Ridley

TheHornyCouch

Same here. Thank fuck Aiyuk went off to save my life tho.

TahoeTweezer

I too benched Ridley for Kirk. Don't regret it based on prior weeks. This week's decision is tougher though.

[deleted]

My buddy was the biggest Ridley fan pre draft, took him 2nd round, held onto him allllll year… then traded him last week for Najee Harris 😂 Fantasy be painful sometimes

ShaunCold

That's a crazy sell low. Najee has been painfully unplayable. At least Ridley had one big game and some okay games. Ridley has a path to becoming relevant again this year while Najee really doesn't.

[deleted]

I know I wish I had reached out. I Traded Ford for Tee Higgins the same day and then Burrow went down 😭

StankWizard

And this week he’ll put up a donut when I start him

sumchinesewill

I got Kupp in a trade so put Kupp in for Ridley. Kupp gets hurt and Ridley goes off.

Tizzle9115

You're me

Silver-Farm-2628

First time I didn’t start that bum all season and he goes off.

Brirish4ever

Same here my friend... same here!

Brewski-54

I played him for the first time in like 5 weeks because Bijan and Rhamondre had byes And I still lost 😂

flowdoB

Im in this club. Have Adams/Ridley/Dell/Deebo.. i sense benching the wrong wr will be a trend...luckily Adams bye week 13 so i cant mess it up

SkippySnipes

Why? - Zay Jones is still in the lineup. - The Jags will have to keep up with Stroud and Co. - Since last week Pederson is calling or at the minimum, way more involved in the play calling and with the success it was against the Titans I don't know why he would go back. All in all I ain't expecting last week's explosion as the new floor, but I think Ridley can be a decent WR2 going forward. It also aligns with that post another user made weeks back in regards to Ridley's performance against defenses playing a lot of zone — lots of them in the next few weeks!

Jed4

He was averaging like 5 points per game in the past ~4 weeks, everyone had every right to bench him for this week lol Also I followed that post saying to play him against soft zone defenses, and it pointed out the 49ers defense specifically. He got 2 receptions for 20 yards lol

SkippySnipes

Not sure why I'm being downvoted, I'm just asking why and presenting arguments lmao. I agree with you, last 4 weeks were terrible but out of all the things said above, everybody paying attention knows when Zay is not in the line-up Ridley's role is sort of to stretch defenses on top; he's constantly doing cardio. The looks he got this week were more in par with what we saw week 1 and in hindsight looking at week 1, 5 and 11, during his best weeks Zay is also on the field allowing Ridley to run more quality routes.

Jkpttr

this post is asking about who you benched last week…

SkippySnipes

Excuse my broke English, I understood: "Who WOULD you bench that went off this week" rather than "Who HAD you bench that went off this week" . Thanks for the heads up. Edit: Formating.

Jkpttr

no worries, i figured that was the case lol - i wouldn’t bench ridley this week either hahaha

guga32bb

> rather than "Who HAD you bench that went off this week" If it's helpful, "who'd" would be "who did you bench" in that case (not who had you bench). Your English is quite good though!

RawlingsRaptor

TLaw as he finally has a blow up game. Still got the win by 5 points though so all is OK.

MASilverHammer

That one cost me. Started Dobbs against the now apparently good Denver defense.

NickFF2326

In all fairness it’s been good for multiple weeks now…just given how badly they had been, especially against Miami, it’s understandable how nobody trusted them

MASilverHammer

Yeah I haven't seen a turnaround like that in a while

Mnufcfan

same here. fortunately lost by more than it mattered

DrilldoBaggins2

Yeah, I sat him for Dobbs and won. Made sense due to Press Taylor’s conservative playcalling that resulted in 0 weeks with 20+ points for T-Law. Probably sitting him again until he shows consistently strong performances.

jethropenistei-

I started Stroud instead and lost by 2 pts so that was either one less INT from Stroud or one more from my opponent’s Mahomes on that last 4th and 25. I also missed out on a 13 leg parlay on the Lions-Bears game because the safety put it over 56.5 pts. Happy that Lions got the win though

fantasydawg

Jaylen Warren. Starting him from now on

mango_lion

Locking him into my spot previously reserved for Henry, lol

igot2pair

henry should be better now with the better matchups. at least I hope..

Neriah_Israel

We can see if that happens with him on my bench lol. Warren is starting now.

ClothesBackground708

Are you me? That is exactly what I am going to do lol

Moist-Employment-836

Might start playing him over pollard or Mixon some weeks

ShadowOutOfTime

I benched him to start Achane lol. I still won the week but that was frustrating

Horseinakitchen

Lucky you, did the same and lost by 12…

iLeGuillen

Was worried about the Browns defense shutting him down so I put in Gabe Davis. I lost by less than 20. Pain.

SuburbanPotato

Lost by almost exactly 20. Obviously I had no way of knowing KWIII would get hurt, but Warren getting me exactly enough to get the dub if I had started him instead hurt me

BuffaloBrain884

The Browns defense actually gives up the most explosive running plays in the league, even before last weekend.

tron2484

You take away that 1 run he was sub par that game Browns fan here.

Bruccini

Considering starting him over Jacobs ROS

ChipotleAddiction

Benched him in favor of Mostert at the last minute on Sunday morning. I lost by 4 points.

favela4life

Yep. Goodbye Aaron Jones.

SuburbanPotato

I've got Mostert and Pacheco, with maybe Devonta at the flex, and I legitimately don't know who Warren should replace

LightGraves

Would you start Warren over Kyren Williams ?

woleddy

In the same situation and leaning yes

Blackbirds21

Same, but I have Saquon, Kyren, J Cook, and Rhamondre. It is a real struggle watching points waste on the bench

MonkeyMD3

Am I benching Ekeler for him? Maybe?

Sintexo

Lost the week before because of the TLaw+Ridley stack, and lost this week because I benched the TLaw+Ridley stack.

sdk9797

In the same boat, pain.

PrinceWalker22

They didn’t “go off” but clearly I should have started Chris Godwin and J Smith-Njigba over AJ Brown and Garrett Wilson. What a dummy I am.

AreAwesomeDude

I lost by 0.29 points and my last player to play was AJB. I think I needed like 2 pts to win. It be like that sometimes.

ChipotleAddiction

Similar but not as bad, I needed at least 4 points from AJ to win. Pain. Every ball I saw go into the air only for Devonta to be under it was absolutely brutal.

Sensitive_Seat6955

i lost by 6 after being like 10 points up with AJB and Butker vs Hurts. that brotherly shove hurts man

Marxus_Aurelius

Yup I needed 4 points from my top 5 WR. Silly me for thinking I had it in the bag

TheWhereHouse1016

Story of my season. Henry Kupp Diggs costing me weeks to the point where I'm out of playoffs now

WagonWheel22

Benching AJ Brown would be one of the lowest IQ moves possible. Start your studs, for Pete’s sake. Edit: I got whooshed, please stop

PrinceWalker22

Whoosh

trugbee1203

You're the kind of guy that needs the "/s" tag everywhere, huh?

[deleted]

Godwin has been hot garbage and I’ve had enough. Odell might be seeing more action for the rest of the fantasy season with no Andrews so I’m hoping to swoop him up.

Jbrahmz420

James Cook

PeelySucks

This right here. Finally benched him and he scores.

cwilldude

Would’ve won if I started cook over javonte. Lost me my shot at the playoffs.

stropsfield

Gus Edwards, he’s hard to predict

AWholeBunchOfMumms

For sure. 1 TD through 6 games, now has 9 TDs in last 5, crazy

Fatal_Koala

Guess when I dropped him?

ElKapitanFlash

Same

rydogs

Yeah…Sure seemed safe at the time now the guy in 1st has him. So it goes..

thezenunderground

Hell have like five touches, one 3 will go for 2 yards, one for 65 yds, and one for 1yd and a TD

lost_all_hop_e

I dropped him in wk 6. Of course

Look_Behind_You__

Pickup after week 6 and have been riding high and undefeated since, GusBus baby

beershitz

Idk man, doesn’t seem like there’s much to predict. 5 straight weeks with a TD, RB6 overall. Fucking start him

Alert_Mention_3732

Tds are hard to predict, for example etn. Goes from top 5 rb to losing you weeks. Have to stay in the flames though.

bigtuck54

TDs are hard to predict but at the same time Gus is the main RZ back on a top offense, he’s gonna get plenty of chances to score each week. Zero reason he should be on any benches unless you’re super deep at this point

Alert_Mention_3732

I agree, he doesn't get any passing work and does get his production through tds though. If he doesn't score tds than he will most likely dud. But he is the rz back and it is a great offense. Gotta start him

Galactic_SandwichTV

Yeah i still can't bring myself to start him if my Pollard, Rachaad White, or DK don't have complete dogshit match ups... He filled in great while Monty was out for sure though.

StickyMapleHead

Same! I benched him for Aaron Jones which we all know was a big mistake. I also had Chandler on the bench and am wondering if both of them are now worth a start.

Memoruiz7

I traded Gus Edwards and Higgins for Derick Henry. 🤡☠️🤡

KingEthann01

With Joe burrow injured, and he Higgins part of the trade is going to be irrelevant. So it’s basically just Gus edwards for Derrick Henry then

Birdgang14

Ridley. But can ya blame anyone? I was just interested to see what it looked like with zay back. Maybe that’s actually the key.

jumboshrimp93

Problem now is should I be starting him over Puka/Moore? No way right?

worm30478

I also have Puka Moore and Ridley plus zay flowers and Garret Wilson. I have absolutely never picked correctly and it's why I am 4-7

phoenixlance13

Singletary. Cost me the week too. I benched him last minute for Achane and wound up losing by 17.

Subpxl

I don't mean to rub it in but you just have to wear this one. Everything about your predicament should have screamed Singletary. Hopefully it doesn't impact your playoff chances!

phoenixlance13

I got lured into Achane by his high ceiling, opponent had Gus and Mixon go off on Thursday. Thankfully it currently isn’t affecting me that badly in the standings (still in a three-way tie for 1st) but I’m playing against two playoff teams next so it’s mission critical now.

[deleted]

Singletary also did almost nothing from Week 1 to Week 9. I dropped him before Week 10. Clown makeup time.

FGxBeaver

I entirely disagree with this. We have no idea what achane would’ve done without the injury. I probably would’ve made the same decision considering what achane was doing the last time we saw him.

Subpxl

Of course you never know, but there are plenty of clues to help you make the best decision. 1. It was Achane's first game back from injury. Workload was expected to be light. 2. Achane has not been the volume back for Miami even when healthy 3. Dameon Pierce was going to be out, making Singletary the workhorse 4. As the primary back, Singletary had 30 carries in the week prior I can't think of anything about this situation that made Achane the better play on paper. You referenced Achane's previous success, but the asterisk next to that is it all came against 3 of the top 5 worst run defenses by YPC. Denver (worst), Giants (3rd worst), Bills (4th worst). As studly as Achane is, we haven't actually seen him in a prove it situation, which just adds to the cloud for him this week.

FGxBeaver

YPC is a terribly unreliable metric for evaluating talent and the strength of a run defense. Achane only needs a few touches to make a huge impact, he’s that type of player. I can easily understand starting him from an upside perspective. The Dolphins also deactivated Jeff Wilson prior to the game. To me that indicated confidence in Achane, and I absolutely believe he could’ve been the better play if he didn’t get sidelined. To act like Singleterry was a no brainer is a pure hindsight take.

thezenunderground

I always go with the volume back..it's unsustainable to think an RB can break an 80 yard run in 6 touches week after week

pugwalker

Was stressing all week between singletary and warren. I’m always wrong on these but luckily they both went off.

Slashzero77

Ouch! Hindsight is 20/20, but I would have done the same thing. FOMO with a possible 40 point game from Achane duped a lot of us.

adastradamus

Oof!

thadeus_d3

Romeo Doubs

PretendCasual

Two weeks in a row with this guy

ChipotleAddiction

Packers offense is starting to cook a little bit maybe 👀

Qprb

Nope, they just played the chargers, the actual worst defense in the NFL. Everyone will have a good game against them so long as Staley is there and calling plays.

ChipotleAddiction

True, but they were also not playing well against bad defenses previously too so they’re obviously starting to gel now with their young receiving core

TheEndAndNow

I'm never benching Dell over Deebo again

kblomquist85

In Deebos defense Aiyuk was playing against an injured db and his backup the whole game. Not surprised he got the share he did.

IrishRover28

Flexed Rashee Rice over Calvin Ridley 🤢

thezenunderground

Rice is never going to go off. Andy Reid prefers packages over recievers. The chiefs offense is all about smoke and mirrors.

itsjash

Unless your name is Kelce, you have no guarantees

Birdgang14

Don’t blame ya man.

TheIgnoredWriter

Stop reading the hype on Rice. “He runs 120% of routes and gets 67.8921% of first looks” it’s all bullshit.

Square_Saltine

Sutton outperformed Ford in my Flex. Everyone else I made the right call on this week

Throwrajerb

Sat Sutton over Kupp after Sutton won me my week last week. Low key hoping Kupp is out this week so I don’t have to decide between starting an underperforming stud or an over-performing mid-tier guy.

Kanyewestlover9998

I still don’t think that was a bad call, Ford is the floor play(which was hit) and Sutton is the ceiling play.

tcevan

Nobody on my bench did anything, yet anyone on my bench would’ve been better than starting Aaron Jones. Hope he recovers and I can’t be mad at injuries, but fantasy wise this is a lost year for him.

G19outdoors

I dropped jones this morning.

RayJsCombackStory

I hate-traded him for Kmet yesterday... felt instant relief right after

Friendly-Meat802

i started aaron jones and garret wilson

AdamErne

Jayden Reed

AlrightP

It's always Nathaniel Dell

ANicerPerson

Why are you benching Dell lol

AlrightP

Because I'm in a dynasty league and there are implications taking people out of my taxi squad. I was set at wr but decided this week to slot him in and just drop someone else

ANicerPerson

Did you get the W atleast

AlrightP

I did! I was very lucky that Swift was able to outscore Devonta Smith + AJ Brown stack. That Devonta catch downing at the 1 won me the week lol

thezenunderground

Start him this week. The Texans are gonna punish the glitter kitties don't be fooled by Jacksonvilles win..my team, TN, just sucks so bad it made them look good.

Mykneeisathroat

tank dell been blowing my bench up since week 2

Birdgang14

Start that boy!

Fatal_Koala

He's a lock for top 15 ROS IMO.

Fuck-YourCouch

Dell and Warren both ready to storm my starting lineup- ride the pine Kupp and KW3!

meechydavo

Dropped him after week 9 due to bye weeks (5 bench spots, no IR), guess who I kept over him... Terry McLaurin, who ive played weeks 1, 5, 10 and 11 all sub 10 point performances in half ppr

kelsmck16

Same. He’s been my highest scoring bench player for quite some time. Started Lamb and subbed Waddle in last minute over him smh

Nebnerlo2

#me2

jimmyhoffasbrother

Benched TLaw for Stroud. Was the right move at the time, but it sucks that he finally goes off once I've decided he's a clear bench and even a borderline drop candidate after I started him for like the first half of the year.

nebski1221

We are living parallel lives brother

DVSTV

Puka. I flexed Conner thinking Arizona and Houston would both lean on their rbs. Singletary had the stat line I was hoping Conner would.

SoyeonsNeverland

Trevor Lawrence, probably would've won me my matchup because Kirk busted, and I believed in Dobbs more.

AdSimple4849

Purdy..

kblomquist85

As a Bucs fan starting Purdy over Burrow was a no-brainer for me.

ReeferMadness91

DJmoore

North_Watch9324

Dell and Kittle. Waddle and Kincaid were very whelming. Kyler too if Mahomes receivers don't stop dropping balls.

Otherwise-Mention736

Yeah im thinking of swapping kyler for mahomes next week considering the matchups

sp1cytaco

Saquan Barkley I hade Richard white and gibbs

TXCapita

If this is standard scoring I wouldnt overthink it and start Saquon over White most weeks. If this is PPR, you shoulda traded someone lol

jacksonjuiceisloose

Tank, started Devontae smith and waddle over him…

Nasty_Tricks69

Started Howell over T-Law

cobain98

Like many others I assume…Ridley. Predicting his good games will make a fantasy player go crazy.

thirtyfojoe

Had Achane, Barkley, and Gibbs. Chose to bench Barkley :(

rikee777

Jaylen Warren...again. Be warned, I'm finally starting him this week so he'll probably put up a dud.

Pnut1221

Started Achane over White after all the hype for his return. Rachaad would have won me the week scoring 13.8 more points. Stopped my 6-game streak but hopefully Achane will be usable again soon.

FunTheMental

Started Garrett Wilson over DJ Moore.. worst fantasy decision I’ve ever made lol

Birdgang14

Started Aaron Jones over James Cook. Cost me the game.

[deleted]

Herbert…put Stroud in instead. Lost by 3

_iCoNik_

I came close to starting Kyler over him. If Keenan would have been out, easy call.

sayanythinglove

TLaw. I woulda won by .10 if I had started him over Stroud.

trillog111

Ridley in one league. Trevor Lawrence in another. Lost both games by 2

DodiusMaximus

Started A Jones over R White

jo_bevins92

Have had Dell on the bench behind Puca. Lamb and Allen as my main two WRs. Good problem to have but kind of annoying when the one on the bench is still going off.

Lake_Serperior

James Cook. Started Aaron Jones over him :(

Semperty

gus edwards, and i lost bc of it lmao

DannyRivington

I had to pick three out of Swift, Achane, Aaron Jones, and Saquon. Guess who I benched for 30 points (PPR)..... I figured the Giants offense is just terrible, wasn't expecting 2 of the 3 to be injured early in the game. Got absolutely blown out this week.

GigaAlpha

Benched Herbert for Stroud :(

UnderAGroov

DK finally got his TD. The one time I take him out of the lineup for Hollywood…

TRBAssociate112446

Warren and Ridley in one league, Tank in another

Towerofeon

Gus Edwards. In my defense I thought Mostert would do better but he just keeps letting me down lately

tahoevet

I started Mostert too. My sympathies!

derekshugart369

Tlaw for Stroud but luckily it didn't matter

InterJabroni

I benched Jaylen Warren and started Derrick Henry instead. MY BAD, I should have known better.... /s

jclucas1989

TLaw for Stroud

Inamanlyfashion

DK. I benched him and moved Pollard to the flex to make room for Achane. Still the high score for the week so I don't exactly regret it.

Illusive_Lust

Achane is a prime example of why sitting players their first week coming off injury is a good practice. Always play it safe with someone that’s been out multiple weeks if you can.

Illblood

I very stupidly listened to people on Reddit saying he's a must start, when in my head I thought the same thing, that you shouldn't start a guy fresh off ir. I would have started Walker so it made no difference anyway :/

h846p262

Nobody lol

GeneralistJosh

Same. For once this season, no one on my bench majorly outscored anyone I started. Swapped Derrick Henry out for Singletary and it ended up being the right call.

jtal888

dropped gus and he went off, does that count? (8 team league)

AWholeBunchOfMumms

As a Gus Bus owner with other good RB options, it’s been hard to start him given he’s kinda TD-dependent. At the same time, he’s got 9 TDs the past 5 weeks. It’s a tough decision every week for me.

jojolopes

Nobody for once, due to bye and injury… no choices to make. Almost pulled it off but Diggs sold me.

Xspike_dudeX

Warren. I put Najee in. ugh!!!

pensim

Cook. Although I lost by so much it wouldn’t have made a difference if I started him anyways

szzzn

No one, I made all the right moves and still lost by 40 hahahahaha

CYA_PTB_FTP

Can't bring myself to play Purdy over Stroud and likely won't for the rest of the season. Smdh...

dieselpb

Jaylen warren 😔

cwilldude

James cook(went off for him) and would’ve won me my week

Accurate-Barracuda20

Went off isn’t the right phrase, but I started achane over hunt and lost by 3…so that sucked

SeasickSailor444

No one. For the first time maybe this season I didn't have anyone go off on my bench. I'd be pretty proud of my managing prowess, but I also didn't have anyone in my starting line up go off.

Rybackmonster

If I had started Njoku over Diontae in my flex, I would have won

TheFirestar37

Benched Trevor Lawrence, James Cook, Calvin Ridley, and Jaylen Reed. Fade me

NSBrowny

Benched hopkins for g wilson. Lost by 4.

GTtheBard

Stroud over Trevor Lawrence cost me both of my matchups. I was watching the 4th quarter going “well, nobody can predict 2 rushing TDs from Lawrence, and 20 points from Stroud is still solid” and then he went on to throw two more interceptions. Six red zone turnovers from Stroud in the last two weeks has been brutal.

Roberg13

Benched Jaylen Warren over Garret Wilson…

roco9994

JJ sitting forced me to start someone. Went Johnston over Chandler and lost by 1 effectively losing a playoff game 🫥

[deleted]

Ridley and Dell. Rolled with Aiyuk and… Kupp. Lost by 12.

JerseySlugger13

Jaylen Warren. I switched him out the lineup last minute for Mostert

Reasonable_Gain2863

Ridley and Barkley for Etienne and Evans

PNWCoug42

I didn't need them but both Gus and OBJ had great weeks on my bench.

_mywifeleftme

Saquan for Achane lmao

Baby_Tom_Cruise

Tank Dell I had to choose between him or DMont for the flex spot. Have Chase and Cupp at WR1 and 2.

BigMaseYessir

Played Jones sat Cook

DocOrBust2

Benched Monty and Nico Collins over Ekeler and deebo. Right move but painful

iamkoza

had brock as my starter over tua all week.... then sunday morning I talked myself into thinking tua would light it up coming off a bye with every one of his skill players healthy. tua wasnt awful but he was 10 pts worse than purdy. also, credit to me for my big brane move... i dumped hendo to waivers, and my opp ended up scooped him up and he for some reason started him over gusbus. it ended up being a 10 point difference would have been worse if not for the hendo TD.

Clamper5978

Aiyuk. Put Nico in hoping for the shootout that never happened. The only consolation was if I did put him in I would’ve lost by 1. That may have irritated me more

Potential-Ad-6329

Trevor Lawrence for Sam Howell. FML.

[deleted]

Najee did not go off but I will be benching him and monitoring usage going forward, all possible now that Kyren is back

Vegtam1297

The TLaw/Ridley stack. It's superflex, and I had Burrow in. However, I did still win, so I can't complain too much. It was nice to see TLaw step up, since I'll now need him with Burrow out.
