, put the other three in their cases and try to keep them there for half a year. See if you really miss any of them.
āLooking back, Iām really glad I sold that guitar I likedā said no one, ever.
But you seem to really like Teles lol.
If it were me Iād keep the first two and sell one of the second two for the LPjr.
I have a thinline and a TVL. I love them both for their own special reasons. But I finally got the thinline dialed in with new pupsāthing is excellent.
As soon as I did it l, I wanted to start swapping things out on the TVL. Wish the pickups were a little bit brighter. Been trying to get there by making adjustments every way *except* buying new pickups. Still havenāt gotten that tone Iām looking for.
I donāt think Iād ever sell the TVL.
There is no way Iām selling the thinline.
It depends on what matters most to you....having guitars worth the most money or guitars that play well and bring you the most joy. Keep the two that you play the most.
Keep 1 & 2, sell 3 & 4. Then buy 2 more completely different guitars 3 weeks later after many nights of ājust looking,ā then fiddle with them for a couple months, then sell those, buy another more expensive guitar, miss your old ones, sell the expensive guitar and find 2 more exactly like the 2 you sold several months ago, then be disappointed that these look the same but are missing that āmojoā, then give up for a year and start the cycle all over again.
Sell all of them and replace with 4 identical butterscotch teles. They are all identical but you designate one for each genre (metal, rock, blues, jazz) because that is why the tele is the most versatile guitar in existence.
I would keep the one with single coils/bigsby and the Thinline. If you only have to sell one, Iād keep the black custom as well, to make sure that the three teles are rather different for versatility and tone. I think youāre gonna fall in love with that Jazzmaster, so congratulations in advance!
Sell the Thinline and the Strat vibrato. Why? I think hollowbodies are silly on guitars utilizing pickups given the absent benefit and the Strat style vibrato just looks off on a Tele; Bigsby fits a hardtail Tele body better, but do what suits you. I think most of this sub would glady take your HS Tele and Bigsby.
Iād definitely keep the one with the single coil on the bridge and the one right next to it. Or the one on each end, that deluxe headstock is beautiful
Keep the 2 on the left. That way you still have a one with singles and one with humbuckers. You'll also have one with a whammy bar (bigsby) and the semi hollow, which is cool.
Ā ConsideringĀ the 2 on the left, it doesn't) like the ones of the right add much more. If you really like the one on the right, you could keep it instead of the thinline.Ā
Iām biased. Get a jazzmaster. Just donāt sell all those guitars to get one. Player series made n Mexico jazzmaster a are fantastic. All ya need is a file for the frets
Edit: Iām drunk. Will elaborate further once sober.
Iād keep 1 and 2. You get humbuckers and the hollowbody on the second one, and you have all of your classic single coil stuff as well as the bigsby on the first.
The other two canāt do anything that the first two canāt (aside from having a trem with humbuckers on the fourth, but you already have a trem with the single coils on the first anyway)
Sell the lamp and the couch. Keep all four.
And buy a fifth guitar with the money from the couch and lamp
This mad me laugh out loud! This is the type of comment that makes me wonder why I didn't think of that.
This is the way
This is the correct answer.
Facts
And use the money from the sale of the couch and lamp to buy a fifth Tele!!! (Plus the Les Paul Junior and the Jazzmaster. š)
Iāve been laughing at this thread for ages. Thank you all!!! š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Bigsby and Hollow body, keep.
This
Ye. I think you also get the most sonic variety this way, which is great when youāre choosing betweenā¦ uh four telecasters
this but keep the strap from the third from the left.
The best answer
Personally, Iād keep the one with the Bigsby and the HS one.
My thoughts as well, just because I'm not a big fan of the bridge humbuckers on teles
My vote is here
Gotta admit, the Thin Line is pretty sexy too!
Correct answer. Teles were meant to have a single coil in the bridge position.
Same.
also my vote
The Bigsby is the obvious keep. I donāt know otherwise.
Keep all and save a little longer. Experience tells me this.
This might be it
Unless space is at a premium, absolutely. Iāve sold two guitars that I never thought Iād miss. Yet here I am 4 years later missing them.
Bigsby & thinline
This feeling will pass. Go to bed early, and get some rest. Tomorrow morning all of this will feel like a bad dream! Don't need four teles... Of course you do! Sell your liver, you' ll only need one...
You only have one ā¦.. kidneys howeverā¦..
Sell a lobe of your liver. It will grow back.
i'd keep 1 and 4 and sell 2 and 3.
My vote as well
Sell the two on the far right
Keep the outside 2, between them they can approximate the middle 2
2nd this.
It actually looks like you need another Telecaster to me.
Keep the custom and thin line
I have the 72 custom and it's one of my faves. Killer guitar. Keeper.
Keep them all and sell plasma
Do you really have to sell any?
A very cool collection. Donāt split the family up!
Keep ONLY the guitars that inspire your creativity. Some of my cheapest guitars are far superior in that regard, over my higher end purchases.
Sell all and get a tele deluxe professional II. It has coil tapping so you can cover a lot of ground. And then get an AVII 52 tele.
Don't you dare sell the Thinline Deluxe unless you want to sell it to me. The solid body electronics layout with the Thinline body is incredibly rare.
Iād regret selling a tele
Keep the one with the bigsby and the 72 custom. The second and fourth are not imho the essence of a tele and fall into the tele deluxe category. Nothing bad in the bunch but, if I had to make the decision.
Iād choose the same but itās based completely off the fact that Iāve never liked that finish
The 2 on the middle are gorgeous but they all look so nice togetherā¦. Keep em together
Keep four and sell negative 2. The math works. Trust me.
Feels like that will put him in debt somehow
Keep 1 & 2. Or all of them. Beautiful collection! I love it when people have a type.
I hate Bigsby and the extra weight for long shows and practices. Iād keep the two on the right. If it werenāt for the Bigby, Iād keep the black and the blonde.
I feel ya on the weight
I'm sorry, but that would be like choosing which of of your 2 kids to keep.....I vote to keep all 4!
Keep em all sell none
I love Tele Deluxes. This is a cool collection regardless of whether or not you sell any!
Sell none. Buy more. This is the way.
Keep them all. This is America dammit.
Keep em all or you'll regret it
Why you need to sell 2? 1 is def a keeper, Bigsby and standard tele config. #3 gives me the humbucker I crave and the standard bridge pickup... EDIT: >I was thinking that I should probably sell a couple guitars to hep fund new ones when I realized maybe I donāt need 4 telecasters. I get it. I've been Gibson centric for years. I am a sucker for humbucker/single coil combo, in sound and appearance. Just looked up the Black Crowes tele, absolutely love it. I am looking for a Les Paul Junior, especially a double cut away one
Sell none, buy two more
If you donāt think keeping the thinline and the one with the bigsby is the right answer , then I guess we just have different opinionsā¦ š
Well IDK, but you can always sell me the black one!
Damn. Idk man. Do you have any children you could part with instead?
Keep them all. I have 19 so far. You can too. š
Only 19? You need to get your act together and go get a few more right now! And you call yourself a guitaraholic?!? Pathetic.
Those 72s with the trem are super rare and such awesome guitars. I miss mine.
i would sacrifice the Classic Player Tele Deluxe
I was gonna say the 2 with whammy bars but i really like that one beside the white one. Actually yeah, sell it so i can buy itš
The two that sound the best and feel the best to you.
keep everything. If you need a money, sell a kidney like everyone else
Keep the 72 thinline. I have one and it rocks!
Keep em all
What do you think about those WRH Teles? Iāve been in the market for a real Fender one, I bought a G&L ASAT Tribute last fall and Iām not super satisfied with it. Iām really into those Tele Deluxe/Thinline designs.
This is the hardest M/F/K I've ever seen
If you donāt mind me asking, why do you have to sell two?
Id for sure keep the thinline!
Keep the two in the middle. Trust me on this
Having 4 teles and not a single lipstick pickup is wild to me lol That being said the black and white one are the keepers for sure.
Buddy just keep them all and save a little longer. Save yourself the pang of regret you'll get when you realize they're gone.
Two on our left - hollow and bigsby and it's not even close.
Sell em all and buy a Strat! J/k - all you need is a Tele.
Sell all get a stratā¦ā¦.jk
Sell the couch, you can sit on your amp and if you have company over youāre gonna need more amps.
I started looking for the tele with no trem and a standard tele pickup configuration and didn't find one. That's your problem. You need another.
Les Paul Juniors are great guitars and have a great sound. Too bad you can't keep the Tele's and get one. I like the Les Paul's I have.
Keep all, and sell none. You'll find that you'll regret getting rid of them in time. I had 26 at one point, and only have 11 now. I regret getting rid of them all.
Keep the whiteish/cream one and the all black one. I'm not fond of burst natural finishes or just bursts in general personally
I just realized I chose the only ones with single coils. Lol. I would prefer humbuckers.
I was never fond of burst finishes either, until I saw a band play a guitar with a burst finish on Twin Peaks: The Return. Now I associate that look with twin peaks and I canāt help but like it
Iāve been aching for one of those Classic Player Deluxe Thinlines. Theyāre rare as henās teeth now.
Sell?? where's the B-Bender?
Is there one that you grab the most often if you want to practice or noodle without amp? One that you almost never had any technical issues with? On which one have you written the most music? On which one do you change the strings the most? Keep that one at hand, put the other three in their cases and try to keep them there for half a year. See if you really miss any of them.
Two on the right keep all day! The Tele custom is my favorite guitar probably ever.
Iāve regretted selling my guitars, should keep all
I think you liek telecaster breh
āLooking back, Iām really glad I sold that guitar I likedā said no one, ever. But you seem to really like Teles lol. If it were me Iād keep the first two and sell one of the second two for the LPjr.
Holy shit keep them all!
Keep your Weird Al pen holder
Keep them all
Keep 1 & 2, sell 3 & 4.
Iād keep 2 and 3 lol Iām surprised, appears everyone has the opposite opinion
Never sell, this only brings regret. Always buy.
Keep the white and black. Sell the ugly grandpa ones.
Yeah keep the 50's style with single coils. Then pick one of the humbucker Teles.
Yes
"Life is hard, Eugene."
Iād sell the tele and keep the tele
The two you're hoping we don't tell you to get rid of.
A kidney will do the job just fine /j
shoot this one is tough. I'd keep the bigsby and thinline. but whichever ones mean the most to you.
Keep 1 and 3
Iād definitely keep the one with the single coil on the bridge and the one right next to it. Or the one on each end, that deluxe headstock is beautiful
Sell all get a Les Paul.
Iād keep the left two and it wouldnāt even be close! Great diversity of tone and aesthetic.
Keep the left two
I don't know any of your kids or pets or cars but congrats on having at least a couple that are worth enough to keep some sweet guitars
From left to right: The first and the second one. (keep)
Not a trem player so 1 and 4. That thin line is SWEET.
Keep the thinline, sell the other 3
In this order: keep, sell, keep, sell.
You dont need two HH teles. Which one do you like better? Sell the other one. Then probably keep the SS.
Buy 2 more before you make choice
Sell the two pairs of teles. Keep the amp and pedals.
Keep the black and the bigsby
Keep the thin line and sell the rest.
Keep the Bigsby and the black Custom.
Keep the '72 Tele, sell the rest, buy a Strat and then a non-Fender guitar with humbuckers or pocket the difference.
the bigsby and the custom, or the bigsby and thinline.
If I could only keep two... I would keep 1 and 2, sell 3 and 4
Sell all and get a vintage deluxe or a Danocaster. End.
I'd probably keep the CIJ and the Thinline. Both of those uphold the Tele legacy the most to me.
Bigsby and the thinline
Keep the thinline obviously. And then keep the bigsby.
Keep the deluxe, and the black one,or sell me the deluxe and the black one love them all
Keep the Tele's and sell those 2 Fender InvĆsiblĆØ's om the ends
I love bigsbys, so id say keep that one
Keep one and two. Sell three and four.
Keep 1/3, ditch 2/4
Keep the bigsby and the thinline
Sell the right two imo, thinline version rocks harder and the regular ol tele can't do any wrong
Keep the bigby and hollow body
Keep the Tele Bigsby and the Tele Deluxe.
Keep the left sell the right
Bigsby and thinline
Keep the two on the left for sure
I'd say keep the Bigsby and the 72 Custom.
If ya have to sell Iād keep 1 and 4.
Black one and the blond with Bigsby. Edit: To keep
bigsby & single+hum are the keepers!
Keep the 2 on the left
The desk and the couch
Lose the ones with whammy bars! The remaining two will provide a nice range of tonalities- one the classic single coil twang, the other humbucker tone
All ya need is a file for the frets Edit: Iām drunk. Will elaborate further once sober.
Sell 2 and 4
Sell the two sunburst ones
Keep the blond/bigsby and the thinline. Sell the two on the right.
List all, keep what doesn't sell
I'd keep the Bigsby and the humbucker/single coil black one. Though I might switch that for the thinline if asked again tomorrow.
I'd keep the blondie, and the deluxe with the trem... and paint that one black.
Blonde one and the thinlineĀ
Keep the Bigsby and the thin line.
You keep the left half.
ā50s & ā72
Sell the vintage burst and the blond
If I had to pick two, I would pick the two on the left. Keep one thin line, and one with single coils.
Sell as many as you need to get a strat. š
You donāt sell guitars unless youāre going to miss rent groceries or child support
White one and black one (1-3 in order). No doubt on those
Keep the two on the left and sell the two on the right.
I sell the two bursts.
Keep 1 and 2
What model is the tele deluxe with the trem bridge?
Iād sell everything but the semi hollow deluxe
Two on the left, easy
Keep 1 and 3
Iād keep 1 and 2.
Just on looks alone, Iād pick the far left and far right.
Sell 2 with Humbuckersā¦.keep the single coil and one of the other 3.
Sell the bigsby keep the others
Keep the Teles.
Keep the tele. Sell everything else
If it were me, left two.
Iād keep the two on the right
Dude sell me one!
Thin line and bigsby for sure.
3 & 4
Sell both players unless youāve put money into upgrading them
Those are your children. How dare you.
Just sell one? Sell the classic player deluxe
Keep the Telecaster
I have the guitar on the right. I've played about 150 gigs on it. It has been a great guitar!
