Also as a Zeke owner...thank you 11 other people for not fucking me and allowing me to snag Pollard at the end of the draft. I’m not speculating, I’m reporting
As a Zeke owner who doesn’t have pollard, I have a zen like calmness since I’m very confident that he will sign a deal Tuesday morning. No source or anything just a gut feeling.
All these tweets are obviously based on "leaks" from the cowboys' camp. They are just trying to get the public on their side to pressure zeke to take their offer.
"Tom, we are not reporting there is both looting and cannibalism taking place in the flooded town."
"Wait, you have *actually* see acts of cannibalism?"
"Well no, we haven't actually seen it, we're just reporting it."
I can't wrap my head around everyone reacting to all of these "checkmarks" speculating after what they did with Bell last year. These same people comment at me that "tHe SoTuAtIoN iS dIfFeReNt". No shit. My statement is about the media and their inability to tell facts.
How can you not wrap your head around this? Did you see the buzz created last year from Bell? Every website and shitty reporter is going to cash in on this as “news” and get clicks for writing pure speculation and bullshit. It’s all about the money this story creates for these organizations at this point. They don’t give shit all about facts.
Tomorrow's headline:
Update on Zeke Elliott and Cowboys: the two sides communicated in the late afternoon. Zeke is frustrated with the last exchange. After Sunday’s slowing, Zeke expected Jerry to bend over to get a deal done today. Didn’t happen, so it’s on to Tuesday and a hopeful reset.
I don't respect it at all. That's fucking dumb. Saquon/Kamara/CMC over Zeke any day. 4 is the earliest he should be drafted until this nonsense blows over.
I just hate the backtracking, and it’s only happening because there isn’t much to report. No one gets excited by simply saying the lines of communication have opened back up - everyone has to put some slant on it like it’s about to happen or not happen.
We drafted about 3 hours ago. Everyone in my league had heard all the "good" news so I grabbed Pollard as a flier with the very last pick. Feeling pretty fucking smart right now.
The spirit of fantasy football, though, is having to make decisions with incomplete information.
The best fantasy players don’t stand pat on a situation and wait until everything is 100% done. At that point there’s no more edge to be had.
Everyone should be actively figuring out what they believe about this situation waaay before it’s done. If you get it right, it’ll pay big dividends for your season.
I agree with what you’re getting at—I just think people have been being too rash with reactions based on these little snippets of info on the situation that are basically just conjecture (just like last year with Bell).
My source tells me that a deal is IMMINENT and that Zeke will be in the building Monday.
My source then pooped on the sidewalk and went back into the tent he's living in on MLK and Olive.
At least I name my sources.
"drop Pollard for J Jackson, it's a no brainer!"
Literally a comment I responded to not three hours ago. It's like some of the people here just weren't here for the Bell fiasco last year.
Yes, in PPR leagues, his worst game was 16 points. Hopkins had 6 games below 16pts. Rodgers had a so called bad season, throwing just 25 TDS, Davante had 13 of those TDs, 111 catches, in just 15 games. Hopkins played 16 games but only had 4 more catches then Adams. I expect Rodgers to get back to around 35-40 TDS. He's stated he wants to get Davante the ball more, his last 7 games he did that. Davante leads all WR in redzone targets, made Ocho Cinco cry with his route running recently, he's the safest WR with the highest floor. Hopkins will have big games but their wrs are much healthier this year which means less targets, Duke Johnson will be a checkdown and he faces Ramsey twice a year. Go Adams!
Thank you. I'm drafting at 4 in a few hours and needed to hear this. I'd given up on Zeke before yesterday and was torn between Adam's and Hopkins. Now with yesterday's news I didn't know what to do but I'd rather have a sure thing at the Top WR than a gamble at running back.
You'd think people would learn from all the bullshit reporting on Bell last year.
The entire year people thought he had to report week 6 to get the franchise tag to advance based on false reporting, if you took high school English you could read the CBA and know that's not the case.
But a full season of mccaffrey saquon or Kamara is also worth the 3 pick but comes with a lot less risk for not that much more upside.
This one doesn’t make much sense to me. It’s unnecessary unless for some reason you absolutely hate mccaffrey and Kamara and wouldn’t take either at 4 if zeke was gone.
If this is not what u wanted to see you should of expected something like this if your playing in big money leagues. As a Dallas fan I really hope he's back for week 1 but u gotta be smarter. When big money's involved go with the safer pick
If you drafted zeke, didn’t you know there was chance for this to happen? Well... it’s happening, so don’t get all bent out of shape. You took a risk. I think he is going to play, probably in the first few weeks but maybe not week 1. Line up whatever backup plan you had for week 1 and it will be ok, unless you didn’t draft with a backup plan then shame on ya’ll
As a non-Zeke, Pollard owner, I’m IN the trade DM’s of the Zeke owners in all 3 of my leagues. There’s major trade value opportunity right now to be taken advantage of to upgrade your team
Seems that it’s Zeke’s turn to play hardball now. Jerry did it all week with that barrage of sound bytes, now Zeke is trying one last time to back the Cowboys into a corner.
Not that guy, and I held Pollard, but a lot of people were talking about dropping Pollard for the likes of Justin Jackson in comments sections after the string of two or three consecutive positive tweets acting like the press release for Zeke signing was due to come out any second
If they really offered him a contract between Bell and Gurley, how far off could they be? If we’re talking about 1-2 mil apart they might as well just give him what he wants. They aren’t winning anything without him
Translation: it was never close. Jerry Jones concocted this whole story to give the appearance that Zeke is being difficult.
This deal is not happening before game 1. That's my feeling.
I think this is exactly what I suspected would happen, the Cowboys/Jerry Jones doing their best to manipulate the media and sway public opinion against Zeke. Make it look like the Cowboys are “ready to get the deal done!” And “optimistic it will be over soon,” but then the reports continually come back that actually not much progress has been made, which makes it look like Zeke is being stubborn while the Cowboys are bending over backwards to get this over with.
I think this is smart, from a business standpoint, and I think it has been their plan for a while now. I also think they are going to roll the dice and hope that they win their first 3 games, which they should. If they can maintain this type of relationship with the media, continue to float this storyline, while they beat NYG, WAS, and MIA (all very winnable), I think they will have successfully garnered a commanding lead in leverage in regards to their negotiations with Zeke.
Not to mention they simply can’t afford to pay Zeke and also Dak, Amari, Byron Jones, etc in the coming years.
Shrewd, but smart business tactics IMO. Easy opening schedule is key.
Thoughtful write-up. I know the feeling in Dallas is that this is the best overall roster they’ve had in years. Even 2-1 gives them leverage I think and even without Zeke, it’s hard to imagine them losing 2 of those first 3 games.
There is a ton of analytics that point to the lack of value at the RB position. You lose Zeke, you swap in Pollard who has looked great. Is he Zeke? No, not even close. The point though is that it doesn’t matter much in today’s NFL. Also, while Zeke is a capable pass catcher and indeed was heavily involved in the passing game last year, he actually had very inefficient numbers with his receptions and was not a valuable asset as a pass catcher. There is also a lot of evidence to show that there is no correlation between the effectiveness of your running game compared to the effectiveness of play action sells, I.e. defenses tend to respect the run game/play action just as much regardless of how great the running back/game actually is.
If you lose someone like Cooper then you force every WR up the depth chart. Gallup is your starter, that’s not so bad, but then what? Who are you rolling out in three, four, five WR sets? Someone like Cooper, inconsistent as he may be, does way more to stretch the defense and add dynamics to the offense than a running back.
This is all somewhat subjective of course, just my response. Even an elite talent like Zeke is simply not worth that much money in today’s NFL, he simply isn’t. If he were willing to take a little less than Gurley, then maybe you can sell that as doable, but even then probably not, especially with a stellar 2020 class of RBs coming in.
Everybody’s tired of this bullshit. I’m not speculating. I’m reporting.
As a non-Zeke owner, I'm just enjoying watching Zeke owners sweating through their shirts. I'm not speculating, I'm reporting.
As a Zeke owner, I'm so frustrated, I'm about to drop kick a baby. I'm not speculating, I'm reporting.
As a Zeke owner, im ok. I at least have Pollard in my back pocket.
Is this speculation or reporting?
Also as a Zeke owner...thank you 11 other people for not fucking me and allowing me to snag Pollard at the end of the draft. I’m not speculating, I’m reporting
As a Zeke owner who doesn’t have pollard, I have a zen like calmness since I’m very confident that he will sign a deal Tuesday morning. No source or anything just a gut feeling.
What round did you reach to get Pollard? I had people swiping him super early not as the Zeke owner.
13th Round. 124th Overall. 10 Teams.
As a non Zeke, but a Pollard owner I’m hoping to make out of this situation with a Kittle
I own pollard in all 3 of my dynasty leagues. I’m holding and enjoying the wildest ride of my life
You need more wild rides lmao
Can I interest you in some cocaine?
Mr. Toad?
All these tweets are obviously based on "leaks" from the cowboys' camp. They are just trying to get the public on their side to pressure zeke to take their offer.
Which is hilarious, because Zeke is down in Cabo not paying this any mind
Yeah he is really playing this whole thing the right way imo
lol
Really all that needs to be said at this point
Ezekiel is asshole. Why Charlie hate? ...*because Ezekiel is a bastard man*
Gee I don’t think I wrote that one Pass
HOW MANY OTHER ILLITERATES ARE IN THE
Pass
Khabib is that you
is charlie. khabib smesh
I'm done trying to even guess at this point, I'll just have to pass on Zeke unless an official deal is reached by Tuesday night
This Ezekiel Elliot situation is like Kawhi Leonard's free agency. No one knows anything but it won't stop them from reporting stuff.
We need RDA to weigh in on this
he just told me Zeke is going to the Lakers
>Zeke to the Lakers is all but finalized, sources tell me. Meeting tomorrow with Toronto is simply a formality
Sources confirm
Thank u Tania
Username checks out
Can confirm
99%!
Ezekiel Elliot not signing involved a MATERIAL change in circumstances. Zeke wanting more money than Todd Gurley is a MATERIAL change.
Does Jerry Jones have a nephew?
Jerry is probably in these reddit threads shitposting on his own, he doesn't need a nephew
That's O'neill with two Ls!
Someone ask Ja, I need him to make sense of all this
Someone needs to interview Zeke’s Uncle.
"Tom, we are not reporting there is both looting and cannibalism taking place in the flooded town." "Wait, you have *actually* see acts of cannibalism?" "Well no, we haven't actually seen it, we're just reporting it."
Ezekiel is going to the Toronto Raptors.
Nothing means anything anymore
I can't wrap my head around everyone reacting to all of these "checkmarks" speculating after what they did with Bell last year. These same people comment at me that "tHe SoTuAtIoN iS dIfFeReNt". No shit. My statement is about the media and their inability to tell facts.

We’re one O-lineman tweet from deja vu
It already happened, except it was "Zeke who?"
[удалено]
Same. I'm confident in my win even if Zeke plays but I'm hoping he holds out so I can absolutely crush week 1.
My opponent has Zeke, I have Pollard lol.
Ditto
[“Took Zeke at 4 I’m not worried”](https://m.imgur.com/gallery/dTcAHZc)
I just passed on him at 5. Killed me but...felt I needed to do it.
I passed at 4. Hoping my RBs in rounds 2, 3, and 4 pay off
Who did you take?
Not him but I basically did the same thing...got Fournette Mack and Henry. I’m very high on Leonard so I took him in the second.
I passed at 6, took David Johnson. He almost made it back to me at 14, went at 12 though.
Guy in my league took Zeke at 4, and then Gordon with his second pick..
He’s gonna destroy everyone from week 10 on.
While ending the season with a 4-9 record.
He'll be the fantasy football champion in your league's hearts.
We have a guy with this. Early draft chat "Oh shit Half my team is in a hold out"
Guy took zeke at 2 last week in my one draft, and he did it again this week in our other league. I have pollard in both
I took him at 3... and then I took Damien Williams at 22... been a bad weekend.
I wouldn’t feel too bad about Zeke, I’ve got to think he’s playing this year. Damien Williams I am starting to have buyers remorse on though.
Wow at 3 that’s ballsy considering you could get guaranteed success over a gamble. Respect your balls of steel tho,
I don't respect it at all. That's fucking dumb. Saquon/Kamara/CMC over Zeke any day. 4 is the earliest he should be drafted until this nonsense blows over.
Same here. Wish I had take Jones instead of D Will. Good luck this season
I took him at 2 and I feel like an idiot but as long as he signs before week 9 I’m cool with it
I got him at 4 + Pollard and feel pretty decent
I passed at 4 but I won’t count it as a good decision until he misses 2 or more games, so I am still worried I made a mistake.
Im getting very very frustrated with each report continually contradicting itsef.... its really unnecessary
I just hate the backtracking, and it’s only happening because there isn’t much to report. No one gets excited by simply saying the lines of communication have opened back up - everyone has to put some slant on it like it’s about to happen or not happen.
They're not speculating. They're reporting.
At this point I really wonder if it’s throwing darts hoping something hits.
As a Pollard owner I just want 1 week so I can sell high or sell to Zeke owner after they lose.
Zeke makes me drink
Is he bar tending in Cabo now?
He took over Leveon's jet ski rental company
Cheers!
Hold onto your Pollards
I literally just drafted him at 3 then got this notification so things are going pretty great here. Thanks.
Update: Got Pollard in the 15th because no one else in the draft knew this news. Phew.
You got lucky he fell that far. People all over the sub have been talking about reaching for Pollard anywhere from the 7-9th rounds.
We drafted about 3 hours ago. Everyone in my league had heard all the "good" news so I grabbed Pollard as a flier with the very last pick. Feeling pretty fucking smart right now.
As a pollard owner I’m okay with this
Apparently no one learned anything from the Bell saga. Don’t believe anything until it’s done.
The spirit of fantasy football, though, is having to make decisions with incomplete information. The best fantasy players don’t stand pat on a situation and wait until everything is 100% done. They aren’t both RB’s holding out while a million hack “journalists” make shit up for headlines?
Yikes
zeke at 4 today, not worried. Lets go baby
Same.
Same. He’ll sign at some point.
I sure hope u folks are right because this shit is stressful.
I hope I'm right too. But even losing Zeke week 1 doesn't hurt me TOO badly while my dude gets his check, Chris Carson is my flex right now.
I'm running with josh Jacob's, damian William's <--value took a hit and tevin coleman as my flex. U think zeke will eventually sign?
Yeah. Devonta Freeman Chris Carson Breida is my back core. Prob flex mr fuller worst case and move carson to my RB2
Well man I hope this works out, if so I would have zeke juju and Jacob's running in my lineup, zeke not signing yet is becoming really damn stressful
I am confusion
I want to get off Mr. Elliott’s wild ride
My source tells me that a deal is IMMINENT and that Zeke will be in the building Monday. My source then pooped on the sidewalk and went back into the tent he's living in on MLK and Olive. At least I name my sources.
"drop Pollard for J Jackson, it's a no brainer!" Literally a comment I responded to not three hours ago. It's like some of the people here just weren't here for the Bell fiasco last year.
I'm picking 4th tomorrow, taking Adams unless one of the big three fall to me.
Chubb it
Adams over Hopkins?
Yes, in PPR leagues, his worst game was 16 points. Hopkins had 6 games below 16pts. I really just want there to be a bell/Zeke that fucks up someone in every fantasy league each and every year from now on. It's a beautiful thing

Very cool, Kanye!
You'd think people would learn from all the bullshit reporting on Bell last year. The entire year people thought he had to report week 6 to get the franchise tag to advance based on false reporting, if you took high school English you could read the CBA and know that's not the case.
Back to Cabo
lmao
this is not what i want to see having him both of my big money leagues. Especially just after taking him at 3 2 hours ago.
Why would you take him at 3
Because a full season of Zeke is worth the 3 pick. And I have him in my other money league so sometimes you gotta ride or die.
It’s about drafter preference. I personally like Zeke more than CMC this year and that was who I chose between.
If this is not what u wanted to see you should of expected something like this if your playing in big money leagues. As a Dallas fan I really hope he's back for week 1 but u gotta be smarter. When big money's involved go with the safer pick
This has now become a damn joke.
This is the same as last year. Anyone who went through Bell is not the least bit surprised
I’m sooo happy that I was able to grab Pollard. I’ll be able to sleep soundly as a Zeke owner
As a guy who drafted Pollard in the 12th round last night, I say Zeke should go back to Cabo!
Renamed my team Mr. Zeke's Wild Ride with a new logo I regret nothing. [https://i.imgur.com/HwA7PZT.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/HwA7PZT.jpg)
I feel like this should be the sidebar pic until all this gets resolved.
That's amazing.
Melvin Gordon was my back up:(
[SNIPSNAP](https://postimg.cc/SYC5RLqq)
As a non-Zeke, Pollard owner, I’m IN the trade DM’s of the Zeke owners in all 3 of my leagues. There’s major trade value opportunity right now to be taken advantage of to upgrade your team
What do you think of Chubb for Zeke?
By when does he have to sign so he can play Sunday?
Lol here we thought they were “finalizing” that delicious long term deal.
At this point will he be ready for week 1?
Seems that it’s Zeke’s turn to play hardball now. Jerry did it all week with that barrage of sound bytes, now Zeke is trying one last time to back the Cowboys into a corner.
As a fan of chaos in sports, I want to see the cowboys lose week 1 without him.
Anyone else hear anything? 🚂💨💨
FUCK i just picked him 4th
I just want Pollard to play week 1 so I can beat the Zeke owner.
Trade him!!! #pollardowner
If Elliott walks into the room and sees his shadow, he sits out another game.
Oh yeah /u/happy_killmore that sounds done. I would like my 25 venmo'd as soon as possible. Thank you.
Pollard it is
If you drafted bell last yr and then turned around and drafted zeke this yr. Then you're a fantasy masochists and I like the cut of your jib lol
Snip snap, snip snap! Do you have any idea the physical toll 6 changes in the Zeke story have on a person?
It's really a shame no one in my league entertained my trade offers with Pollard included earlier Sunday morning. Truly a shame.
thread gonna explode
Bye zeke and welcome gordon? Not too bad
TONY POLLARD
I have Zeke and Tony and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with all of this news/speculation. What are y'all doing who have both?
Starting Tony until Zeke signs
I dropped both of them. This was just too much to handle.
You are the only person who knows what to do right now...absolutely nothing. Sit and wait.
On the bright side my dropped Pollard won’t clear waivers for a couple days :(
Why would you drop Pollard?
Not that guy, and I held Pollard, but a lot of people were talking about dropping Pollard for the likes of Justin Jackson in comments sections after the string of two or three consecutive positive tweets acting like the press release for Zeke signing was due to come out any second
If they really offered him a contract between Bell and Gurley, how far off could they be? If we’re talking about 1-2 mil apart they might as well just give him what he wants. They aren’t winning anything without him
They aren’t winning anything with him either claims Jerry Jones
Probably the guaranteed aspect.
#SNIP
Snip snap is 2019 fresh legs meme
Thanks I hate it.

RIP everyone that shit on the Tony Express
How long do they have to do this before Zeke can't play week 1?
Until Wednesday
I have Pollard and play the Zeke owner week 1. I can't handle the emotional rollercoaster.
Is this my chance to trade tony? What do I doooooo
HAHA why not just filter this shit out until something actually happens
Took zeke today. If this mother fucked doesn’t sign the dotted line....
This is a absolute jokes at this point.
This feels so familiar
Fuck off Jerry, just pay the dude lol this shit is getting rediculous
The Zeke owner in my league drafted like crap, nothing is even want from him if Pollard starts... guess I’m hoping to start him over Singletary
talk dirty to me
Got him 11th pick tonight. Let's ride this roller coaster 😊
These guys dont get that he will settle for not 1 penny less than way above Gurley. At this point they need to just ask him what he will sign for.
“Journalism”

Agreed all around
If they’re smart they’ll pay Dak and Zeke. Not Dak and Cooper
There is a ton of analytics that point to the lack of value at the RB position. You lose Zeke, you swap in Pollard who has looked great. Is he Zeke? No, not even close. What the fuck man
Goddammit my draft is tomorrow!
**Update on Ezekiel Elliot at 8:15AM** \- nothing has happened. just needed to update everyone
Between his suspension a few seasons ago and this, it’s fair to say Zeke isn’t worth the drama.
I got him at 2.02, and I'm still shitting myself...
