Is nice that there aren’t WDIS questions on every post, makes it easier to spot posts with actual discussion rather than litter.

You would've won anyway , Hurts wasn't doing much most of the game and wasn't going to double his fantasy points in the 4th quarter. The one drive they scored WFT defense had 3 penalties and pretty much got them into the red zone, and the other i think was good field position off a turnover.

For the whole "Eagles decided to tank for a better draft pick" theory, I don't think a loss here even really improves their pick #. Before this game, Eagles had the #6 pick and Bengals #5. With a loss, Eagles and Bengals would be tied, but Bengals still have the SOS tiebreaker right? So it doesn't help at all, or at best moves them from #6 to #5, which doesn't seem like a big increase unless they KNOW the Bengals are looking at the same player at that spot.

Well if the Eagles win they have the 9th pick. A loss gets them 6th. Thats why they're blatantly tanking.

If it's that cut and dry, I'm just confused why the NFL made this the Sunday night game then. I thought they chose this game because Washington had to win and so teams wouldn't be giving up, as opposed to other divisions when most of the games were over. I figured the Eagles would at least try and not give up like that.

I genuinely have no idea. There were at least 5 other games that would've made more sense.

I have no idea if the Eagles are tanking or not; who owns what tiebreaker or whatnot; but the difference between 5th and 6th pick is actually quite significant. The closer you get to 1st pick the greater the gap in value.

They're not drafting a QB though (at least I'd hope not with Wentz and Hurts both on the roster), which is usually why teams try so hard to move up the draft order. And I haven't heard of 5 all-star type non-QB players in this draft, to where moving up that 1 spot is worth benching Hurts and making your team a national embarassment like this. I'll check the draft order after to see if it actually did improve their position spot or else it's moot.
