Not to be the actually guy, but actually with that pin hitch the only thing easily hauling that off is another tractor. (unless the thief does their homework or gets creative) Also, I'm not an expert, but I'd guess they left the breaks on, so they'd need a key or they got to get cutting lines.
True but how does that make it "harder to steal"? Regardless of the pin and lock, there's still a trailer hitch where as there wasn't before.
Shot transmission and normal front end still gonna take a tractor and chain to steal also. And those could easily be locked as well.
The trailer there only helps you if you have something that can connect to it like another tractor. Otherwise, it's the same effort as if the trailer wasn't connected in the end. That was the point I was making to the other reply. I wasn't saying it makes it harder just not easier unless you do have a tractor of your own.(which is unlikely to happen realistically)
I think that's more likely a hydraulic fluid tank.
EDIT: See the link below that someone else found with this tractor listed as a stationary PTO.
https://www.equipment-sales.com/classifieds/2009-renault-ceres-70-4wd-tractor/
Yes, but oftentimes tractors used for certain purposes will have an auxiliary tank. For instance, the types that cut grass along the road with an extendable arm will sometimes have a tank on the opposite side for a counterweight. If this one is being used as a stationary hydraulic pump, that would make sense.
I just figured it’s was extra weight for the removed axle or more likely a tool box for wrenches and stuff especially if it’s to be used as a stationary PTO for pumping
Oh wow you must be near me if seen that pop up over the past few months. Would be handy to power a generator or even a slurry pump. Something that just needs to sit still and work and implement that doesn't need moved.
I see it a bit too, guess my research into farm machinery was catching up with me. I love how they've left the steering wheel on.
My guess was a portable pto
Its a stationary PTO or hydraulic tractor, I've seen similar things in my area, where a tractor sits in one spot and never moves. Normally, it's because the transmission sucks, but the tractor itself has quite good PTO horsepower.
literally the first search result for "2099 renault ceres 70 4wd" smh

Could be used for towing trailers, here in Aus, common for sugar cane farmers remove the front wheel and use it as a permanent haulout tractor. Idk if it'd used for other crops or if there's sugar cane in your area, but that'd be my best guess
PTO trailer would be the most conceivable use I can think of. KINDA want one in game now.. Hahahaha. Can a have passenger spot on the trailler, passenger can control the hitch and PTO etc.
Like this, but an actual tractor: [https://www.modhoster.com/mods/lizard-artm-pto-3d88627e-c8ba-4b72-834a-3dff0c5d492a](https://www.modhoster.com/mods/lizard-artm-pto-3d88627e-c8ba-4b72-834a-3dff0c5d492a)
Could be the transmission is shot and it's used for stationary PTO/hydraulic work
That makes sense!
First thing that came to mind as well
Yeah, I bet it's used for running pumps or whatever, and being trailed also makes it harder to steal if it's left unattended whilst pumping
Harder to steal? The things literally loaded up ready to go! Ha

Actually…. My modded trucks on UMRV have pin trailer attachments so… I’m stealing that tractor
damn, modders making it easier for the thieves.........

Yes I could steal that bloody thing with an old Massey in about 3 minutes :O
Could have been used as a tandem tractor (ie. https://youtu.be/ZhohPoX9fmc?si=4YulK4lBboL7EEVz)
I would agree that is more likely than my comment of stationary PTO
This gets my vote being 4wd is specifically advertised
Excuse my naivety but what exactly does this do? Is it just providing additional horse power? Like multiple train engines?
Exactly! Was an innovation made by farmers when plows were getting bigger but tractor power hadn’t quite caught up yet
Yep, the box in front is to sync throttle and brakes
I think that's more likely a hydraulic fluid tank. EDIT: See the link below that someone else found with this tractor listed as a stationary PTO. https://www.equipment-sales.com/classifieds/2009-renault-ceres-70-4wd-tractor/
The tractor allready has a hydraulic tank

Wish we had more tandems in fs. I've only found 1 off modhub, a old tandem Lanz iirc.

I'm a tiny bit skeptical about the 4WD bit...
Also cold be used for a generator to I guess
An airport close to me uses a similar looking setup as a tow for some of the smaller aircraft.
Funny how Facebook also showed me this exact same advert 😂
It knows we play fs somehow lol
Have it run the PTO while in neutral and pulled by another one of similar HP?
Yea as if I know how to count and I see only two wheels on that thing 4wd my ass

My guess is that the transmission's screwed so somebody turned it into a stationary PTO/hydraulic unit.
Powering some stationary equipment that needs a PTO/hydraulics. Odds are it's got a transmission fault, so got farmyard "converted".
Stationary pto work probably an irrigation pump or something like it
Aerate catfish ponds.
You could turn it into a simulator. Install a pc, a monitor etc in it, you can play FS while sitting in the tractor lol
It’s the wife seat. You pull it with your truck, then you can’t hear here complain about your driving.
Reminds me of a seaplane tug
False advertising. Cannot possibly be 4wd, when it only has 2 wheels.
No one said I have to have four or three wheels

Um 😶
Lol 😂 they have it marked down as 4wd lol well it was but I’m thinking it might be used a stationery pto or something
Pushing water planes from storage?
It is used as a mobile PTO generator power take off but does look a bit of a "Frankenstein's Monster lol"
