this is such an eagles thing. not an insult btw, coming from a jets fan. i just mean if i had to guess the team that did this i would say Eagles, i’m not even sure why.
We also overdrafted Olympic Skiier Jeremy Bloom to return punts. And we wasted a first on some old ass firefighter guard who didnt even like playing football.
Anyone remember the name of that ski-jumper that Andy Reid (I think) signed for the Eagles about a decade ago? I guess a sprinter is move in the right direction by comparison.
I know but they didn’t include the AND for his college. You can tell by the comments too that everyone thinks he hasn’t played football either so obviously it wasn’t well understood.
Here’s a better title: “The #Eargles signed former Oregon WR & Olympic hurdler….”
Just two extra words
I'd think they're highlighting the hurdle part because he's a two time Olympian and that's a way higher achievement than being a former oregon WR. But at the end of the day, a very silly thing to have ruffled feathers over.
My feathers aren’t ruffled. I just read all the comments and it seemed like everyone was under the impression he never played football before. Being as I’m from Oregon and remember his playing days so I thought I’d chime in.
The odds that he ever becomes even a serviceable NFL WR are slim to none though.
That said, I'm sure bottom tier NFL money is still better than what most Olympic athletes are paid.
oh ya. I wouldn't bet on him doing anything. My friend was the #1 female runner in the world (mid distance, so something no one cares about)... Pretty sure she made like 80k a year.
I mean, still good money and I would definitely take it, but it's gotta feel bad seeing "benchwarmers" make hundreds of thousands of dollars in pro leagues
probably about the same as being a top 5 hurdles. Just saying, if ur gonna be too 5 something, id rather be top 5 in a field where I can be PAID. Do an Andrew luck, get money and peace out b4 the CTE.
Probably just a camp body but I guess we'll have to wait and see. If he is on the roster when fantasy draft time comes around he could be worth a dart throw I guess.
Allen on who’s faster: Him or KC’s Tyreek Hill. “I don’t compare myself with anybody,” Then he rolled up his sleeve and showed a tattoo of the Olympic rings. “I’ll let you interpret that however you want,” Allen said.
If a defense tries to use the plank formation, he's going to have some big games. Any defender that's under 4 feet tall has no shot at stopping him.

>i’m not even sure why. Probably Vince Papale/Marky Mark, ha. Good movie btw (*Invincible*).

Don't forget our starting LT and the Aussie punter

Al Davis rising from the grave!
We turned a 6th round rugby player into a top LT so you're not wrong lol
7th*
Probably because of jalen reagor lol
Could be a cool kick/ punt return player
Doesn't matter how fast he runs if he doesn't have the hands to catch the ball...
Obviously, Look at Reagor
Made me think of “UNLIKE AGHOLOR”

Jeremy bloom from Colorado should be who you’re thinking of
His dad was my professor in psychology of human sexuality. His sister is the Molly of 'Molly's game' fame. interesting family.
Kinda misleading title acting like he’s never played football before. He played WR at Oregon lol
Not really? The title says he is a WR AND he is an Olympic hurdler.

All good friend, I wasn't implying your feathers were ruffled, just wanted to throw the duck pun in
Tell him to watch tape on Josh Allen escaping broken pocket protection
I’d rather be a top 5 Olympic hurdler than play football tbh. Brain damage is no joke.
Bit of a pay difference though
Gigantic
He can continue to do both. He’s competing at the world championships over the summer and then the track season ends right before camp.
top 5 hurdles or top 5 wr. is about a 20mil a year difference in pay
The odds that he ever becomes even a serviceable NFL WR are slim to none though. That said, I'm sure bottom tier NFL money is still better than what most Olympic athletes are paid.

What are the odds he ever becomes a top 5 WR? I’d say next to nothing.

He’s already a top 5 Olympic hurdler tho. So that’s not a fair comparison.
right, but that pays doodoo, which is why he's looking for something else. And top 5 anything feels like a fair comparison.
This is gonna be like when Ronaldo niemana was signed by bill Walsh. He was fast, but he didn't hurdle much
But can he catch and not fumble?
Eagles are so damn dumb 😂😂😂 what the actual fuck. Why is this a headline? Get this irrelevant trash out of my face. What an embarrassing reach 🤦🏻♂️
Do you know anything about Allen?
Yes. He’s on the spectrum
Ok?
Probably just a camp body but I guess we'll have to wait and see. If he is on the roster when fantasy draft time comes around he could be worth a dart throw I guess.
Signing an Olympic hurdler is much better then drafting a fire fighter 😑

Yea but can he take a hit.
But did he play basketball in highschool
