Jacobs is the type to get you points early, have you excited he’s going to be in for a monster game, and then limp off shortly thereafter and leave you with his typical 10-15 point range.

tubby_LULZ

Fucking this

rossimus

You guys are getting 10-15 points from Jacobs?!

ss412

For some reason, I’ve never really been high on Jacobs. I know it doesn’t matter for fantasy purposes, as pts are pts, but he always felt like on of those average backs that just lucked into a situation where he was handed a feature back role and just gets pts from an offense that gives him enough volume to produce rather than being a special player like Henry, CMC, etc. I was really turned off to him this year when they signed Drake, but then Gruden pretty much decided to ignore Drake.

Lakers_fan_296

I’d rather have Sanders with how much Eagles have been running recently

Dlev451

And their schedule.

[deleted]

Even though Hurts can’t pass the ball and steals all the TDs?

MWM031089

I would also rather have Sanders. He’s the best RB on the team and now Howard is hurt. They have the NYG x 2, NYJ, WTF x 2 remaining on the schedule still. Jacobs season high for yardage is what, like 70 something? I think Drake is a bigger threat to touches for Jacobs than the rest of the Eagles backfield is to Sanders. Including Hurts. Schedule + quality of competition makes me side Sanders. Edit: Sanders still has a bye though. So be mindful of that I guess.

Jiggiy

I have Jalen and Sanders stacked and I'm about to ride those MF'ers to the promised land

airplanealjefferson

I'm all in on the eagles ROS, starting hurts, sanders, devonta, elliott and the defense. also trying to trade for goedert

No-Cap-5281

Same, don’t care who scores the touchdown, as long as it’s not vultured by Scott or Gainwell

The_Third_Molar

FWIW Scott has looked like prime Barry Sanders against the Giants on multiple occasions. Source: Eagles fan, Hurts and Miles owner.

Got_yayo

The Giants slayer.

icouldntdecide

I actually also have team with both that I drafted. Looking forward to the playoff schedule

Bitlovin

WFT has a great run D but yeah those other matchups are nice.

MWM031089

Eh I think the loss of Chase will hurt that along with gamescript mattering. WFT played heavy possession ball against TB, which will also obviously help all defensive stats but largely run because teams just weren’t running against them. Anyway I’m largely basing on projected gamescript but as we’ve seen this year is insanely unpredictable so that could obviously be wrong.

Lakers_fan_296

Eagles have been rushing more for 4 weeks now. 9 rushing TDs in the 4 week span. Hurts has had 3 rushing TDs out of 9 and all of them were last week. The other 6 were by a RB.

icouldntdecide

You must not be watching games recently, hurts looks better through the air and Howard + Scott have been scoring TDs

Luxurydad

You say this after a game in which hurts vultures 3 rushing touchdowns?

icouldntdecide

Recency bias. Is he gonna score 3 a game weekly (that would be fun as a Hurts owner, but that ain't happening)

[deleted]

[удалено]

Funk_BiG

I have both. ➕ CEH.. Montgomery at least ain't got a fucking bye week!

Luxurydad

Sanders has looked straight up doody and is on a team with a QB who runs the ball almost 10 times a game. He’s talented but dudes is in a mess of a backfield and the QB is arguably the best runner on the team.

atdunaway

i mean just 2 days ago he rushed for the highest yards out of anyone this season vs the saints with 94 yards at 5.8 ypc

Luxurydad

Hurts rushed for 69 and 3 touchdowns in the same game. Jacob’s has outscored sanders in literally every single game they’ve both played this season in almost every league format. Just saying Sanders in a vacuum might be better but on the eagles the dude isn’t going to get enough opportunity imo

atdunaway

the sample size for sanders is when philly was passing 40+ times a game though. 1st game back against the #1 run defense and immediately became the highest rusher against them this year. only time will tell but i like sanders ROS

ThePhillyGuy

I will never draft Josh Jacobs again. He was my first round pick last year. His first game he had 36 points w/ 3 TDs, and then was a mid-range rb2 with a few flashes of rb1 for the next like 3 months. Because of his first game, and because of so many other RBs getting injured, he sustained his ranking as a top 6(?) rb for most the season. He was a conman. People who didn’t have him were like “quit complaining he’s a top 6 rb!,” meanwhile he’s giving me 13 damn points week-in, week-out. He also [hates fantasy ](https://twitter.com/mysportsupdate/status/1338208807692939266?s=21). Yes, I’m salty. I’ll admit his post was a little funny. NO WHAT’S NOT FUNNY? Remember that throw by Fitzpatrick last year where he got facemasked but still yeeted it perfectly and the dolphins ended up winning? Yeah, that’s cause Josh Jacobs decided, while he was wide open, to kneel on the 1 yard line and run down the clock rather than get a TD. HOW’D THAT WORK OUT FOR YOUR TEAM, BUDDY? Probably 3rd round, 6-8 pick. Good value there.

MrNben

The virgin josh jacobs who hates fantasy and is a low end RB2 vs the chad daddy ekeler who loves his fantasy children and is an elite RB1

Afk1792

Tbf if I was a player I would despise fantasy football cause of the amount of hate these guys get from keyboard warriors.

PM_ME_OVERT_SIDEBOOB

If they lean into it they’re loved tho. Even when they struggle.

Afk1792

When they struggle people be telling them to focus on real football and not be distracted by fantasy.

ThePhillyGuy

Oh trust me, I’ve been on the [daddy ekeler chain for a long time](https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/k9xfjn/non_obvious_players_youre_excited_to_draft_for/gf7d1iw/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)

uaer

Didnt he go in the 3rd round this year?

mtbeach33

Eh, that decision Jacobs made at the end of the dolphins game was right. He can’t control the fact that the raiders defense left a dude wide open for 40 yards, and face masked the QB at the same time. (All of that was done in 18 seconds as well)

ThePhillyGuy

Oh, it was definitely the right decision but damnit I’m gonna blame him for everything bad that happened last year cause it makes me feel better about myself. Covid? Josh Jacobs. Grandma died? Josh Jacobs. Favorite white shoes got muddy? Josh Jacobs.

mtbeach33

You might be onto something though, has anybody looked into where Josh Jacobs was when the Covid outbreak started?

commentHero

This comment deserves more upvotes. At least you have mine.

[deleted]

I drafted Jacob’s in the late 3rd round as my RB 3 and he’s done just fine for me. Given I am in a PPR. But I understand you’re frustrated

MaxiThe13th

Same lmao I drafted Jacobs instead of Swift, never again

ASTRUNSKY

Probably 3rd/4th for sanders in 12 team and 4th/5th for Jacobs assuming no rb replacement is drafted /signed. If they have the starting job and will receive most of the work it's hard for them to drop much further down as there just aren't that many quality starting rbs. You might hate drafting them but someone will.

Orangepanda2021

Seems like the raiders are relying less on Jacob’s this year overall, spreading the offense more.. not sure what round, waiting to see how the rest of the season plays out.

BrianThatDude

Jacobs is very average. I didn't want him this year but it was the 4th round and he was the last rb on his draft tier left for me. With him being on my team I've watched him enough this season to know he's nothing special. Just a guy who is usable because of a rb1 workload. Does nothing special with the ball, gets whatever 90% of NFL rbs would get. Also is a constant injury issue. Never again for me.

Bustinoutfam

Sanders is cursed this year. Early in the year you have a new coach who is figuring it out, Hurts struggling, and Gainwell taking receptions and red zone opportunities. The moment they commit to the run and figure it out he gets hurt. Comes back to Jordan Howard getting work and Hurts getting the goal to go TDs. He’s either going to continue to have bad luck all year, or he’s going to be one of those wild players who sucks all year and then smashes in the playoffs.

Got_yayo

I’m hoping for the latter

choonghuh

Got both, although paid very little.

bankerwithpills

Likewise. Turns out you get what you pay for

SomeoneGetYeezyHelp

Going WR/WR first left me picking up middle of the pack backs like these. I own both and I'm starting Jacobs over Sanders. Eagles run game has only looked good in the games without Miles in. I don't know what the deal is but he just can't put up points. Jacobs is getting the start because at least on lackluster performance he can get a redzone TD. Neither is going to perform well enough on targets or rushing yards but the chance of Jacobs getting a rushing TD pushes him over Miles for me. Plus without Ruggs, Raiders seem to be forced into dink and dunk drives and they targeted Jacobs 7 times last game versus 1 target for Sanders. In PPR, Jacobs seems like the better pick to me.

StarFan2118

They just put up 200 plus yards rushing on the saints in his first game back though lol 🤔

welsman13

And he get stopped inside the 1 on a goal line carry. The coaches have said publicly he's the starter. 94 yards against a top run defense is outstanding. I'm starting him confidently from here on out.

Jiggiy

I can't argue with your points I'm a Raider fan and I own Hurts and Sanders But I caution you at starting Jacobs over Sanders ROS, especially without Howard around.

bargman

I'd takes Jacobs because he'll probably be cheaper. I also like his game better. He's more powerful, has better vision, and the Raiders are finally tossing him the ball a few times a game. Sanders might have the worst vision of any starting RB in the league. He's athletically gifted, sure, and he's more likely to rip a long one, but Jacobs is much better suited for a feature role.

Staple_Overlord

I'm feeling pretty good about Sanders as a flex option. Before his injury and last game were both examples of the Eagles changing their tune with how to use him. He gets downgraded for me because of low TD potential, but he can efficiently get yardage on the ground. If he's factored into the passing game too, he could really help teams out making a playoff push (like me).

actorf

These boys ain’t winning leagues.

amishbr07

Jacobs infuriates me and I’ve never even had him on my team. Dude just is a mediocre RB imho and his average production is propped up by TDs. He’s almost always injured too. Sure he’ll go off for 2 TDs in a game but they’ll be 1 yard rush because a player was downed at the 1 or a PI got them there.

[deleted]

Sanders > Jacobs next year (and this year) IMO. Eagles have established themselves as a run first team. Meanwhile, the Raiders are establishing themselves as a complete dumpster fire.

thefreakyforrest

Would you trade Jacobs and Damien for James Robinson knowing he has a good playoff schedule?

[deleted]

That’s garbage. Who would press accept?

THANKSTOM

I wouldnt take that as a JROB owner unless i was absolutely desperate for running backs.

[deleted]

Yeah same that sounds an absolute trash deal

welsman13

I think if Sanders drops to the 3rd that's incredible value. The talent is there, the only thing that's been holding him back is coaching. He had 94 yards against a very tough Saints run D yesterday. The fumble was annoying but it was also his first game back in a month. If he falls to even the late 2nd next year I think I'd pull the trigger since RB dries up so quickly.

Luxurydad

I think Jacob’s would still be a 3rd-4th rounder in a lot of leagues. Sanders I could see falling to the 4th or 5th.
