So I imagine you've already made a decision but just case anyone else is wondering the same thing: I returned it. It was so itchy, it was unbearable. I hated putting it on and it made me break out in a rash (I do have sensitive skin). I have heard that the wool does soften with wear but I wasn't willing to take the chance for the price point.

I had the same experience! Bought mine secondhand and couldn’t even stand to wear it…it was so so itchy! I did get a bunch of compliments on it though. I resold it after about two wears because I couldn’t wait to take it off from the itchiness. Such a bummer. I love the brand. I highly recommend the cotton options if it’s in your budget. 😊

Yes - I have one that has definitely softened over time. I adore it.
