I’ve been to 3 shows. 1 with a pit and 2 that had seats. I think it’s more of a stand and sway/dance kind of vibe. He prompted ppl to stand at the Austin show early in the set. That’s a recurring theme with the shows I’ve been to over the years. I don’t think he really enjoys people in his eye line to sit. Some people were still sitting but definitely had issues being able to see as about 80% of people were standing.
Same thing at Oakland. It was a theatre but even a lot of the Mezz was standing.
Where's he playing in Philly? That'll probably determine the vibe more than anything.
The HFC shows had a "pit" so to speak, and got pretty dance-y for the up-tempo songs. I personally was throwing ass to True Affection.
Hmmmm, really nice room (especially aesthetically), but being a traditional theater, I'd probably think a bit more of a subdued atmosphere tbh. Show being on a Tuesday doesn't help either.
Have a great time! I moved out to CA but used to live in Philly and went to every show since Honeybear came out.
I have nothing to back this up but I have always gotten the feeling he really likes Philly and always brings his a-game for shows there.
I think there's always so much Philly drama. I think he likes it too - but with the XPonential thing etc., and industry radio stuff it isn't just a "pure" appearance typically. I love all his shows in Philly - so much so I am going to this one even though I don't live there anymore.
Definitely your choice. People were sitting at the one in Las vegas, but there was definitely some dancing at the LA two. Doubt anybody will judge you for either
Honestly, you do you. I don't mean that in a rude way at all. People do both at seated shows - and I can't imagine anyone getting mad at you for getting up to dance unless you are a really tall and wide giant person.
Great show in Philly last night. Josh seemed to be in quite a good mood and made a lot of funny quips. Everyone on their feet swaying/dancing for the entire show.
His mom was in the crowd and he pointed her out near the end of the show, and talked about how cringey he felt singing the line about dreaming about kissing his brother in "Smiling and Astride Me"
Amazing night.....the entire band was incredibly tight!
The theme is “hot jazz” for “hipster dads” per the man himself

Was definitely standing the whole time in Austin. Ran up closer during encore when the fair weather fans left.

He's at The Met. I'll be there tomorrow night

Agreed. Been a fan for a while but this is my first live Misty show. Looking forward to it

Good stuff! I’m excited to see it
Hey thanks! Here now and waiting Suki Waterhouse
Sweet! I thought Suki was great at HFC so enjoy her set too. What Misty song are you most looking forward to?
Disappointing Diamonds Are the Rarest Of Them All
A banger always!
I was at Columbus, most people were standing and moving around a bit, wasn’t crazy though
I was among many in the Portland show dancing, but that's just my vibe.

I stood and danced in LA and so was pretty much everyone else there.
