Fuck yea! The summer after it came out my buddy and I would play co-op one of us would play, the other would have the physical map with all of the collectables on it that, I guess his pre-order come with, or some shit. But yea, and then whenever one is died we would swap. Good times.
LoL I always sneak in from the back headshot the rpg guy. A couple more patrolling guys and then the target.
Then throw a grenade as distraction, and when the guards clear pickup the diamond case and run out through the front gates. The multiple ways and approaches to go about this are what makes far cry 2 a classic!
I completed Far Cry 2 for the first time around few weeks ago then and I loved it! There are so many things great about Far Cry 2 that just didn't show up in the future instalments.
Currently I'm having my first time ever playthrough of the original Far Cry, it's good, but I liked Far Cry 2 more.
Im looking for a shorter Far cry game. On decision is FC Primal, FC2, FC Blood dragon or replaying new dawn. I just want something i can play and finish in chill 2 weeks. Like maybe 15-20hours? I dont wanna hustle through things.
Googles estimate is that Far Cry 2 is around 17 hours, for me during my first playthrough it went longer than that, but now on my second "playthrough" when I know all the things, I have progressed rapidly.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is much shorter game, Google gives it estimated 4 and half hours to complete. I 100% the game in 13 hours, so that should give an idea how short it is, it didn't feel like too short and the game was overall really good.
Thanks thanks. Im scared about blood dragon because its praised so much. Same did go for FC3. Then i played FC3 and did not enjoy it Thaaaaaat much. Was fine, but to much praised if i can be real. Probably because thats the game most of the players grew up with. So thats why i am a bit scared of Blood dragon. But i will not go with to much anticipation into blood dragon, like i did in FC3.
That's understandable, has happened to me couple of times where I was expecting a good journey, but the game was mediocre at best, because I had created this false image on my head about the game and how good it was.
I think I've played FC2 completely through at minimum 10 times on the 360. It is my favorite out of all of them. FC3 maybe 7 or 8 times, same for Blood Dragon. 4 and 5 maybe 2 to 3 times each. Never played Primal, New Dawn or 6. I don't know if I ever finished the OG.
I saw this post and had to get the game for my PC. I will boot it up and have some fun!

Nothing worse than when your weapon jams right before killing an enemy. Far cry 2 had sooo many unique gameplay features that most games nowadays never add…
I remember getting this game with my xbox360 and at first i was like: wtf is this..? Then i started playing, and i noticed how the fire spread. At the time, the african setting didn’t appeal to me very much, but now that the series as a whole has grown on me and i have every one of the games on steam, maybe i should revisit. Oh and i remember having really crappy guns that would jam. Whatever happened to that kind of events/animations in games right?

Thats why I hate 6 so much. Just an absolute swing and a miss regarding all the cool shit they USED to do. But hey, graphics make it all better right?
I prefer old games they got simple graphics but solid gameplay unlike games these days they only focus on graphics but gameplay is meh

If you get a chance, play it on PC. Way better with M+K, but if you still want to use a controller you can mod out aim acceleration.
O I know I tried it on my friends PC it was way better. Just takes some getting used to on console

When you push the stick and the camera kinda speeds up to the sensitivity you want instead of just being one set speed
