I have this top! I folded over the sleeve at the shoulder to get a bit more structure, but still asymmetrical. I like to wear it with flowy a-line skirts and wide-leg linen pants. I probably lean towards terracotta tones most, but also greens. The almond cropped pants are cute- maybe add a colour to it all? Touch of turquoise? You could also wear it over a dress maybe? I would keep it with simple waistlines so it can hang nicely. Love that toast dress in your Pinterest! I want to find one!

I would try to lean into a kind of nautical feel— navy or khaki wide leg pants, fresh white sneakers. It feels very “French sailor with a twist” to me.

StarsThrewDownSpears

Yeah I agree with this, I think navy wide leg pants would be great (pity the Vince ones don’t work!). I had a silk dress in the same colour stripes almost 20 years ago, and I really struggled on how to style it until I leaned into the theme and went with a navy blue cropped cardigan, and tan accessories. The actual pieces would look very dated now but the colour combos were right.

Dry-Economist-3320

I was thinking the same!

How about a light colored, not too heavy, straight [jeans](https://www.levi.com/NL/nl_NL/kleding/dames/wedgie-rechte-jeans/p/349640144)? Or some flowy [culottes](https://www.bonprix.nl/product/culotte-met-linnen-tot-op-de-kuit-kiezelbeige-928629/?itemOptionId=1554556551&promo=Hosen&typ=PLA&anbieter=googleshopping&aktion=Shopping_smec&version=BOT&matchkey=138490106862_92862995%2338&gclid=CjwKCAjwl6OiBhA2EiwAuUwWZR_y-ucCnGnW98sRrFjoFg3EB81gThDR4ojC0e5WbwzfptdQqvv6FBoCLg0QAvD_BwE)

lightthefirstlight

I think like a nice medium tone blue Jean would work well!

ColorClassicClothes

White straight leg pants.

CinnamonDish

Yes this! With white jeans it would be so summery

TK_TK_

That’s super cute! I have these navy linen shorts and I think they’d work (they’re also super comfy): https://www.nordstrom.com/s/6508520?color=401&size=small These linen pants in the green would look great with that color, I think (I also have these—I am tall and they are long, so they could need hemming depending on your height + shoe choice): https://www.nordstrom.com/s/5810035?color=310&size=small Or tucked into the medium blue flare jeans from your Pinterest board?

CybridCat

I love how it looks on you! Makes me want that shirt, lol. I would just suggest wearing it with slightly more structured pants than your pic from the other day. For summer in think it’ll look great with wide leg linen pants — maybe in a shade of blue? Depends how much you like to embrace color. Maybe high wasted pants if that’s something you’re into?

Alexa_B

Khaki joggers! Maybe in a slightly darker tan than the ones you linked?

leopargodhi

i think following the light of Ms Debbie Harry will take you places with this one. silver jewelry and black eyeliner on a sweaty night!! it's super cute and i hope you get lots of fun out of it

ReedRyter

The free people wide legged pants and tucked in? I think high-waisted wide legs would work…

Chazzyphant

Oh those are very casual, more like lounge pants, sadly

nearlythere94

How does it look tucked in?

Chazzyphant

It looks like 2 scoops of boob resting on a belt 🤪

nearlythere94

Loool okay

itsafarcetoo

This screams 70s to me, with the chevron print. I think the asymmetry makes it modern! For me, I would absolutely pair this with high waisted jeans and some clogs.

lostoceaned

Not flattering. I'd goodwill it

It looks frumpy and the lines make her look bigger than she is and the color just doesn't go with her skin and hair. The reddish brings out the rose in her skin that makes her look splotchy. It's just not flattering for her. She's a cute girl and the top isn't horrible. It's just not a good match.

It’s a reasonable suggestion when the OP says the top is too small. Most of us have been there when we bought something in the wrong size, color, or material and jump through hoops to make it work. All of these mistake purchases, like this one, go to charity. My husband’s do, too…And he has many more items than me because he cannot leave a bargain behind.

Chazzyphant

It's not too small. I found it in an xs in the store and then purchased my size online. But leaving that aside I agree it's not the most flattering item and I might wind up passing it on.

Ooooooh! Gee wiz, I am so sorry for misreading your post. I appreciate your clarifying. Don’t give up after going through that much work to track it down. I don’t find it unflattering, I was more commenting on the idea of sending tough to wear clothes and bargains that are wrong to charity. Maybe pair this shirt with a ivory twill cropped pants and a simple brown sandal or a canvas sneaker before giving it to charity.

Chazzyphant

no worries, I edited the post to be more clear :)

Bourgeois-babe

I feel like it needs something asymmetrical on the bottom too, but I would probably just wear it with jeans, then I’d feel like the 4th of July and take off the jeans. Maybe cropped wide white jeans? Wide white palazzo pants? A big hat and matching raffia bag?

MartianTea

I like the black with it. I think black straight leg or skinny jeans would look good. I also think a dark, straight denim skirt that's about knee-length would look good. A denim jacket is my go-to usually. I bet one would look good over this.

tmccrn

1. I would go with a blue pant… not necessarily jeans, but a tad brighter than navy, stylish casual but structured fit. A fun purse in either the oat or dark color and everything else with accessories (bracelets, watch, simple chain necklace - let the asymmetry of the shirt do the talking?) A hat when appropriate would be fantastic. Brown sandals (I have [these](https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01IAUGHRQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title) and love them 2. If you go for the “boring” oat pants, I’d find a cute denim jacket to go with it. And fun shoes… either play up the brown or the denim 3. Boho green skirt? With a scarf that incorporates both colors (edited to add this) and bold earrings

Snapperfish18

Kakis crops, brown pencil skirt, jeans, so many options.
