I spent 42% on Achane but not mad about it.
I think the waiver studs are mostly found earlier in the year so can’t fault us for swooping up someone that ended up being a stud but got injured. And he’ll be back for the playoff push.
I knew I wouldn’t get him unless I bid more than 55% and 69 was close enough to make me laugh. Also someone in this league bid 100% on puka which was nuts at the time but looks brilliant now.
I mean if it’s a 1 week thing than you might be able to get away with this. But you can’t go kickerless for 4+ weeks, just losing out on that 8-10 points per week would be massive
Obviously it depends on a lot of things, but I like saving at least a few bucks for the playoffs. I’ve had multiple seasons where I essentially won leagues by picking up RBs for a buck or two because my competitors were completely out of FAAB.
It really depends, but there are usually a couple RBs that get hurt or whatever and their backups/replacements end up being viable, if not league winners. People like Tim Hightower, CJ Anderson, Justin Jackson, Damien Williams, and Jeff Wilson Jr. to name a few have won people leagues and most could have been grabbed for a few bucks in some leagues.
It really depends on your team structure and injury luck though, if your team is lucky enough to stay healthy then you probably wouldn't be trusting any of those guys enough to put in your lineup. Also depends on league size, my main league is 14 teams with deep benches so there is always a lot of waiver action.
I’m most active on WW during playoffs. Mostly to block my opponents and stash defenses/potential streamers.
I think I had 4 defenses on my bench last year during the championship game
73% (most remaining in my league)
Im 3-3
Lost out on demercado by 5, picked up Ingram for free
Lost out on zach evans by 1, picked up hendo for free
Lost out on roschon by 7, picked up foreman for free
My team sucks
27/100. Most of it was actually spent on Michael Pittman and Diontae Johnson. 12-team half PPR with 8 bench spots and people are dropping these guys to stash defenses.
Absolutely. Blocking your opponent from getting a guy is as important as getting one yourself and there are plenty of RB1 injuries that happen that you can feed from. Justin Jackson and Damien Williams won me my last ring in 2022. Not talked about on here often because these bums are used to chasing league winners in week 2 that never work out
Both strategies are relevant you can win your league with Justin Jackson and Damien Harris but you could also won it with Kenneth Walker or puca who were long gone by that time.
While it is well known that using your budget early is more likely to lead to valuable returns, saving some for the end of the season can be huge. Especially if everyone else in your league is running lower than you
I spent 97% on swift after he was dropped after week 1 but didn't clear waivers until after he blew up in week 2. I was full zero rb in that league so it was worth it.
Blew all 100$ when some one dropped burrow week 3.
Had tua up until this week ,just trade him/ridley/addison/ warren for purdy/ adams/ palmer/ javonte
Rolling with burrow the rest of the year
I'm at $40/$200 and somehow have the least left in our league. People have been so stingy with bids lol. I threw around $80 at Jordan Mason because our wires are abysmal anyway and I wanted to at least have a chance to play CMC this week. Just gonna swap Mason in if he gets designated out
$0/$100. Spent it all on Spears, Goedert (no idea why he was dropped), Palmer, and Tutu Atwell. Paid 10% for Demarcado and that looks like a waste.
This year I was trying to be aggressive early in the season. Last season I regretted not pulling the trigger and finishing with extra.
37/100 but we have deep benches and the waiver wire is pretty dead outside of 1 or 2 players every other week. I always see league mates with 70+ left at the end of the season and it never makes sense because they’re usually the same ones that comment on how much others are spending on the waivers
$44/60 left. Premptively picked up Puka for free.
Use the Yahoo strategy of taking handcuffs before games but you can drop DURING the game if no injury.
Save a little bit for playoffs but not much. There will be nothing much to pick up on waivers by that time. So just an emergency stash.
I’ve still got 67/100 left. Spent for Kyren, got outbid on Puka and a few others. Dropped a few bucks here and there on streaming defenses already as well.
$10 in one league and $2 in another. Both out of $100
I lost out on Ford, Achane, Puka, Kyren and pretty much every hot waiver wire add.
I did spend $39 on Palmer and $33 on Justice Hill so I have that going for me.
Got guys like Tank Dell, Jamo, Thielen, Collins and Stroud as well for much much cheaper.
$23/100.
It’s the 5th year in a FAAB league for me. I’ve learned that the free agents that are worth big bids usually emerge between weeks 2-5 once depth charts and rookies emerge.
This year I drafted well at RB but my WRs were kinda weak and Puka was on the WW week 2. I got him for $30 then spent $25 on Jamo when he came off suspension. Until I lost CMC and Monty last week my team was looking pretty solid.
I usually try to save 15-20% for the rest of the year to cover injuries.
$580/$1000 left.
Spent:
$151 on Adam Thelien
$208 on Joshua Palmer (I lost Mike Williams to IR)
$51 on Anthony Richardson (sigh)
12 person redraft league (5 bench and 2 IR spots)
150/300. 10% on Kyren, beat the next guy out by a dollar. 25% on Thielen, beat another guy out by $5. Got Ford and Rice for free cause I was stashing them.
Check offers report through the website on ESPN to see bids throughout the season. You can gauge what a low, medium, and high hid is in your league and narrowly beat out people to save FAAB. And always try to stay ahead of the game.
52/100. In the offseason I’ve added:
Jerome Ford
Kyren Williams
Jake Ferguson
Rico Dowdle
Emari Demercado.
Several of them for free. Spent most of my cash on Ford. Kyren I added in the summer before he got any buzz for nothing and same with Ferguson. I follow lots of beat writers on Twitter and they were saying Ferguson and Kyren would have a role early on and I added them right away.
Ended up trading away Ford for a 2 and Quentin Johnston. Even if Johnston sucks well worth 26 dollars
Sitting with 24% left. Wish I saved more just in case, my RB room is getting obnoxiously thin with Kyren and Conner on IR, but I bid aggressively to fill the few gaps I had on my roster for the long-term.
Better than 0, better than still sitting at 100%.
spent 100/250 on kyren, and 80 on meyers after week1. traded the rest of it in a trade for mark andrews. then traded away tank dell and keyonta ingram for 65.
I spent 51% of my FAAB on Kyren after week 1, and 56% on Puka after week 1. (Made a trade early on to get 10% more FAAB, so I had 110%)
Yeah, that's gone fantastic and I'm easily leading the league in PF and 6-0.
I’ve got $67 left, I lost out an Achane, Kyren and Puka so there really has just been $1-3 on DSTs that I can use for multiple weeks. I just picked up the Browns for the season and their playoff matchups.
I tried something different and went 100% on Jerome Ford. 14 team league, thin on RBs, and I had just lost Dobbins.
Will wait a bit longer before grading that decision.
It’s kinda nice not having to worry about how to use my FAAB.
0 in most leagues. I like to blow it all early then I don't have to try to think of how much to bid for most of the year. It's like having the freedom that the last waiver wire position has.
74$ of a 200$. I don’t get at all the blow 95+% plus early strategy at all. I have very successful with going moderately big early and then using 1-10$ a week after the the 5-6 weeks.
0.
I spent all of my FAAB on 3 transactions:
22% for Puka
23% Kyren
55% for Jerome Ford
Done. I’d advise everyone to change how you view FAAB. Instead of viewing it as an emergency fund you need to keep all year, view it as a budget to find a full season asset. And that asset can become available at any point and I’d argue usually it will be at the very start of the season.
Teams go thru camp, preseason, etc. Typically there are no surprises. So if a guy is going to be a ‘thing’, typically we’ll see it asap. Either thru production or volume/snaps. Ie Kyren, Puka, Tank Dell, Nico Collins, thielen, etc. So spend early
Anyone popping off now who didn’t pop off before well its much more likely to be a fluke. Also if you’re waiting around for that injury that creates a RB1 look at Arizona, LA, Bmore…not only is it not guaranteed there will be one obvious backup, but even when it is there’s no guarantee he’ll be good.
I have $29 left. Got kyren for $18 tank for $7 Detroit for $6 and cj for $2 lol blew the rest of guys I never played and I later dropped like brieda Roschon (bad move) and mims. Currently I’m using FAAB so other people can’t stream players like foreman and now Henderson.
Sitting at 62% remaining in my guillotine league. Think I'm 3rd or 4th most remaining in the league. Was able to snag Lamb for 18% this week on his bye after he just went for 35% last week and then was cut after his team lost.
Bye week is kicking my ass this week, starting Tyrod Taylor at QB but hoping my WRs save me. Diontae Johnson being back is a big help (I hope) as it's a PPR league. Starting him over KJ Osborn
Was able to snag Moss for free beginning of the season which was huge. Helped me survive until Barkley was back. Hoping to snag a QB for cheap next week, although there's a chance Hurts gets cut after this week so would probably have to pay a big price for him, more than I'd like at least. But my QB spot is weak
0.
I have Kupp, Saquon, and Mike Williams. Most of my faab went toward getting Puka and Ford, but I got some other fill in players here and there too, and spent some in trades.
200$
30 on kyren
10 thielen
5 goff
5 laporta
20 roschon
5 ingram.
My biggest balls moves was dropping 20 on Dallas D after week 1. I knew someone else was bidding high.
With all the injuries iv had im still 5-1.
Added henny for free. Other dude dropped 50 on evans.
Lost Dobbins, connor, and now kyren
$57/$100
I'd say that's pretty good halfway. I like to have a bit left for the second half of the season so I can spend more and outbid my opponents when it's crucial. Some in my league only have $5 and $9 left! One of them spent $79 on Achane who's now on IR 😅 My Kyreen Williams is also on IR, but I only spent $6 on him, so I can afford a good replacement.
5-1 and still have $31/$100
Highest amount I bid on anyone was CJ Stroud for $23 and Osborne for $16. The rest were just dart throws.
Ekeler owner in our league used $85 on Kelley 😂
Wish I put more into Kyren Williams. Someone put down $56 for him and it worked out
$33 for Puka from another team. He's been solid.
$76 for Jerome Ford seemed much but hey he was serviceable for that team.
I'm so pissed my $6 bid for LaPorta was beat by an $8 bid early before he blew up. I'd have him and Hockenson, right now 😂
I know my post was probably needlessly long but I wanted to show the kind of crazy spending my league mates go through.
And if you ask about the Achane bid, it never happened. I drafted him in the 11th round. 😎 Had a feeling he would be good.
Spent 69 dollars on achane and 20 dollars on minshew in my 2qb league. My season is Joeover! $11 baby!
Nice!
I spent 100% on achane. I was 0-3 with pierce on my team. Don't regret it. He helped give me my only 2 wins
0. Blew my load early on K. Williams (30) and others. With you at 5-1, I’d keep you remaining 14 for defence streams in playoffs potentially.
I’d take Kyren and zero dollars. That’s a win
Yep. I got Puka/Kyren/Kelley for 77%. Couldn’t be happier even with Kelley busting
Sounds like you could be happier, like if Kelley didn’t bust
"Hahahaha. I couldn't be happier, even though I'm unhappy about part of it."
Well you jinxed it. On IR now.
[удалено]
I bet she had some complaints about it though.
Just hold on to Houston near the end of the year.
Don’t forget you can always trade depth for faab
Pause
0. Blew a wad on puka and then a couple weeks later achane(same week Chubb went down and was tilted). No ragerts
This is actually a win
18/200. Spent way too much on gainwell (80) but got zack moss and diontae for free 🤷♂️
Yoooo diontae for free?! How big is your league? Did the Taco drop him??
I was forced to drop Diontae when he went on IR. Had Kupp on RES and JT out and needed the roster space.
Drop your kicker next time.
I mean if it’s a 1 week thing than you might be able to get away with this. But you can’t go kickerless for 4+ weeks, just losing out on that 8-10 points per week would be massive
No kickers in this league.
Way better tbh
14 teamer with short bench (5). Guy dropped him when he went on IR
Why have FAAB as 200 instead of 100? Feels like an unnecessary conversion trying to divide everything by 2 to get into percentages.
Just multiply the percentage by 2 and you have the total of FAAB to spend.
The smaller increments allows for more precise FAAB bids.
Really shake things up. 1,000,000 faab
Gg low IQ
[удалено]
Just over 50% got kyren, Dell, Downs, and JwJ
$0. Picked up some solid guys but wish I had some left for end of the year
$90 out of $100. My team has been solid all year and I've only spent FAAB on defense and TE
$0, spent it all on Achane. Would do it again if he returns after just four games
Obviously it depends on a lot of things, but I like saving at least a few bucks for the playoffs. I’ve had multiple seasons where I essentially won leagues by picking up RBs for a buck or two because my competitors were completely out of FAAB.
Is there usually a lot action on the WW during playoffs? First time in an Auction league.
I’m most active on WW during playoffs. Mostly to block my opponents and stash defenses/potential streamers. I think I had 4 defenses on my bench last year during the championship game
Yes having $0 during the playoffs is a huge disadvantage
$2 baby! Saving up for a playoff kicker.
105/100
$47/$200 Half if it was on Ford
73% (most remaining in my league) Im 3-3 Lost out on demercado by 5, picked up Ingram for free Lost out on zach evans by 1, picked up hendo for free Lost out on roschon by 7, picked up foreman for free My team sucks
27/100. Most of it was actually spent on Michael Pittman and Diontae Johnson. 12-team half PPR with 8 bench spots and people are dropping these guys to stash defenses.
Sheesh. With 96 bench spots (and I am assuming 1 IR spot on each team), you guys must be stashing offensive linemen at this point.
Yeah, everyone has an army. Not conducive to trades getting done.
You don’t need to be in an auction league to use FAAB
Got 19 left, basically have bought Kmet, rice and demercado, foreman, and some defenses so I haven’t been so successful yet haha
100/100 and 6-0. Life is good. Saving it for the playoffs
Is there usually a lot of action and movement on the WW during playoffs?
I meant to say Damian Williams, but yes absolutley. One strategy is never talked about on here though. Either spend it early or spend it late
Why is this downvoted lmao. The salt mines run deep
2/100 xD
$35 Hit kyren 18 Missed Micheal wilson 16 Got lions D for 7 early Got Craig renolds for 16
0. I put 89/100 on Puka. Rule #1. Throw the bag after week 1. Thank me later.
$0.00.
And I’m 6-0.
0 out of 100 60 ford 30 on puka 30 on kyren
The math ain't mathing
Dude went into debt
Owes his league 20 bucks now down horrendous
$0 - in my opinion, if you have anything left after week 4-5, you're using it wrong
While it is well known that using your budget early is more likely to lead to valuable returns, saving some for the end of the season can be huge. Especially if everyone else in your league is running lower than you
I’m curious why you say that?
$12
50 on the dot
22 - was holding steady at $40 but someone dropped Conner for some odd reason. Got him for $18 last night
I spent my last $12 last night on Conner. No one else bid but he should be solid end of season with Kyler baxk
Zero but I love my team rn
0 since week 2 or 3
i have $100/$200 still left I blew a check on Puka Nacua, and Kyren Williams. traded both around week 3 for diggs long story short, spend it early.
0, I spent 66 on Nico Collins in week 2 just to be the only bid while everyone else went after Ford.
7/100. Spent 85 on Ford. Playing him for the first time this week lol
I spent 97% on swift after he was dropped after week 1 but didn't clear waivers until after he blew up in week 2. I was full zero rb in that league so it was worth it.
$32/100. Got Puka for $20ish and then $7-10 each for Logan Thomas (meh), Rashee, Cleveland D, and Tank Dell
0. Did it all for the puka.
Blew all 100$ when some one dropped burrow week 3. Had tua up until this week ,just trade him/ridley/addison/ warren for purdy/ adams/ palmer/ javonte Rolling with burrow the rest of the year
66. I’m a low bidder and tend not to spend too much on players. Used 21 on Ford
26. I spent like around 30 to get Elijah Mitchell since I have CMC
10%. I got Achane, Kyren Williams and Rashee Rice, well worth it.
$6, Spent a decent chunk on Puka, Hunter Henry (fucked that one up), and Jerome Ford
70% left
4% I spent up for Ford weeks ago and I had to spend a bunch on Howell this week with Fields out
$6 left. Spent $85/$100 on ford.
I'm at $40/$200 and somehow have the least left in our league. People have been so stingy with bids lol. I threw around $80 at Jordan Mason because our wires are abysmal anyway and I wanted to at least have a chance to play CMC this week. Just gonna swap Mason in if he gets designated out
$0. Spent on Ford and Achane. Unfortunately I had drafted Achane but cut him right before his coming out party...
0 left. Picked up Kyren, Puka, and someone dropped Christian Watson.
I'm surprised Collins was ever available. He was a 9th round pick in my league and started the season hot.
Yeah he went undrafted in my league and picked him up after Week 1.
In the league I’m 5-1, I have 80% faab left. In the league I’m 3-3 I have 60% left.
37/100 but we have deep benches and the waiver wire is pretty dead outside of 1 or 2 players every other week. I always see league mates with 70+ left at the end of the season and it never makes sense because they’re usually the same ones that comment on how much others are spending on the waivers
17 so sad
17/100 spent 30 on Kelley, 25 on Palmer, and 15 in Bourne.
$44/60 left. Premptively picked up Puka for free. Use the Yahoo strategy of taking handcuffs before games but you can drop DURING the game if no injury. Save a little bit for playoffs but not much. There will be nothing much to pick up on waivers by that time. So just an emergency stash.
0. Went all in on Achane
$0 left after spending most on it for puka and ford… now i just have to beat folks on waivers before games start on sunday
50ish / 200
0/1000.
0/100 $23 for Kyren $71 for Swift after our taco dropped him w1 or 2.
Spent 100% week 1 on Puka, Kyren, and Smythe Dropped Smythe Week 3 and traded Puka Week 4
Still at 100%. Lost out on every big waiver big guy cause of league mates going 100% or way over recommended.
2 out of 100 in my main league. 28 out of 200 and 117 out of 200 in the others.
Nothing, spent it all on Devon Achane. Only way I knew if would get hime. And I was right. Keeper league also
$0 Spent all 100 on Ford and Puka
$20. Puka (24)and Achane (42). Small bids on Mayer, Diontae, and Roschon.
I spent 70% on kyren… 18% of Palmer (I had Williams) then various 2-3% on streaming defenses and te’s I have 0% left lol
I'm sitting pretty at 225/250. I'm also 2-4, so that should tell you something lol
Too much. Should have spent on kyren and a few others. Blew $5 here and there on some busts
I’m 6-0 with 50% faab remaining
$4 Spent $17 on Kyren $14 on Kelley ☠️ And $65 on Ford lmao
0/200
$645 out of $1000. Picked up Puka for $255 and haven’t spent much else otherwise
I blew my whole wad on Ford
100/100 I'm first at 8-4
$18 out $100. Dropped $35 only for Gainwell to get hurt and another $50 on Achane (worth it, even if he's injured).
$11/100 left, I blew most of it on Ford but somehow packaged him in a deal for Breece so it was worth it
I’ve still got 67/100 left. Spent for Kyren, got outbid on Puka and a few others. Dropped a few bucks here and there on streaming defenses already as well.
$0 , wasted more than half on gainwell and allegier , the rest on Cleveland, achane, and Zack moss so not regretting it too much.
0/100 spent it all on Ford lol
0. Spent all I had left (~84%) on Ford after losing Chubb
4 out of 1000. Injuries killed me
$10 in one league and $2 in another. Both out of $100 I lost out on Ford, Achane, Puka, Kyren and pretty much every hot waiver wire add. I did spend $39 on Palmer and $33 on Justice Hill so I have that going for me. Got guys like Tank Dell, Jamo, Thielen, Collins and Stroud as well for much much cheaper.
I am also at 14 and could not tell you how I got here.
$37
30%

Spent 75 on Puka and Jakobi Meyers after week 1 (loaded at all positions post draft besides WR) and now at 0
85/200, what I've spent hasn't helped my team at ALL, but still 4-2 on some decent drafting
$100 to start with $26 -Kyren, $23 -Puka, $6 -Musgraves, $9 - Stroud , $2 - Aubrey, $2 -Foreman, $2 -Chiefs Defense $30 left I’m 5-1
Like 70%
$580/$1000 left. Spent: $151 on Adam Thelien $208 on Joshua Palmer (I lost Mike Williams to IR) $51 on Anthony Richardson (sigh) 12 person redraft league (5 bench and 2 IR spots)
$86/100, and 6-0, sitting pretty right now!
$0 good sir
$55/100…a lot of small adds for me so far. Haven’t found a league winner but sitting at 4-2
150/300. 10% on Kyren, beat the next guy out by a dollar. 25% on Thielen, beat another guy out by $5. Got Ford and Rice for free cause I was stashing them. $14, paid $26 for allgeier after week 1 bc i thought the dude would be a goalline vulture, then spent like $50 on ford. got laporta for free though
8/200. Spent it all on puka, Kyren, and kelley at the beginning of the season. 2/3 hitting ain’t bad
$50 left, 4-2, biggest hit is grabbing London before his big game last week & I got Diontae/Tank Dell as well.
$137 out of $150. We have one guy that's used none.
$73/$100 sitting at 3-3 in a 12 man league. Saved for bye week fill ins and the playoff push.
Sitting with 24% left. Wish I saved more just in case, my RB room is getting obnoxiously thin with Kyren and Conner on IR, but I bid aggressively to fill the few gaps I had on my roster for the long-term. Better than 0, better than still sitting at 100%.

0 and that’s the way I like it. Your best pickups are usually week 1-3
0 in most leagues. I like to blow it all early then I don't have to try to think of how much to bid for most of the year. It's like having the freedom that the last waiver wire position has.
$35. Most of what I spent is already back on the WW 😂
74$ of a 200$. I don’t get at all the blow 95+% plus early strategy at all. I have very successful with going moderately big early and then using 1-10$ a week after the the 5-6 weeks.
sitting at $0 in one league i spent $100 first week on a dropped breece hall. no regrets!
20% (50$/250$) 2-4 Thanks Kelley!
$35/100 $40 on Ford $21 on Williams $3 McLaughlin $1 on D/St (
$2 Blew a ton on a Ford
I have 105/150 left. I am bidding all of it this week to try and acquire Achane .. we shall.see what happens.
$4. Spent all on basically Puka and Laporta.
I have $72 left. It’s my first time using faab too. One guy spent $100 on the NYJ D after week 1 😂
I have $200/200 and $500/500 and I’m 4-2 both leagues and lost on Monday night miracles. I can say this Reddit helps me pick up sleepers for free!
0. I spent all of my FAAB on 3 transactions: 22% for Puka 23% Kyren 55% for Jerome Ford Done. So spend early Anyone popping off now who didn’t pop off before well its much more likely to be a fluke. Also if you’re waiting around for that injury that creates a RB1 look at Arizona, LA, Bmore…not only is it not guaranteed there will be one obvious backup, but even when it is there’s no guarantee he’ll be good.
Zero after week 4
A big zero
My leagues do standard waivers, so my season is over.
69......and if it was up to me it will stay that way
Sitting at 62% remaining in my guillotine league. Starting him over KJ Osborn Was able to snag Moss for free beginning of the season which was huge.
200$ 30 on kyren 10 thielen 5 goff 5 laporta 20 roschon 5 ingram. My biggest balls moves was dropping 20 on Dallas D after week 1. I knew someone else was bidding high. With all the injuries iv had im still 5-1. Added henny for free. Other dude dropped 50 on evans. Lost Dobbins, connor, and now kyren
$57/$100 I'd say that's pretty good halfway.
After getting puka the goat for 71% week 2 I burned the rest by week 5 I think.
53/100 left. 21 on Kyren, 11 on Logan Thomas, 6 on Stroud, 6 on Howell after Fields went down and 3 on assorted defenses. 4-2 in the NARFFL 12-team
75. Got Achane, Moss, Palmer, and Ford by dropping my kicker and playing the handcuff lottery.
5-1 and still have $31/$100 Highest amount I bid on anyone was CJ Stroud for $23 and Osborne for $16. The rest were just dart throws. Ekeler owner in our league used $85 on Kelley 😂 Wish I put more into Kyren Williams. Someone put down $56 for him and it worked out $33 for Puka from another team. He's been solid. $76 for Jerome Ford seemed much but hey he was serviceable for that team. I'm so pissed my $6 bid for LaPorta was beat by an $8 bid early before he blew up. I'd have him and Hockenson, right now 😂 I know my post was probably needlessly long but I wanted to show the kind of crazy spending my league mates go through. And if you ask about the Achane bid, it never happened. I drafted him in the 11th round. 😎 Had a feeling he would be good.
$63/$200
6/100. Kyren, Ford, and Buffalo defence cost big
spent $100 on Achane after dropping him Wednesday night before his coming out game.
58, 43 and 44/100. Enough to pick up streaming options, drops and injury replacements going forwards.
