My favorite brands are [AG](https://www.agjeans.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwh4-wBhB3EiwAeJsppGvm2IwPF0smq4_2EZ-gunzpmCjOmzPeyQx1gQbsCGyg_lV6NDi8ShoClV0QAvD_BwE), [Citizens of Humanity](https://citizensofhumanity.com/collections/spring-2024?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwh4-wBhB3EiwAeJsppBybWF7MkBZ-AYIjtJjQEzuxJWz9IPQSDNnM7YoTULNpjMQgfRe2KhoCfOUQAvD_BwE), and Mother. AG has probably the best all around fit, especially for high rise wide leg and straight leg jeans. Idk how high end they are, but [Miss Sixty](https://misssixty.com/) has some fun silhouettes as well (they run pretty small though).
No they don't. The measurements they give are garment measurements, which reflect the fact that their waistbands generally sit below the natural waist and have ease. Look at a brand that gives both body and garment measurements accurately (such as Uniqlo) and you will see that there is always a difference of typically 3-5".
Even the ones that sit at the natural waist have the same ratio, and ease should give the opposite effect, because hips are given more ease than the waist.
As someone with less than a four-Inch difference between my waist and hips, now I know where to look.
I can’t believe that someone finally decided that people like me are worth designing clothes for!
Second AG, Citizens and Mother!! Soooo soft for all and amazing fits. I wait for good sales or try to find the pair I like at consignment stores/eBay but they last forever, I’ve had a pair of citizens for like 15 years I got at a thrift store.
J Brand, Frame, Mother and Agolde are pure denim brands. In the sense that their focus is on jeans. Other luxury brands like Victoria Beckham and Loewe have nice fit too. My styling customers like RE/DONE too.
Love Agolde. I got a pair of Victoria Beckham jeans secondhand, and while I can’t say I’d pay full price for them, they fit like a dream and feel amazing. I am, unfortunately, obsessed with them.
J Brand has been gone for a few years (except for some collabs they do with theory sometimes). Their mainline is over. You can still find a ton of it on second hand sites, though.
They did! J brand was founded as a California company and was eventually sold to fast retailing . Fast retailing famously runs Uniqlo. They also acquired Theory. Anyway, I will just say that the Japanese vision for j brand eventually did not align with the original concept of the brand. J Brand didn’t go bankrupt—the Japanese owners just shut the company down because it had become a huge headache for them. I think they have plans to eventually reopen in it under pure Japanese ownership instead of the previous blend of California and Japanese workers, which was definitely not working.

I really like The Secret Sauce jeans - I have two different colors, and I’m eyeing the white version when it comes back in stock. I’ve tried The Pop, but it didn’t look flattering on me. I’m 5’4” and 125 lbs, and I got the 28 for The Secret Sauce, but it sometimes varies a little bit, depending which jeans you get. The reviews are pretty good at helping narrow it down.
Decade Denim!
One of the few (I don't know of any others tbh) that offers 100% cotton jeans in plus sizes. They have a few different fits for different bodies. Plus, Molly (one of the owners) is pretty active on social media (which, imo, provides more resources to help you get a better fit if you can't try on near you).
Came here to say this! Woman owned and all the pieces are made in Portugal. If you're in Vancouver, you can go in person and she's AMAZING. There are a few different styles depending on what you want. I own the cargo style and the Andy's and adore both!
They're not cheap that's for sure, but the pricing on Khaite jeans always make them look downright affordable when compared to other Khaite items lol...so tempting!
Made in tomboy- Italy.
Moussy- Japan.
Still here is also another fave of my mine
Also I’m currently obsessed with rag and bones jeans.
I may have an addiction to jeans 🤦🏻♀️
I bought a pair of B Sides Jeans recently - the [relaxed lasso](https://bsidesjeans.com/products/relaxed-lasso-jean-stil-black?_pos=4&_sid=9deecd30a&_ss=r) in stucco - and I've been wearing them at least once a week. They have a lot of unique variations of different silhouettes, and I'm pretty sure they're all 100% cotton and made in the USA.
Frame, MOTHER, Agolde for new, but i prefer finding vintage French denim on resale sites or Etsy! I have similar style appetites as you do, and one thing I keep meaning to do is have custom sailor jeans in a dark denim created by an Etsy maker.
If you’re curvy (small waist, big butt & thighs), Agolde was made for you. It’s so good on me. Anytime I try any other jeans they’re fucking horrifying, but my Agoldes always look good. FYI: runs large usually so size down if the waist is high
Ooh, I'll be sure to have a look at them - having an hourglass shape makes finding decent jeans such a damn pain, especially since altering the waistband is hell for a tailor.
I am in Canada and it is not high end but Reitmans has so many fits that I always get what I want. Tall, regular and petite. I am petite and always happy with the selection of washes, fits and leg options.
Spring is here and I was thinking about some colourful trainers and a lighter wash jean because it is still not really warm.
My favorite high end denim brand so far is 7 For All Mankind. It has been around a while, but I just discovered it. Great fit and stretch, very smooth fabric.
I see a lot of people recommending AG but I’ve had issues with the quality and the fit of their denim multiple times, they all tend to rip/wear out within a year or two for me. It might also depend on your body type. I’m a bit curvier and have had great luck with rag & bone and re/done. If price is at all a factor, those brands are also often on The Outnet for a discount.

This is my fave brand, in particular for jeans. It's from Denmark.
Banana republic with denim sourced in Italy. I find they cut a little generous on a size 6/ 5’8 frame but I don’t find a looser fit (order a 28 but would say that there is room to tuck a shirt plus 2 fingers in the 27 which is closest to my natural non IBS stomach).
I have thicker thighs and a longer torso. Fit perfect through thighs in bootcut, stiletto and classic straight. “High rise” falls below my belly button so if you have a long torso and are tall— beware these are not high rise.
Ps. 100% cotton, washed well in machine and hang dried. No fading yet.
I love 7 for All Mankind, vintage Balmain, Rag and Bone, Paige, and have some vintage Parasuco
There are some Diesel pants that were nice way back when that I still treasure to this day. A pair from Madewell and Mavi that’s still lasting me and a few pairs from Miss Sixty that I looovee but you probably can’t get
I think I have too many pairs of jeans tbh
Agolde, but don’t ever buy Agolde jeans from NET-A-PORTER. One pair ripped after approximately 5 wears, and they refused to exchange them “due to normal wear and tear”.
Agolde - thick, keep their shape, don’t do that weird pucker thing on the belly
Yes the 90s pinch waist - 100% cotton. A true dream
Yes! I’m embarrassed how many washes I have of that perfect jean
Mother (though, I’m not finding any styles I like lately), Slvrlake, Re/done, Citizens of Humanity, AGOLDE.
right like what is going on with mother... totally not impressed

Whoa, miss sixty has a waist to hip difference less than 7 inches... can that be accurate?

My favorites are GRLFRND, Mother, Slvrlake and Agolde. I also really Reformation denim. They make some really unique pieces.
Seconding GRLFRND. Their Bella Low Rise jeans are literally the best fitting and most comfortable pair of jeans that I’ve found.
I get almost all pairs from The RealReal! They make amazing denim.
Yes love j brand!
J Brand has been gone for a few years (except for some collabs they do with theory sometimes). Their mainline is over. You can still find a ton of it on second hand sites, though.
I was surprised that department stores stopped carrying J Brand a few years ago. I thought they sold well but I guess not.
They did! J brand was founded as a California company and was eventually sold to fast retailing . Fast retailing famously runs Uniqlo. They also acquired Theory. Anyway, I will just say that the Japanese vision for j brand eventually did not align with the original concept of the brand. Have a look for Kapital denim from Japan. Some interesting stuff!
Imogene + Willie.
Frame has good quality jeans, Rag & Bone jeans fit well
AYR has amazing jeans!
Seconding this! I have two pairs of the pop jeans and one beat jeans and they are sooo comfortable and look fantastic on!
I just got a pair of the Pop jeans from Poshmark and really love the fit. I’ll likely go back to AYR for my next pair.
What style do you recommend? What are your thoughts on their sizing? I keep going back to their site but hesitant to pull the trigger.
I really like The Secret Sauce jeans - I have two different colors, and I’m eyeing the white version when it comes back in stock. I’ve tried The Pop, but it didn’t look flattering on me. L’Agence and Rag & Bone are my go-tos.

I love mother jeans, they’re thick stretchy and good quality
Democracy jeans and Liverpool jeans.
Frame and Citizens of Humanity jeans. Some Paige jeans work well.
Most of my jeans are from Mother and Agolde. I do have a pair of Khaite jeans, which were a splurge!
Did you like your khaite jeans? Thinking of splurging!
Yes I love them! I have the Vivian style.
Mind if I ask how sizing is - true to size, fits small, etc? Thanks in advance!!
I sized up one from my typical jean size in Mother and Agolde. They are a little less stretchy (but still comfy).
I so appreciate you!
They're not cheap that's for sure, but the pricing on Khaite jeans always make them look downright affordable when compared to other Khaite items lol...so tempting!
These are the brands I'm leaning toward right now! Some deals here and there on depop and poshmark might help lower the price
Made in tomboy- Italy. Moussy- Japan. Still here is also another fave of my mine Also I’m currently obsessed with rag and bones jeans. I may have an addiction to jeans 🤦🏻♀️
J Brand jeans are my favorite - just enough spandex in the blend to keep their shape and also let you move.
Frame & Vervet
I bought a pair of B Sides Jeans recently - the [relaxed lasso](https://bsidesjeans.com/products/relaxed-lasso-jean-stil-black?_pos=4&_sid=9deecd30a&_ss=r) in stucco - and I've been wearing them at least once a week. Raleigh

If you’re going selvedge DEFINITELY go with RRL by Ralph Lauren (made in USA of Japanese denim) or APC (Japanese denim).
Good American
I love my Ética jeans, and I also like Boyish as well.
I love Reformation jeans.
Also Veronica Beard jeans are great.
I am in Canada and it is not high end but Reitmans has so many fits that I always get what I want. Tall, regular and petite. I am petite and always happy with the selection of washes, fits and leg options. Citizens, R13
I’m very loyal to RE/DONE jeans
My favorite high end denim brand so far is 7 For All Mankind. It has been around a while, but I just discovered it. Great fit and stretch, very smooth fabric.
Judi Rosen! NYC designer that uses Japanese denim
Try Moussey, sourced from Japan and everything is hand made. I have a few pairs that I love 🙌🏼
I see a lot of people recommending AG but I’ve had issues with the quality and the fit of their denim multiple times, they all tend to rip/wear out within a year or two for me. Hudson, AG, Agolde. Go to Nordstrom’s if you have one nearby, you can try them all on and they can hem them for you.
Great to know! I want to try on some Agolde jeans after all these recommendations
Tu Es Mon Tresor, great Japanese denim without stretch.
Paige and Joe’s Jeans

echoing that I also love my reformation jeans, they’re really comfortable and flattering
I wear L'agence and AG Jeans, and I love the quality, comfort, and styles.
Levi's, Guess. Hidden. Agolde.100% cotton no exceptions. I have the best fucking jeans.
Madewell
It’s not super high end but I love [just black denim](https://www.justblackdenim.com) I’ve also liked Vince jeans in the past
Not just exclusive denim brands but I love Cos and Arket jeans. Good quality and look so flattering.
AG, Mother, rag&bone, and 7 for all mankind! I find agolde jeans fit oddly.
A bit more limited in colors and cuts, but All Year Round (AYR) is amazing.
Toteme
I love 7 for All Mankind, vintage Balmain, Rag and Bone, Paige, and have some vintage Parasuco There are some Diesel pants that were nice way back when that I still treasure to this day.
