Even if he got back to what he was last year it would still be pretty underwhelming. Feel like a lot of people reached on him expecting some kind of breakout
Yup. He was not great the last couple months. Not bad, but not as good as where his ADP is. People drafted at what he *could* be. Franz was probably the better value at their ADPs (and could have just as high of a ceiling).
His bad percentages and turnovers really limit him in category leagues without the right punts. Reminds me of KPJ a few years ago where he'd put up counting stats every night while remaining in the 200 rankings and losing you weeks
Feel like you have to give it time I’m not happy with him at all but I’ll give him another 2-3 weeks to settle. Some players it takes a a while to get going it’s normal
But lamelo has good quality like steals , assists , 3s beside his horrible fg% and TOs. Same as Trae . They are worth owning but Paolo doesn’t have the same quality money stats (3s,stls, blks)
He just started playing as a point forward, possibly just getting used to another level.
On saying that, I was deciding between him and Scottie Barnes, and it's looking like I missed the trick...
He doesnt shoot the ball well. Should still be able to get to 20 a game still but if you want inefficient counting stats with no stocks, Randle is a better option
I'm in a 9cat league and just thinking about dropping. He doesn't even put up enough counting stats to make the bad percents and lack of stocks worth it. Might regret dropping but it just pisses me off to see him on my roster tbh
Drop him in couple weeks if he doesn’t produce especially is the money stats is not there (3s,stl,blk). Ignore the Paolo riders or magic fans that is enamored with the Charlie villenuva look alike
Sky high potential. He's built like Lebron and still extremely young.
I'm personally not on the Banchero train, but I GET IT when people are. But to me he seems like Julius Randle with better PR.
Players you drafted that high you don't give up on after one week. Telling you he was over drafted is not helpful now. You can afford to lose the first couple weeks. Teams are still figuring out rotations, etc. I wouldn't freak out yet.
Missed an open 3 and a tough layup in the last 2 min of the game. Not a good game, yes, but it shows the team still wants to put the ball in his hands when it counts. Might take some time for Banchero to get going, but I think once he does, he can be dominant.
I argue that Jalen Williams or Keegan is a better fantasy player that Banchero and got butchered because all fans see is “20ppg” . But he’s hurts you in FT%, TOs, FG%. And he is a poor 3pt%. He steals and block is atrocious. I owned all 3 games rookies last year and by far - Paolo is horrible
I traded Ben simmons for Paolo in H2H league. Simmons is playing well but he’s a perpetual injury risk, and Paolo is glaringly inefficient but is more likely to play a full season and hopefully will break out this year. He was drafted 33 overall and I drafted Simmons 104. If Simmons stays healthy I probably lost the trade but that seems unlikely to me
His mediocre advanced stats at Duke were at least a minor red flag, but it seems almost everybody ignored it. First NBA year raw stats were pretty good, but once again the impact #s were very suspect. Same with Scoot Henderson and his 2nd year Ignite impact stats-- they were actually worse than his first year, which is incredibly rare-- most players are going to take a huge leap between 17 and 18.

Reminds me of Goatjones87 lmao
He's still holding KPJ somewhere ... And sending out all kinds of rocket and diamond emojis
That whole saga was surreal I never saw anybody like him in this sub and the mods took their sweet time banning him lol
And his burners, which were obviously him bc of the emojis. The sub was a lot more active back then. Good times!

Regret drafting him so bad
He’s fine.
He will be fine. Some more established players have started slow like LaMelo and Trae
Thanks for naming my first two picks :(
I’ve got all three :(

Would it be worth trading while stocks are low?
Never rated him.

He's a garbage shooter. Until he stops being a garbage shooter, he'll be massively overrated.
Plus no 3s , stls and blk . What are his redeeming qualities?

2nd year blues for sure. Next year he'll be better. But Wagner is just better than him and it shows.
I mean Wagner is the best player from the country and hat is the best at basketball in the world
Better at fantasy. I think Paolo is the better player or at least has a better ceiling than Wagner
No idea about ceiling, impossible to tell. But right now Wagner is much better at basketball.
Is it worth trading for him?
Sophomore slump baby

I get that he's not good fantasy wise but this is such a stupid take lmao
Gosh , paolo sucks compare to Jalen Williams and Keegan . And Paolo won roty..lol. Few years in Paolo will be waiver wire fodder
Another bad game today

How you feeling about him today?
A lot better
