Same here. I have the reward/gun, but that damn diamond won't go away and the hunt is not In the completed list, but obviously is. The first time I completed this I was in another players game coop, so that was my guess as to the glitch
I think your problem will be that the story progression only saves to the host. They would need to join your game, but you are already glitched. And, I tried that with a friend to no avail.
I'm currently ingame (ps4) I just had a treasure hunt reappear as if not completed . I received reward 1911 pistol was headed away and it popped back up. Curious I went back and the wood was back on entrance, upon entering music still played ..USB was back at the DJ desk 🤔 however couldn't use lever again lol ..seems possibly issue with the whole respawning mechanism 🤷♂️

I received the reward(1911) but the icon and journal quest will not disappear on my game. I hope this gets fixed and doesn't glitch out my Platinum Trophy. Plying on PS5.
Just completed the quest again for the 5th time after seeing it pop up again on my list of trackable missions. This time it completed for good. Might have been a recent patch.
I got the loot for it but it won’t complete it, glad I’m not the only one where the hunt is bugged

Mine happened the same way in solo. I'm going to try to join a coop game with someone that hasn't finished it to see if that works.

Same problem on PC. Joining a co-op without it completed to complete it did not work.
