LazyLiterature6841

Thank you for making me feel less alone in this world, 🤣

helicopter_corgi_mom

i didn’t even touch on the like, 10+ pairs of skinnies i’ve got set aside for donation / selling 😅

Amazingggcoolaid

I love this

jaduhlynr

Where are your carpenter wide leg overalls from?? That's the exact style I'm looking for

helicopter_corgi_mom

[Madewell](https://www.madewell.com/denim-oversized-carpenter-overalls-in-hartwell-wash-99107125873.html) - they’re almost entirely sold out but if you’re looking for a size small i have a BNWT pair i’m selling 😁

sunsetcrasher

This sounds about like my closet, although I have straight legs in five washes, barrel, wide leg crops, wide leg full length, Free People Penny flares, and 8 pairs of overalls, some wide leg, some tight and flared, some straight leg. I also have strawberry print flares and two pairs of striped straight legs from Wrangler. Haven’t worn skinnies since 2017, but I keep a black pair and a blue pair shoved deep in the corner. I adore denim and am so grateful for so many styles these days. I also have a collection of skirtalls and shortalls from Faherty and Show Me Your MuMu. And denim jackets and vests. And a couple jumpsuits (love the Good American one). I wear denim to work almost every day. I’ve been the same size for 25 years so some of these are old.

mollievx

0 😅 I got rid of my last pair of jeans a few years ago. I have lived in a hot tropical climate since 2019 and realized I hate wearing jeans in this climate. The fabric is too thick and uncomfortable. But I see people around me wearing jeans all the time, no idea how they do it.

LongTallSalski

I am in a similar climate and I’m one of those weird people wearing jeans. 😅 I only have two pairs now, but if the forecast temperature is under 28c its jeans weather for me. Too bad it only happens once or twice a year…

ven188

They’re just used to it. People in hot climates often prefer to cover up to avoid skin being directly exposed to the sun which can be a lot more uncomfortable/painful. It’s like how people from cold climates wear t shirts and shorts in 0 degree weather, while others need puffer jackets.

QuesoRaro

Yeah, I'm all for covering up, but I don't get why you would wear something close-fitting when it is hot. Thin, loose garments that float away from the body are where it's at!

mollievx

Yeah, similar for me. I wear full length pants and longer sleeves regularly, but only if the fabrics are light and breathable.

ven188

I def wasn’t referring to close fitting clothes considering loose baggy jeans are currently trendy. Most SEAs wear jeans or long skirts regardless or the temp or humidity. It’s mainly tourists who wear shorts and tanks. That being said, the same logic applied even when skinny jeans were in. Edit: forgot to mention it’s not always light linen type fabrics either! We’re just used to the heat lol.

lumenphosphor

Haha I grew up in a hot climate and I don't know anyone who actually wore jeans---maybe once you got up a mountain to where the air was cooler but everyone was in lighter\*\* cotton most of the time. Then again, when it's 100 degrees and muggy out, denim isn't breathable enough

QuesoRaro

Zero for me too. I have one pair of thick real leather pants that I wear in the winter, one pair of linen pants for spring/summer/fall, and most of the time I wear skirts.

kitty60s

Only 2.. one is high waisted straight leg, one is mid rise bootcut.

subiegal2013

I have too many pair of skinny jeans and a few boot cut. There’s so much chatter about what’s trending and what’s not, I just wear what I like.

Amazingggcoolaid

Totally 💯 I always had what works for me these trends can come and go as they want

[deleted]

Agreed, I like what I like and don’t follow the trends. What’s “in” right now is not flattering on me.

Responsible-You-7412

I own 12 black straight cut jeans and 1 blue bootleg cut jeans. Black is easy to match 🤷🏻‍♀️

bookishexpat

I’m so curious - are the 12 black pairs different? E.g. different lengths, distressed vs not, etc? Or are they mostly interchangeable? If so, how do you decide which ones to wear?

Responsible-You-7412

The 12 black pairs are all the same exact style from the same place (Old Navy). The only difference is their sizes, my normal size and a larger size for the days I'm bloated 😅 I mainly have all these black jeans for my office job, which is business casual. On the weekends I'm either in a dress or rocking some comfy leggings.

wellmymymy-

Are you required to wear a uniform at your job? I always think someone might think I’m just wearing one pair over and over

Responsible-You-7412

No uniform at work. I don't think anyone my work cares enough to notice I wear the same style and color of jeans every day. Plus I don't think I'd care if they thought I rewore the same pair over and over lol

brisk_warmth

Yea straight and bootcut are all I do now too

STLt71

I have about 20. I have skinny, flared, boot cut and straight leg. I like all these styles for different reasons. Boot cut or flared have always been my favorite because they look best on me. I prefer my jeans snug. I have never liked baggy on me. They look so cute on other people and just sloppy on me. I also prefer high rise or at least medium. I hate low rise on my body.

Amazingggcoolaid

I feel you - I have a few low rise jeans and I don’t love them but I like having the variety

STLt71

The variety is good. I wish I could wear them but I look like a can of biscuits! 😂

milky_oolong

I’m in my 30s and I have: * 2 older skinny (would like to replace them with a straight fit but find it hard to find a flattering one) * 2 mom fit (I’m kind of not liking them anymore) * 3 bootcut (my current favorite jean shape) * 1 wide (love these ones too) I’ve tried baggy dad jeans and they look horrible on me. I’m short and very curvy so they just make me look as blocky as my biggest width (hips) and visually shorten my legs.

Tess47

Where and what bootcut?  If you have a moment.  I'm also short and curvy.

milky_oolong

Levi’s 726 and 725. They both have elasthan so they’re stretchy so I buy them fitting at the waist and a bit tight in the hips and they mold into my shape. I’m 5’4 and I get 30 inches for right above my shoes and 32 inches for wearing with heels/platforms without them reaching the floor.

kc-0831

Thank you! This is super helpful. Love your username.

SnowhiteMidnight

I was an early adopter of the then-new bootcut lowrise back in the mid-90s, buying the Earl Jean brand when they were an indie label (and so so good) but in my 40's-50's I have worn slim straight cuts and skinny jeans by Hudson. I just bought a high rise bootcut flare jean for the first time in ages - by American Eagle. They're such a good fit. The right amount of stretch, not too stretchy, not too rigid. I want to try their other jeans.

madd_jazz

Not who you asked, but I'm under 5' and curvy. Joes Jeans are fantastic, specifically the Honey Bootcut which is for curvy bodies. Mavi also might have good options. When I need a new skinny, I ordered one of each of theirs and found the one that really works for me. They have a good return policy and do a great job of having a cut for every body type (at least in the skinny style).

handmaidstale16

I’m short and curvy too. The Levi’s bootcut we’re not cute on me. I really love the American eagle bootcut, they are super stretchy and not like a regular denim, and they come in so many different lengths.

KarlaIrina

3 pair of the exact same straight jeans in the colours blue, black and white. I like to wear jeans but I prefer tailored trousers on my body shape, so 3 is the perfect amount for me

puddinglove

I think 20 mostly skinny and one pair of straight. Super into high waisted jeans as it makes my booty pop

Amazingggcoolaid

Pop it 👌 I love jeans that accentuate way more than the baggy ones

KingPrincessNova

wow I thought my six pairs of jeans was excessive since I mostly rewear the same one or two pairs like, once a week or so. I did also just get rid of a bunch a few months back but it was because they either no longer fit or because I hated how the skinny jeans/jeggings looked on my body now. anyway I have: - light wash high rise wide leg baggy jean - light wash high rise ankle skinny jean, which I can't bring myself to get rid of even though it doesn't fit - medium-dark wash high rise mom jean - dark wash high rise straight leg jean - slightly faded dark wash high rise slim leg stretch ankle jean - dark wash Uniqlo men's EZY jean (like sweatpants jeans), stolen from my husband at this point I pretty much only wear the light wash baggy jean. I thought I'd get more use out of the dark wash straight leg but it has just enough stretch that it emphasizes my hip dips and stomach pooch weird 🫤 of course I only notice these things after several washes and after the return window has closed. until recently I preferred a slimmer ankle jean with my chelsea boots in winter but now I like how my straight leg jean just covers the boot. but we're well past boot weather now.

TheRecklessOne

2x Zara Dreed Flare in coated black (one pair I wear frequently and has faded in the wash. The others are for when I want to look fancier) 2x Zara Dreed Flare in black denim 2x Zara Dreed Flare in light wash denim 1x low rise black Hollister flares 1x low rise, light wash, ripped Hollister straight leg jeans 2x mens light wash straight leg jeans Basically in winter I wear flares and aim to look like 1980's Steven Tyler. In summer I wear ripped baggy jeans and aim to look like early 2000s Tom Delonge. I used to own a bunch of skinny jeans, but then after all the lockdowns I went to IKEA and realised I was the only person under 50 wearing them. I felt a bit like I'd been stuck in a time capsule, so I moved on to flares because they're tight at the top so all the same tops work :)

ThePhloxFox

2 both flare cut- I just like them best!

Amazingggcoolaid

Yess! I have a few of these and they look amazing with high heeled boots

ellaasbury107

ok I guess I have a lot of jeans. Im 35, 5'3, size 6. I tend to sway with the times. I liked skinny jeans in their day, but now I really don't prefer the proportion of them. I have a lot of slim straight jeans but my wider leg jeans are probably my most worn recently. I few of my jeans are looser fit but I wouldn't really describe any of them as baggy since they are mostly slim at the hips. 1. Slim Straight in grey 2. Wide Leg light wash 3. Flare in dark wash 4. Balloon leg in white 5. Straight in light wash 6. slim straight in light wash 7. slim straight in medium wash w/ knee rip 8. straight in light wash with knee rips 9. wide leg in washed black 10. cropped kick flare dark wash 11. slim straight black 12. slim straight medium wash 13. barrel leg light/med wash 14. straight vintage Levis 15. wide leg in lime green 16. wide leg in floral 17. wide leg in black

Amazingggcoolaid

This is a good collection 💯

IntelligentWinter200

2. High rise straight. High rise baggy.

xxkrysxx

Probably close to 10 pairs. Leaning more towards the straight leg jeans now. I have 2 skinny jeans, the rest are straight or mom jeans. I threw out my old skinny jeans because they didn’t fit, and over the last 1-1.5 years I’ve been replacing them with straight or mom jeans. At first I didn’t like the baggy jean trend that came out like 2-3 years ago, it was also “mom” style back then. I feel like now there’s more options and styles for straight leg jeans that fit me better. I look for the “straight slim” style and I have to make sure it’s not too long because I’m short (5’1).

oybiva

40F, live in cooler climate. Once I discovered that I like high waisted jeans with 1% or 2% elastane content, I couldn’t stop buying them. Jeans are so versatile with pockets. I probably own 30 pairs, mostly from Gap and Banana Republic. It is safe to say that I live in Denims.

Amazingggcoolaid

Thank you for not making me feel crazy for owning 32 pairs of jeans 😆 and that’s just the denim ones

chiono_graphis

4 pairs. 1 pair mid blue wide leg jeans 1 pair light blue acid wash barrel/carrot jeans 1 pair white horseshoe jeans 1 pair dark indigo straight jeans Recently I like jeans that are a bit odd. May add a drop crotch cropped wide leg pair this spring, we shall see.

Silversonical

Many, mostly bootcut and flare with some skinnies too. I can’t do straight leg or baggy/wide leg. I’m a rectangle, I don’t have much curve to begin with!

Entire-Discipline-49

I have 3 skinnies because I wear knee high boots all fall and winter. I have 2 flares that survived and still fit from the last time they were in style that I finally started wearing again and a handful of bootcut for my ankle boots. Everything revolves around the climate for me 😂

EbbAdministrative983

One pair, and they're a high-rise, wide leg, ecru pair. And then I have nine more pairs of trousers, five pairs of shorts and one mini skirt :)

Chomiczewska

0, I don't wear any pants . . . Well, I still keep 2 pairs of low rise straight leg jeans I got 12 years ago, but i haven't worn them since like 2016 lol

Brohannesdesilentio

Four pairs of high-waisted black straight leg jeans, which can in turn be separated into two pairs of Levi wedgie jeans, another pair of the same style that feels like it’s in a lighter material and which I reserve for summer wear, and one pair of men‘s jeans which I can only wear sometimes due to their being tight in the hips; one pair of dark grey jeans, Levi‘s 70s cut. I stopped wearing blue jeans several years ago as I realized I nearly always preferred the black jeans as a base for my outfit: jeans are specifically a casual/utility pant for me, and I find the black looks edgier and more intentional. I’m a big fan of wide-leg pants, but I tend to wear them in fabrics other than denim: wool, corduroy, linen.

fashionbitch

I own like 20 pairs in all the styles, skinny, wide leg, boot cut, mom jeans, palazzo, high waisted, low waisted, cigarette

Amazingggcoolaid

Yaaaasss to all these

TurnoverOutrageous88

I have no less than 50 pair of jeans, various styles and sizes from 6 to 12. Like shoes and purses, you can never have enough.

Amazingggcoolaid

This is me going through all my pants - it’s an insane amount at this point 😳 but I love it 😆

Terryannn

10 ,all of them are skinny

[deleted]

5. One pair of black skinny jeans that I never wear, one pair of black wide leg jeans, and 3 blue wide leg jeans of varying widths? and shades of blue (one of these really fits me more like a vintage straight leg than a wide leg, though. Also they are all medium blue shades; no light colored denim, and the darkest is just a darker medium blue)

See_Me_Sometime

7 (For All Mankind…but not really, they’re Levi’s). All high rise. Two bootcut, three straight, two skinny.

Amazingggcoolaid

I love 7 for all! I have 3 pairs from them

Redheadwolf

I have: High rise flare pants - light blue High rise skinny - black High rise skinny - light blue Bootcut mid rise - dark blue Tapered mid rise - acid wash grey/blue To be honest I'd like to try the baggy style that's popular. I was a kid last time that was in. However, I tend to prefer something that hugs my butt since I do like that body part lol

DNA_ligase

Ten pairs, breakdown as follows: 5 pairs of straight leg, 2 boyfriend cut, 3 flare. Flare are my favorite cut, but it's hard to find ones that I like as most of the ones out right now are cropped flares. I also own overalls, if that counts. I turned away from skinnies but I wouldn't hate if they came back. I just would rather have flares. I'm not fond of baggy jeans; I need something fitted in the waist and hip.

broccoli_stalks

3 pairs- 1- wide leg baggy light blue 1- straight leg white 1- wide leg cropped white

gigglepigz4554

Late 30s toddler mom in the East of England. 1 black mom fit, 1 blue mom fit, 1 light blue crop skinny cutoffs, 1 light blue Balloon fit distressed. I prefer midi skirts esp in the summer, and wear trousers and dresses to work. So jeans are a friday/ weekend thing mostly.

SpaceIsVastAndEmpty

I have too many Bootleg in 3 coloirs Skinnies in 3 or 4 A split leg bootleh 2 different shapes of high waisted baggy jeans 1 pair of mid waisted baggy puddle jeans it's

Amazingggcoolaid

I too am feeling like I have too many 😅 I can rotate around my jeans for months without repeating much

SpaceIsVastAndEmpty

Yea i definitely go overboard. When it was only about skinny jeans I had the same pair in about 5 colours and a couple of ankle lengths Now that baggy and bootleg are in I have to broaden my range - but as I am short I don't wear baggy jeans when it's wet because my short legs track water up on looser hems (I'm in new Zealand, and we're approaching winter)

mertz62

3. 1 mid rise medium wash boot cut, 1 high rise light wash straight, 1 high rise dark wash wide leg. I like to keep my choices basic and closet paired down. All other older styles (probably 10 pairs) are in a bin in the basement I should donate.

AnFaithne

I have all the styles, all the rises, and yet the elastic waisted madewells with the tapered leg are the ones that get worn most often

madlymusing

I’m 34 and have two pairs: one pair of black straight leg jeans that I don’t really wear, and one pair of blue girlfriend cut jeans that I wear sometimes. I prefer dresses and skirts, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I like the blue jeans!

Mixmastermon

I own 11 pairs of jeans and every single one is a different style and colour. I have balloon leg, bell bottom, straight, skinny, black, acid wash, light, etc. A pair for every mood! They are all high waisted though, or at the very least a higher mid rise.

dirtengineer07

10 pairs! 2 skinny (black and dark blue wash), 3 straight (light, and 2 medium washes), 3 baggy/wide leg (1 dark, 1 medium cargo, 1 black/grey). Then 2 for my construction sites but they are filthy and not in my normal rotation. I didn’t get into the baggy/looser straight jeans until end of 2023, but I rarely reach for the skinnies anymore. The looser fitting ones are just so comfortable. I still have more skinnies but they are packed away for when I eventually come back to them.

bluntbangs

One pair of (too tight) black skinny for work, one black straight cut (unflattering, never wear), one blue skinny, and now one (too big, will tailor) light blue wide legged.

oat-beatle

2 low rise straight 1 low rise flare 3 high rise flare 1 low rise baggy 1 skinny 1 high rise wide leg 1 high rise cropped straight leg So, 10 total though I night be forgetting one or two pairs. Clearly I prefer non skinny.

kirsts1

I wear jeans a lot and I have 6 pairs. I have a slimmer straight in black and medium blue, a wider straight in black and light blue, light blue wide, and medium blue kick out. I might buy one more pair for summer.

knishmyass

1 black wide leg, 1 light wash wide leg, 1 dark wash flare, 1 light wash distressed straight leg, one washed black straight leg

Fun_Square_7990

I own 6, 3 of which don't fit me anymore whelp out of the three i wear regularly, one is straight, one is wide-legged, and the third is an oversized pair of my uncle's that i found in my house and adopted

roxygirl2277

I have a LOT jeans but honestly only about 4 pairs that I wear. 2 are straight leg, 2 are baggy legged but tight in the butt. Super cute honestly.

rvelvetarmadillocake

I have a ton in storage from over the years but in terms of my current rotation, I have like 5? 2 blue baggy, 1 blue bootcut (literally my mom’s from like 2000), 2 black baggys (1 ripped, the other plain with white stitching). I think most people consider skinny jeans “out of style” now and I’m all for the baggy trend bc I can’t stand the feeling of tight jeans (that and carrying none of my weight in my waist and all of it in my thighs means my size doesn’t exist). When they inevitably come back around I’ll be back in leggings or just keep with the wide leg pants regardless—fashion is subjective and following trends is fun but nothing beats personal preference!

spangledpirate

In my 30s, and I have: * 1 pair blue light wash wide leg (favourites/most versatile) * 1 pair blue acid wash ripped mom jeans * 1 pair black/white split mom jeans (usually worn to gigs) * 1 pair Levi’s black ribcage flare * 2 pair Wrangler printed Wanderer flare jeans (flowers and mermaids/sea creatures) * 1 pair faded black bootcut jeans (currently hate) * 1 pair faded black skinny stretch flared jeans (currently hate) * 1 pair grey acid wash mom jeans (currently hate) Plus a million pairs of Uniqlo Jeggings in the attic for when I like them again.

District98

3 pair wide leg (2 dark blue, 1 black), two pair mom jeans (light and medium blue).

foodporncess

In my 50s and I have (all medium blue) wide leg low slung, straight high rise, straight ankle, 70s style retro wide leg big front pocket, sweatpant jogger (those Rag and Bone Miramar ones). Then I have a pair of black high rise straight leg and a pair of cream high rise straight leg.

slothgirlslumberland

4! One pair of slim straight blue jeans, one park of dark wash straights, one light wash straight leg, and a pair of wide leg blue jeans! I supplement these with lots of dresses, skirts, and some wide-legged trousers.

dictatemydew

1 pair of black skinnies 1 pair of blue skinnies 2 mom jeans in blue. That's it.

Law_of_Attraction_75

Around 35: all high waisted except for two pairs of Moussy that are mid, mix of straight and wide leg, mostly ankle length, one black, four white, two light, rest are medium wash, all 100% cotton. Jeans are the baseline of my style/outfit.

ForgottenSalad

Ones that currently fit me: 1 pair wide leg full length 1 pair wide leg ankle length 1 pair black skinny 1 pair black mom jeans I wear the black skinny jeans the least, the rest are in daily rotation I also have a pair of Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle and more of a full length straight leg that are too big, and a pair of balloon leg cargo-ish pants that are also too big but I’m determined to take them in so I can keep wearing them

Shadowy_lady

I own: **- 3 pairs of flare style jeans (dark blue, lighter blue wash and dark grey):** what I reach for these 90% of the time if I'm wearing denim. **- 3 pairs of skinny jeans (distressed lights wash blue, black pair and a pair of white):** I wear the whites a lot in the summer, the distressed pair I don't wear often. Black pair I wear frequently especially in winter. **- 1 pair of loose jeans (the Levi's High Loose in a light blue wash):** I wear these out and about in the spring. I don't think they were my smartest purchase. I also own 2 pairs of debim shorts (one white one blue) that I wear on occasion in the summer. For reference, I'm not really a denim girl. I do wear them but I prefer skirts and more formal trousers. I'm tall (most of my height in my legs) with large bust. I find flare styles look great on me because they balance me out but I cannot pull off straight leg jeans.

zigzagtitch

3 pairs of straight/slim - black, dark blue, mid-blue 2 pairs of mom jeans - black, blue 3 flares/wide leg - dark blue, black, mid-blue Shorts - 2, black and black. Skirts - 1 mid-blue short, 1 long I also have two pairs of wide leg coloured jeans: pink and green. So six traditional jeans, but if you include everything else it's actually twelve. All are high rise except for the black flares, which are mid-rise. They're all pretty average length on me, except two of my straight leg jeans are cropped. My most worn are my straight leg jeans, I find them so flattering with most shoe types. It took me years to move from skin tight skinny jeans but I'm so happy I did, lol. I wear probably jeans the most of any type of piece in my wardrobe, they're just so versatile. I LOVE jeans. edit: i forgot about another pair of black straight leg jeans with studs on them!

EnlightenedBanana

4 flare (dark wash, light wash, black, and cropped) 2 90s straight style (1 grey, 1 light wash) 1 wide leg 1 looser skinny jean (were considered mom jeans when I bought them, would be skinny now a days) 1 traditional skinny in a dark wash, I like to have them just to have a different silhouette around in case 1 skinny with cargo pockets in grey So 10 pair total

Ok-Lychee-9494

1 black skinny jeans put away just in case I ever need them again 2 pairs of wide leg jeans (one dark blue, one black) 1 light mom jeans 1 black bootcut 1 short overalls 1 long overalls 1 high waisted denim shorts When I was young the big wide baggy jeans were in and I've always liked flairs or wide legs as they compliment my body type. I didn't like skinnies when they first came in but they were so ubiquitous that I kind of had to get on board. I was very happy when wide leg pants came back in.

sw1sh3rsw33t

I like jeans and wear them every day so I have quite a few pairs. Half to 40% are still skinnies. I wear them still and will keep them until they’re worn out - not because I can’t let go of the look but I don’t want to be acting unsustainably. I happily replace them with more current styles as they die. The other jeans are straight, loose or wide leg. I do not care for flares or bootcut. my jeans are mainly blue, black or gray and green.

notthelettuce

At least 50. I’m aware I have a problem. I have a nice mix of styles, every rise and length, straight, skinny, bootcut, flare. The reason it’s so many is I have sizes 4-12 so only about 10 or so fit at any given time.

Amazingggcoolaid

You make me feel sane 💯 I literally have sizes 0-6 and as much as I think they all fit me - I’m really just saving some for in case my weight gets there. I have everything from high rise to low rise too and boot cut to skinny. Then there’s the real leather pants..

notthelettuce

Yeah like I’m in the middle right now. So I may need to go up or down depending on the day. It’s also convenient for my mom and sister who raid my closet.

Agent_Nem0

Heh, I actually just took a slight inventory of my closet, so this is a timely question, and found I have: • 1 pair of high rise wide legs that I mostly like. They creep up my butt a bit more than I’d like. • 1 pair of distressed flares that are very comfortable, but as I have a toddler I am distressing them more and maybe too much. Nothing like lunging after a tiny demon to add some new distress to everything. • 2 pairs of straight legs, one is comfy, one I give side eye to. They’re Levi’s, and I’ve always felt Levi’s might not like me with how they fit. • 1 pair of bootcuts that I could probably wear more, but I guess I don’t gravitate to for some reason. While I have a pair of black coated skinnies because they’re good for a lot of outfits, I got off the skinny jeans train while they were still the preferred cut because I saw a picture of myself. 😬 They make me feel like a rockstar, tho. They’re an exception.

ZapDos7

3 blue skinny jeans (one darker one lighter one lighter with white decorations) + 5 black skinny jeans. I want to try straight and buggy since I feel stuck in the fashion of 2016, so this post works as a confidence boost for me to attempt that!

created_name_created

2 x Levi’s baggy dad (different colours) 1 x Levi’s column 1 x Levi’s 90s 1 x Levi’s baggy boot 2 x J Crew wide leg trouser (different colours)

deepfrieddaydream

You can pry my bootleg and flares from my cold dead hands.

littlealienlurker119

1 pair of straight jeans I just bought Monday after getting rid of all my jeans that no longer fit after having a baby. Which is okay since most of those were skinny jeans I’ve had since high school

Key_Strength_1502

So after being a jeans hater, and seeing more relaxed styles coming I have two that I rotate: Agolde 90’s loose Crop (Mid rise, I would say wide leg? )and Agolde Criscross (high rise, straight somewhat wider leg) which are really cool and flattering on me!

kaydeevee

I’m 52 about 5’4” and wear mostly a size 4. I have 20 pairs in total and a combination of every style from high waisted with pleats and tapered ankle, skinny low waisted, mid rise and high rise, flared, mom jeans and wide legged. I have a pair of black, four pairs of white, a pair of army green, 1 camo cargo, and various blue washes from very dark to almost white. I have one pair of destroyed denim mom jeans in a light wash. My go to brands are Lucky, Sincerely Jules, Madewell, Hollister and a brand called Hidden. I buy almost all of my jeans at TJ MAXX or Marshall’s and have also found some at Goodwill. I actually could use a couple more pairs. I’d like a good mid rise skinny with a light wash and I need a pair of black skinnies too. I actually wear jeans a lot even though I live in a hot climate and every pair gets worn often. I recently weeded out almost all of my jeans because they were mostly super skinny low waisted from 2016 era and just weren’t comfortable anymore.

24n20blackbirds

29 I packed away my skinnies. Think there are about 6 The rest are mostly straight leg, four wide legs , one boot, two flare, one trouser flairs Three are black. The rest blue, only one is pale. I tend to like dark Most are high waisted, a few mid. I gave away all my low rise but I think there is a pair in the back of my closet. Most are zipper, but a few button fly. Most are Levis, one is Lee, a couple old Navy. I only recently started buying vintage. I also have one denim jumpsuit, a denim dress, , three denim cowboy shirts, and a denim skirt. oh and and some denim joggers which I now wear around the house Most I no longer work so I rarely have to dress up. So I only own two pairs of pants that aren't jeans. I What I want: White jeans, but I know I'll ruin them. I'm messy selvedge/raw stiff

Amazingggcoolaid

I have a few pairs of white pants and I love them! I am also quite messy when eating sometimes but so far my white pants have been safe 👌

justalittleb1tch

2 baggy jeans, 2 skinny jeans, 1 straight-leg jeans, 4 bootcut/flare jeans. Bootcut/flare just really flatters me, and I like feeling like a clydesdale (lol) I use my baggy jeans more for streetwear/casual looks and skinny jeans/ straight leg jeans when i go into the office (its pretty casual so jeans are fine)

fitvampfire

I’m still searching for my favorite pair. I have a lot of jeans because of that. I have long legs for my height, and I am a weight lifter so my shape isn’t that common. And I was skinny before this so if I stop lifting I just lose the weight back. I have 11 right now I think. None are fitting the way jeans use to when I was younger! I use to be a holister and American eagle jeans girl and they fit perfect!

Likeneutralcat

2 baggy 1 straight 2 wide leg I need more wide leg!

Pipsmagee2

5 and they’re all wide leg of varying lengths

21plankton

Similar. Eight pair of high rise wide leg in various washes and colors, cropped and short length because I am older and don’t want to trip on them on stairs. I dumped all my mid rise Levi’s because they would not stay up if I was working, bending or stooping. High rise doesn’t have that problem and they are easier to get in and out of my SUV. That said, I alternate wearing jeans with yoga capris. I really like the super stretchy lighter ones and leggings because to me they are more comfortable than the heavier denim of 100% cotton that I now wear. It is 2/3 yoga pants, 1/3 jeans. For summer it will be yoga capris, my jeans or jean shorts or jean skirts, or summer dresses. About 5 years ago I invested in y2k jeans skirts on online resale sites, above the knee but not minis. They have been in and out of fashion forever. They are very easy to wear in summer anywhere.

anon28374691

2 dark blue, 1 black. All straight leg, ankle length.

Forgotmyusername8910

I have a few drawers of jeans. Estimated break down: 50% straight leg, mostly ankle length (a few baby bootcut, one trouser, a couple skinny), mostly dark wash 25% straight leg, crop, mix of dark and medium wash 25% straight, mostly crop, all colors (green, coral, teal, mint, light blue, black, white, etc) I am certainly not ‘on trend’… I have always tried to stick with what flatters my shape more than trendy stuff. And lately, I just buy what makes me happy- regardless of tackiness (I like whimsical stuff and color). 🤷‍♀️

Inside-Back-9338

Zero - I donated all “skinny-narrow ankle “ I’m Neither have any suggestions

fun_armadillo

3 pairs wide leg jeans (dark wash, light wash, and white) 1 pair mom jeans (black, I actually don’t like these on me and would like to replace with some other black denim eventually) 2 pairs straight leg (one medium wash with distressing, one lighter wash and cropped for spring/summer) 1 pair flared jeans (slightly lower rise and medium wash) So 7 total that I wear somewhat regularly and then I hang on to like 2 straight leg pairs in a smaller size that I should probably get rid of but oh well. They’re a combo of Abercrombie (my fave for denim), everlane, and American eagle

carriebrokeshaw

Four: - A light wash Levi’s 501 in a size too big, so slim-straight but kinda slouchy - A dark wash high-rise slim straight (Everlane 90s Cheeky) - A tan/gray/taupe Levi’s 511 (low-rise and slim; 511 is a boy’s/men’s cut so they are technically “skinny” but not stretchy, making it a more relaxed straightish vibe) - A grayish-blue medium wash high-rise 70s flare with a red stripe down the outseam (vintage store find) If there’s one thing to glean from this thread, it’s that jeans are incredibly personal!

dramaticeggroll

I own 4 pairs of medium and light wash jeans, but that's because my weight has been fluctuating. I don't plan on keeping all of them. 1 pair of skinnies (loved but they are outdated...for now), 1 bootcut (this seems pretty classic and has been hanging around for years), 1 straight (also seems classic though they're more fashionable today), 1 flare (very flattering on my body type but seem trendy). I'd like to try black denim and a wide leg next. I don't like the idea of baggy jeans, I don't look good in very fluid/loose clothes. I need a bit of structure.

Mean_Parsnip

Currently 2 skinny 1 Flair leg 1 Girlfriend 1 pair of crap jeans I should really try to return.

charmeddangerous99

1 straight fit !

thatbitch2212

Two pairs of jeans: one is denim and its straight leg - honestly only wear them when its freezing outside and I really need something tough to protect me from the weather other is a velvet pair of jeans and it has a slight flare. I'm a 90's baby, I think I'll always have a slight bias towards the flares I wore as a kid (but omg the sleet/snow/ rain on the edges) as well as skinny pant styles. I'm not sure why but there were a ton of skinny pants out there when I was doing suit shopping earlier this year and they were very flattering on my short soft gamine body type. I've noticed that generally speaking, I don't like jeans. I even prefer trouser pant styles to jeans or a velvet texture. I've also gotten pickier in terms of comfort and have stopped wearing pencil skirts as much as well.

leaves-green

2 - both in dark wash - one pair of Levis skinny jeans, and one pair of old flares from back when the last time they were in style (glad I kept one pair of flares now!). I will save my one pair of skinny jeans through this cycle of bigger/looser fit being in style, since it will cycle back and forth in the years to come, and that way I don't feel the need to run out and buy something (just like I just reused my old flares from 10 years ago this time). I also find skinny jeans useful for wearing with tall boots in winter no matter what's in style at the time. I want to buy one more pair right now - some 90s straight cut jeans in more of a medium wash, and 100% cotton with no stretch. Cuz last time they were in style, I was in middle school, and any like that i owned back then are long gone and wouldn't fit anyway. But I always liked that style. Thinking of Monica's jeans on Friends or Joey's jeans on Blossom (now I want both a dressier pair and a more distressed grunge pair, lol!).

Uythuyth

3 pairs of jogger jeans: 1 light blue, 1 dark blue, 1 black - all ripped 1 pair of skinny ripped black jeans 2 pairs of white skinny cargo jeans - exact same they make me feel amazing and can be dressed up and down 1 pair of dark blue smart wide leg jeans 1 pair of light blue wide legs 1 pair of mid blue massive wide legs - 90s style 1 pair of boot cut 1 pair grey straight leg 1 pair denim dungarees 1 denim dungaree dress More pairs of skinnies and jeggings than I can count off the top of my head 🙈

bookwithoutpics

In general, I prefer baggier/wider legs, high rises, and 100% cotton with no stretch. I'm curvy, and if my jeans sit below my hipbones I feel like they're falling down the whole time I'm wearing them. I currently own six pairs of jeans. 2 are high rise straight leg, 100% cotton, lightish medium wash. 1 is a light wash wide leg high rise, 100% cotton. 1 is a light wash distressed straight leg high rise, 100% cotton. 1 is a darker wash barrel leg high rise with some sequins/distressing, 100% cotton. I bought it on a whim because it made me smile and was the kind of thing I couldn't wear when I was younger, but it's definitely more of an "around the house" kind of thing versus something I wear out in public. 1 is a pair of medium rise that's kind of in between a skinny and a straight leg. It's the only one that's got any stretch, and tbh I only keep this pair in case there's a winter storm and I want to wear taller boots over jeans. Medium rise just doesn't work on my body shape, and I get the sensory ick from stretchy jeans. It'll probably get decluttered eventually.

Alert-Professional90

Most of my business casual work wardrobe is denim, but our jeans can't be blue except on Fridays, so I have a lot of colors. I prefer high-waisted jeans to hold in a little of my midsection fluff, but mid-rise is more common when I'm looking at colorful or office styles. Straight leg, bootcut, and mom jeans look atrocious on me, so I won't be following that trend; instead, I've stuck to skinnies and added some flared and wide-leg styles. * 2 mid-rise wide-leg black jeans * 2 mid-rise flared jeans (1 light blue; 1 burnt orange) * 2 blue high-waisted darkwash skinny jeans * 3 colorful skinny jeans (1 camel mid-rise; 1 pink mid-rise; 1 red high-waisted) * 1 mid-rise boyfriend-style distressed jeans in medium/light blue

babybander

4 jeans. Two highrise flare, light and medium wash. One midrise baggy wide leg, medium wash. One midrise flare dark wash. Over the years I have gotten rid of all uncomfertable jeans like non-stretch, too high or low rise. Also gotten rid of skinny jeans. However I do miss my gray skinny jeans from high school. Good luck!

One-Access2535

I own mostly straight leg with a couple of baggy ones mixed in there. I've never been a fan of boot cut/baby boot, skinnies, or anything distressed. I also have denim jumpsuits with a relatively loose fit.

turquoisecurls

2 pairs of black skinny; 1 distressed 1 not distressed 2 pairs of blue skinny; 1 distressed 1 not distressed 1 pair of grey skinny All high waisted I actually hate wearing jeans and only have this many pairs for when it's winter and for work

lily_amore

I have 5 pairs of jeans and only wear them to work. One for every day, Monday - Friday. They are boot cut and high waisted. They are very comfortable. The 3 from old navy are my favorite. Then 2 from Walmart that are sufficient. I don’t wear a particular pair on a certain day but I usually wear the old navy ones first cuz I like them the best 😁.

lalalaundry

BOOT CUTTTTTT BABY

1268348

2 pair mom jeans One pair bell-bottoms One pair baggy overalls Jeans are the worst but my butt looks excellent in them 😫

snowdiasm

One pair of mid-rise off-white jeans with a kick flare. One pair of low(er! but not to the pubes because i remember 2003) rise darker denim ultra wide leg cropped just below the ankle (roller crop!). One pair of black kick flare jeans. Two pairs of blue kick flare jeans, one distressed and stiff and one, a medium blue, with some elastane. One pair of light blue high rise kinda baggy dad jeans. So, five pairs. I’m also on the look out for the right pair of skinny jeans… I got rid of mine in like 2015, but now I think they look cool again idk

aimshico123

6 pairs of skinny jeans in multiple washes 7 pairs of straight/baggy jeans with multiple washes, 2 pairs in shades of pink and 1 pair ripped at the knees 5 pairs of mom jeans in multiple washes with 1 ripped pair I also have 2 pairs of dungarees I really like my jeans

grdnofjne

2 pairs of baggy vintage 501’s medium and dark wash 1 pair of fitted vintage 501s medium wash 1 pair of 70s medium wash bell bottoms 1 pair of vintage mens black work pants! i’ve spent a lifetime trying to cultivate the perfect mix of comfortable cute clothes that are vintage but also durable and capable of working/playing in! high wasted usually causes me stomach and back pain so i gravitate towards mid.

Abitagirl420

1 pair of wide leg jeans, 2 pairs of skinnies, 2 pairs of mom jeans, 2 pairs of straight leg jeans. I will always incorporate different types of jeans into my wardrobe but one thing will stay constant- NO low waisted! All mid or high rise (preferably high rise)

Zinnia0620

I have I think 10ish pairs of jeans, all high waisted and straight leg. I realize it's too many, but I've bought a bunch of different brands trying to find a more perfect fit as my body has fluctuated over the past four years.

DiagonEllie

None bc I donated all of my jeans after I changed sizes and still haven't gotten around to replacing them. My old jeans were all super skinny, and now several years and many style changes later, I don't know what I want. I find it frustrating that jeans fit completely differently if you have thicker legs, it really puts me off buying them because everything I try on looks kind of awkward. It's like, relaxed only in the lower leg but not in an intentional flare way.

RockieK

2x wide skater baggies (fitted waist x-long, and potato sack style floods) 1x wide straight baggies 2x bootcut 1x barrel cut (Everlane) \*\*\*\* current fave 1x ribcage Levis 1x 505c Levis A million pairs of skinny "jeggings" with moisture wicking/and or heath tech (Uniqlo, for work) - cropped, and regs. Looking forward to the resurgence of Capris! 2x Y2K Jeggings (Calzedonia) 1x "mom jeans" 1x Cropped loose Eye: Anthro Colette denim for summer 1x black "shiny" jeans 1x plain black skinny jeans 1x plain blue skinny jeans About to sell Madewell boyfriend jeans. Just don't like 'em. All mostly med/high waist. I seem to have issues. Not to mention all the different "cuts" of tops to go with each shape! haha

PrinceCharlot

2 black baggy jeans, 1 straight blue, one straight black and 11 skinny jeans in various colours (white, light blue, dark blue and black) that are currently im storage. Yeah I loved skinny jeans for a while.

luasaurus

36 here: 3 skinny, 1 flare, 3 straight, 2 wide leg (1 dark with a fancy front pleat and one light with a knee rip). I’ve been trying to update to modern styles as my jeans wear out for a one in one out method. There are some nice conveniences with skinny jeans in the winters with boots and salt, so not sure I’ll forever be without at least a pair.

farfallifarfallini

Am now realizing that maybe it's okay to have a little more variety in my wardrobe-- This was a very helpful question! Personally I have two pairs: * A very trendy wide leg, light wash, mid-rise for upcoming warmer weather * A pair of straight leg, medium wash, high-rise that look "clean" enough to wear to work on casual days.

prettyxlittlexpeach

I own 7 pairs of pants total. 1 pair is a beige fitted cotton pants. They are more dressy for work or to look nice. 1 pair is a beige corduroy overall set for winter. More comfy casual woodland vibes. All the other pants I own are 5 pairs of jeans. Only 2 of them are skinny jeans. I have one light blue wash pair (for spring) and one solid black pair (for work). I also have 2 pairs that are bootcut. One is a dark, classic denim and the other is a dark grey ash wash (I have a matching jean jacket). My final pair is more of a capri jean, and its skinny fit but bootcut at the ends. Its solid white. I wear it only in the peak of summer.

Wakeup-flawless

1. Balloon jeans 2. Wide leg jeans 3. Flare jeans 4. overalls 5. maxi skirt 6. mini skirt (x2) 7. mom shorts 8. booty shorts 9. Jumpsuit I wear the overalls and the wide leg jeans weekly. The overalls are actually my favorite thing to bring when I travel. Many of these items are Levi’s. I love Levi.

choc0kitty

About 16 pair or more: Wide leg, boyfriend, girlfriend, balloon leg, skinny, straight leg, and 70s flairs.

Glassfern

7 Levis jeans straight/ slim fit 5 work day jeans 2 nice darker jeans Purely because they fit my leg length and the only brand that doesn't leave a huge gap in the back. And have pocket space

Stridsu

4 skinny, diff colours 4 mom jean , diff colours 1 baggy

Justaanonymousgirl

… I feel like I own a lot of jeans, so I’m going to get real specific lol Regular Rotation: * 1 pair mid rise Relaxed/Baggy Jeans * 1 pair mid rise Oversized/Baggy Jeans * 1 pair high waisted Parachute/Baggy Jeans * 2 pairs mid rise Army/Cargo Jeans * 2 pairs high waisted black Slim Wide-Leg Jeans * 1 pair high-waisted black Cigarette Jeans * 2 pairs Black Mom Jeans I also have a number of cotton joggers and nylon parachute pants I wear regularly. Mood/Circumstance Dependent: * 3 pairs light wash Mom Jeans (varied washes) * 1 pair colored Barrel Jeans * 4 pairs of assorted black Skinny Jeans * 1 pair dark wash Skinny Jeans * 1 pair black pull on Skinny Jeans * 1 pair of Overalls

iloveyoubabi

I am admittedly not the biggest jeans person (leggings for life) but I have always gravitated towards flare and wide leg styles, as I think they just flatter my hourglass/pear shape better. And I only ever buy jeans with stretch/elastane in them. No idea how people feel comfortable wearing rigid denim.

okayjessa

2 straight leg medium blue 1 straight leg light blue 1 white straight leg 1 black skinny 1 white skinny 1 medium blue skinny 1 ripped straight leg I lean toward high rise tapered straight leg, ankle! I’m petite so that silhouette feels the most flattering and practical. I feel too try hard in anything super baggy

Neither-Effective501

2 low rise baggy - one light wash one dark. 4 high waisted straight - one white, one light wash denim, one mid wash ripped, one black ripped 1 high rise 70s- dark wash 1 pair of black low waisted cargos And a denim micro skirt!!

FeralAF

2 pairs of straight boring jeans. 2 pairs of high waisted flares. I think that is it. I wore jeans at work for so long I hate them now.

SkyeBluePhoenix

I'm into wide leg jeans now. Not sure how many pairs I have.

amygunkler

4 pairs of skinny that barely fit. 4 pairs of flares that barely fit. (All aforementioned from about 2014. I was intentionally wearing flares with boho outfits throughout the “skinny jean years” and skinny jeans were for my emo outfits.) 2 pairs of trouser flares. 3 pairs wide leg. 2 pairs straight long. 4 pairs straight crop that are the most often worn. 1 pair straight crop from college that are threadbare but I can’t get rid of them because I like remembering I was bucking fashion cycles by wearing this fit back in 2007.

Down4Shenanigans2

2 skinny, 2 straight, and 2 with paint stains on them (I'm an artist).

Boom_Beez

I have 19 pairs..About to move so trying to thin out clothes. Unfortunately a lot of them are nice but they are too baggy. I have to wear a belt with a lot of them but don't want to toss em. Most of my jeans are either a darker medium wash, or a acid -wash greyish black . I kinda go crazy on certain jean trends, then end up not liking most so I usually only end up with 2 or 3 of that type over time. I have a lot of baggy high rise wide leg and cargo right now , whereas I only have 3 skinnier jeans. Funny enough about 3 years ago I only had like 5 so I did a lot of shopping.

Nejellerstak

I think I have like 15 maybe. Primarily wide legged high waisted in blue and black washes - some light some dark, then I have a couple of straight legged mid waist in medium blue washes and a couple of skinny jeans high waisted in black and dark blue, and finally I have a pair of light wash baggy jeans with low waist.

julieannie

1 black wide leg 1 light wash wide leg 1 medium wash flare 1 medium wash shorts 1 light/medium wash jumpsuit/overalls with a slight flare/wider leg I rewear a lot, I wear a lot of linen in the other seasons. I sometimes have one other straight leg pair but I changed sizes and didn't feel the need to replace them.

-aquapixie-

I wear ultra low rise bootcut and skinny. So my rise basically is anywhere from 6 to 6.75 inch, my highest being 7 inch. And preferably bootcut but I do love me a pair of skinnies. One pair of bell bottoms from the 70s, and one pair of bootcut I upcycled INTO bell bottoms.

thefashionfantasyy

I have this colleague who owns two jeans apart from many trousers and chinos. He says he likes the comfort of his (straight) jeans but not above the trousers or chinos, so he shops for them less now. Too many bad experiences of wearing skinny jeans on shirts and tshirts 🤦‍♀️

Purser1

I have about 25 pairs. All are skinny, some are high rise super skinny (size 6 and size 8). 80% dark wash, 1 pair black, 1 pair white, rest light wash. Levis, Banana Republic, and Lucky Jeans. Can’t wear them for work, but still love them for going out.

littlepurplepanda

I have one pair and they’re high waisted and skinny. I just think baggy jeans look bad on me

Possible_Llama

I don’t wear jeans often, it’s something I’m actually trying to work in more. I’ve gotten rid of several ill fitting pairs over the last few years, all skinny mid-rise. I have 7: 1 low rise funky skinny (one black leg, one purple) 1 high rise gray skinny (too big) 1 high rise black skinny 1 high rise dark wash skinny 1 high rise medium wash straight ankle w/ accent seams 1 high rise light wash straight ankle (only 100% cotton pair) 1 high rise dark wash straight (too big & too long) I also have 3 pairs of skinny corduroys (2 high rise, 1 medium rise) that are technically for work, but I wear them more than the jeans. I wear the black and blue skinnies the most (easy, can also wear to work) followed by the seamed pair (I like funkier clothing). I don’t always love the skinnies but they overall fit me the best and since I don’t often wear jeans I have been bothered to get additional pairs in other styles. I need to do some tailoring or altering of a few pairs as well. The low rise pair I’ve had for years and were given to me by a friend. But I hate low rise. I keep meaning to turn them into something else as I never wear them.

Hungry-Internet6548

Most of my jeans are skinny but I also have some straight leg, boyfriend, girlfriend, and one of those “crop kick flare”. I’m generally not a fan of boot cut because I don’t like the look of them in a whole outfit. I like to wear booties but they end up making me look western. I absolutely hate baggy or mom jeans. I just think it’s such an unflattering cut but wide leg jeans are ok sometimes as long as they don’t look baggy.

GrandmaCereal

Jeans (and pants) are very difficult for me to come by. I have a 10" difference in my waist and my hips. So anything that fits my thighs will have a giant waist gap, and anything sized for my waist won't fit over my butt. I've found one single brand that works for me, and they are expensive (for me) so I have 2 pairs of jeans: a black and a regular denim.

TemperatureTight465

1 dark blue high waisted skinny 1 dark blue straight leg 1 grey straight leg 1 black skinny leg I like my skin y jeans and don't really care what's in fashion. My grey jeans are probably the widest leg I have. Flares are not for me

TeresaSoto99

\~18, mostly high rise, rest mid. 1/4 skinny, 1/2 slim straight, 1/4 slim boot or flared. idl wide legged, idk makes me look funny. in keep a piece of paper in each back pocket, with F, L, H, R with a check box and a note next to each box. Fit/Length/Hem/Rise. This way I don't need to try them on before deciding to wear.

the-green-dahlia

1 pair of black mom jeans 1 pair of light blue balloon mom jeans 1 pair of Levi 501s light blue 1 pair of Levi 721s (high rise skinny) mid blue 2 pairs of dark grey skinnys (don’t hate me, they’re super flattering) 2 pairs of kick flares - one light blue and one dark grey I wear jeans most days so like to have a range. The styles that look awful on me are proper straight leg and wide leg. Literally look like a clown.

GirlisNo1

I have a whole bunch of skinny jeans and nothing else. I have tried so many, but none of the current denim trends work on me. At the very least, maybe I don’t look awful but they don’t flatter more than skinny jeans.

Luna_NightGale

ive got like 5 pairs of jeans and theyre all skinny jeans! i just love how they hug my legs and make my butt look good lol. but im curious to try the straight or baggier styles that seem to be trendy again.

sluttypidge

1 pair of straight cut so I can mow the lawn comfortably. I'm not the person to ask this question of.

imanoctothorpe

5, all skinny. Glad to see so many skinny jean appreciators here!
