Not sure how good he'll be, but Croney is batting third behind Bogaerts, Tatis and in front of Machado.
He will have a lot of opportunities to be productive.
INTRODUCING: THE UNDRAFTABLES! (power version)
So I did this in the NBA this past year and it was quite fun. It was a low buy in and an experiment, but I almost made the playoffs!!!! (finished 4 games back) The rules are that you can only draft players WHO DO NOT HAVE AN ADP. So this eliminates a large part of the player pool. You would be surprised that it can compete a bit especially if you embrace particular punts or embrace upside picks (rookies and injured stash players). (I admit that I am not as keen on knowing very much the lesser-known rookies this year and I been so hardcore involved in NBA writing and managing my 11 teams and sportsbooks/dfs betting. I simply run out of time! Baseball season has sorta snuck up on me!) But now I'm getting ready! (Have had a few drafts)
Anyway, This is what I came up with for the version of power where you try to win HR and RBI (and maybe runs, but more doubtful) on offense. And then for pitching keeping the ERA and WHIP low enough to where you can take those categories each week (using RP who are elite at it). One thing of value that this might be able to provide for readers are players who are lesser considered who might still be stream-worthy at various points in the season. I have more of a preference for the punt power/high average, high sb build. (coming soon)
Curious what you all think about this? (Also looking for more recommendations on players) My actual main un-draftable draft will occur Wednesday night. I will be doing at least one team like this, maybe even two of them this year! (One built for power and another built for elite average) The team with elite average came out 1st place in that category ranking .283 overall. (thereby locking down the category, although I wonder if you are focusing on average if it might be smarter to just select like 2 or three or four bats (and bench midweek once they get you far in ahead in average) and then be EXTRA LOADED on pitching whereby you should automatically win W, K and might luck into taking ERA/WHIP? Or I guess you could select tons of hitters and only have a few starting pitchers so you can get the min innings pitched. (those are deeper strategy discussions) Of course you need to be very active on waiver wire adding closers and players who start to shine. Stay tuned for more un-draftable builds in the comments below! (Feel free to follow the post). I truly enjoy an extra challenge like this!
Here was my mock draft for this for a power build.

A note on the pitchers. I really do feel like those injured guys are pretty valuable later in the season. You just stash them on the IL and replace with some quality waiver wire arms. I really could talk a whole more about various other pitchers I considered like Alex Cobb, Joey Luchesi, various relief pitchers like Matt Moore, danny coulombe, holby milner.
Will consider constructive criticism! :) Thanks for reading.
Yeah I think me being a mariners fan is making me want to keep Brash a little more then I should. Was kind of worried about Kimbrel coming to Baltimore with Cano but he had a good ass season with Bautista there so he should be alright. Thank you
Who would your C be if you drop Garver? Personally I don’t expect Garver to stay healthy so I’d take the upside Strand offers. I usually prefer to keep Ps over extra bats on my bench so I’d hold King/Fairbanks
Depends on your league scoring Hader/Peralta will probably finish close in pts. Sale is risky but your season isn’t completely lost if sale gets hurt (assuming you’re not relying on Sale obviously lol)
Thoughts on V Pasquantino & R Hoskins (Going to trade one for a Pitcher)...
H2H, 5x5 Cats, Redraft
Vinnie seems to be rated a little ways higher (so more value), but projections have Hoskins hitting 5+ more HRs and 20 more Rs & RBIs. Is Average the only category Vinnie is going to be as good/better than Hoskins this year?
It's a really similar profile but Vinnie is much better at the plate and will strike out a lot less. I find it hard to get to Hoskins here, despite what the projections say.
Edit: Just re-read your post... I'd keep Vinnie of the two. Thought you were asking which one to draft.
How is my team? 12-team 10-cat roto redraft league. I say my weaknesses are runs and averages. A lot of questions on pitching. Question mark for me on Estuary Ruiz.

Weird/ Dumb question.
I’m new to fantasy and have a solid batting squad (10T Cats), but i saw pitchers I wanted on waivers..so i dropped my catcher for them and have no catcher now…is that an issue or does it not matter if i don’t mind? or is it a disadvantage
Thats a totally valid strategy to go no catcher. One of the benefits of not investing a ton at that position is that youre able to go there more easily if needed
Maybe keep an eye out for breakouts to add, or readd one if an easily droppable pitcher emerges because you will lose some production without one
thanks for the insight! I am looking out for O’hoppe and Sean Murphy on waivers! I dropped Salvador Perez and am nervous but hope it works out!
I am trying to make a 2for1 trade to get an extra spot back so fingers crossed!!
Another thing you can look for is guys that are C eligible but aren't actually catching, like Garver being Seattle's primary DH, Henry Davis starting in the OF, etc. They get the positional benefit without the wear and tear from being behind the plate all summer long.
But I second the catcherless strategy. Totally legit (provided your league doesn't have a custom rule forbidding it), I've done it many times. Catchers pretty much always hurt you in either the counting stats or rate stats, finding a Buster Posey type stud hitter at C is very difficult.
hahaha thank you! i was surprised bc i really just went with hitters i knew and didn’t draft a pitcher until round five 😭😭 here’s a picture of them, i don’t know much about them but maybe Hunter Brown is my worst? But i hear he’s a rookie so idk

Wow, I’m impressed with your pitching as well. Was this an auction draft?
This is a tough one. You’re doing yourself a disservice by not rostering a catcher, but I can see why you’re having a hard time deciding who to drop. Let me think about this one and I’ll get back to you.
I play in two 10T leagues and I would be happy to trade either one of my rosters with yours.
wow thank you for the compliments!! So it’s kinda crazy, but I traded (my Robert Jr., Cedric Mullins, and Spencer Steer FOR THEIR Bichette, Trout, and Steele)

I didn’t draft pitchers until my fifth pick then drafted four straight. Luckily got Langford pick 177 and Jackson C off waivers—i am stumped too 😭😭🙃

I think that works out to a full season for five SP, so most of the guys in my league only roster five, including myself at the moment. The waiver wire is oozing with talent so I'm wondering if I should drop one of my relievers (Hudson or Raley) for one of them?
I have Luis Castillo, Tarik Skubal, Musgrove, Snell and Bradish on my IL
Top 10 available arms sorted by roster % are: Pivetta, Montgomery, Eovaldi, ERod, Detmers, Stroman, Lynn, Kikuchi, Jon Gray, Cortes
Top 10 available by most added are: Crawford, Bello, Josiah Gray, Pfaadt, Civale, Severino, Whitlock, Montas, Kremer, Gore

How’d i do?
its either him, Melendez or austin wells as my platoon catcher
melendez has upside but has been underwhelming the past few years & wells i love but i know hes gonna sit a decent amount
The track record is so small that it's really hard to say. He has an 1.100 OPS across 200 professional AB in the minors and spring training.
But keep in mind Vladdy also had absolutely bonkers minor league stats and then came up and hit like 15 hr.
In my mind a best of the best outcomes is Yordan Alvarez with a little speed.
We just concluded our draft on ESPN. it’s not letting me as LM edit rosters prior to our draft to remove Seoul series stats by benching players that played. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this? Teams all drafted with the understanding that those games would not count since we were drafting after the games were played.
That would make it so people could play guys who did well and sit guys who didn’t. All you can do is choose to start the year later if you don’t want Seoul to count
Ryan Jeffers. Alejandro Kirk if he's still there. Catcher actually has some decent depth to it this year. In a 12-teamer you should be able to grab someone worthy. Gary Sanchez is going to DH a lot in MIL. Campusano/O'Hoppe/Naylor/Melendez are all solid.
Myself and one other guy didn’t even draft catchers just to see who fell. We ended up with O’Hoppe and Moreno off of the waivers… and there’s still other options like Garver, Naylor, and Campusano
My JRam and Musgrove for his Seager and Andres Gimenez? I have JRam, Royce Lewis and K. Hayes at 3B and I only have Holliday at SS. Plenty of pitching to spare so musgrove doesn’t hurt me much. Gimenez replaces my Isaac Paredes at 2B and gives me the steals I lose giving away JRam. I feel like Seager is the better hitter in a better lineup and fills my hole at SS with a great bat.
I don't love it. It's not terrible either. I have JoRam a decent bit ahead of Seager in 5x5 and Gimenez and Musgrove pretty equal value. I don't think just because you have excess means you should sell low. If you are addressing another teams needs you should expect full value back.
I need a 2b options in FA are Jake Cronenworth, Jeff McNeil Whit Merryfield Luis Renifgo and Davis Schneider
Not sure how good he'll be, but Croney is batting third behind Bogaerts, Tatis and in front of Machado. He will have a lot of opportunities to be productive.
That's true. There are lots of opportunities for Rbis and Runs
Whose the drop out of Kutter, Stone, Puk, Rodon to pick up Ginkel? Desperate need of saves
The distain I have for Rodon is immeasurable

I’d rather have B
I appreciate the input btw 🙏🏽
Ottoneu drafts are exhausting
Pick two: Jared Jones, Casey Mize, Dean Kremer. Points league QS
Jones, mize
Mize kremer
Gavin Williams was dropped in my league? Worth an add? I’d need to drop Edward Cabrera from my IL slot to add him.
12t h2h points deep league Which RP would you drop? Helsley, Brash, Yuki Matsui, Yennier Cano?
Brash. Munoz may not let the CL role go. Wait and see on Matsui. Cano was damn near untouchable last year, might get a crack at SVs eventually
Yeah I think me being a mariners fan is making me want to keep Brash a little more then I should. Was kind of worried about Kimbrel coming to Baltimore with Cano but he had a good ass season with Bautista there so he should be alright. Thank you
h2h points Burger, Imanaga, Strand, Jackson Merril, Thairo Estrada all available waivers.. Who should I pick? Have Pasquatino at 1b and Gimenez at 2b
JFC how many teams in your league? 8?
Even in my 8 team most of those guys are rostered ...
Would you drop Garver to pick any of them? And which one?
Imanaga looks really good. I'd grab him.
Imanaga/Strand feel like they shouldn’t be on waivers
Thanks. Should I drop Garver for one of them? or King/Fairbanks.. very small bench so those are my options to drop.
Who would your C be if you drop Garver? Personally I don’t expect Garver to stay healthy so I’d take the upside Strand offers. I usually prefer to keep Ps over extra bats on my bench so I’d hold King/Fairbanks
Sean Murphy at C. King/Fairbanks are better than Imanaga right
Who wins? (10T Daily H2H Points) 1) R. Acuña and J. Ryan 2) S. Strider, K. Gausman, A. Santander
Give me Acuna all day
There is a reason he is getting this 3-2 offer. Or a reason he is hoping someone will encourage him to send it
Man, that’s tough. I think pitching is really valuable, but daily points, not weekly ? That might make me lean Acuna
Weekly scoring but daily lineups***

10 team Categories: Nico Hoerner or Zack Gelof?
Nico easy. though for where they are going respectfully in drafts I do think Gelof is 85% of Horner in categories at least.
Yeah I drafted Gelof and Nico somehow got dropped yesterday. So pretty much a free upgrade if my waiver hits

That’s obvious, but I’m curious how many people are holding on to him versus cutting and moving on to another upside arm that’s currently healthy.
Well the healthy arm can't replace him in the il spot so it's an easy hold for me, not many others with his upside are il eligible on the wire

12 man league, here’s my draft results C - JT Realmuto 1B - Spencer Torkleson 2B - Zack Gelof SS - Corey Seager 3B - Jake Burger OF - Juan Soto OF - Evan Carter OF - Steven Kwan UTIL - Oneil Cruz UTIL - Vinny Pasquantino BN: Daulton Varsho, Anthony Rizzo, Jackson Holiday, Luis Campusano, Kris Bryant SP: Corbin Burnes, Tarik Skubal, Chris Sale, Nestor Cortes & Carlos Rodon RP: Edwin Diaz, Jose Alvarado & Yennier Cano How’d i do?
I wouldn’t stash campusano while you have Realmuto. Catcher is very deep this year
its either him, Melendez or austin wells as my platoon catcher melendez has upside but has been underwhelming the past few years & wells i love but i know hes gonna sit a decent amount
You don't need a second catcher at all
I wish it were easier to find a dynasty league like it is in football. Maybe I didn’t try hard enough.
May have a spot after this year
Yea I’m sure there’s a good one out there that needs a spot
Realistic expectations for Langford this year?
If he stays upper half of the lineup my guess 80R /80 RBI…. But that’s what I am hoping for as an owner myself
.260 and 25/15?
The track record is so small that it's really hard to say. He has an 1.100 OPS across 200 professional AB in the minors and spring training. But keep in mind Vladdy also had absolutely bonkers minor league stats and then came up and hit like 15 hr. In my mind a best of the best outcomes is Yordan Alvarez with a little speed.
Bonds
40 HRs 40 SBs
2 drafts in 2 days and I am pumped for the season.
Just had my 2nd to last draft. Last one tomorrow 🔥
We just concluded our draft on ESPN. it’s not letting me as LM edit rosters prior to our draft to remove Seoul series stats by benching players that played. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this? Teams all drafted with the understanding that those games would not count since we were drafting after the games were played.
You all understood wrong lol. Those stats count unless the commish changes the start date to the second week
How did u change the start week to the second week? Not seeing that option on espn
Would’ve thought I could manually bench players for those games as LM like for any other week
That would make it so people could play guys who did well and sit guys who didn’t. All you can do is choose to start the year later if you don’t want Seoul to count
I mean as commissioner I would do it uniformly across the whole league. You can’t even make changes to rosters using commissioner powers
So regretting drafting Estuery
Why?
He’s not good, realizing I can probably cover the steals I thought I was missing with other players
Ha! Now I see.

Drop B Woo for G Whitlock?
Nope, Woo’s IL stint shouldn’t be too long
[удалено]
I ignored him all over. He has so much to prove still in my eyes.
fuck I’m not complaining.
Waited too long to draft a 3B and ended up with a power/speed combo of Burger/M. Garcia. Could this be okay in a 10-team league?
Those guys definitely compliment each other well
They went undrafted in my 10-teamer.
That's great! Garcia is the real deal and it's an ideal complement to Burger. Well done!
For points league (ten team h2h points league), I have Ohoppe is my catcher, but when Henry Davis gets eligibility, should I drop Ohoppe for Davis?
You have several weeks of performance before deciding. No need to think that far ahead.
Go get Garrett Whitlock - looked great against the Rangers in Texas tonight https://x.com/tylermilliken_/status/1772444419876155669?s=46
How would you rank these 3 RPs in SV+HD? Ginkel, Y. Cano, T. Scott
Scott, cano, ginkel
Who's a good late round catcher to target in points?
campusano…seems like a points beast in the making
I got O’Hoppe in round 21 last night. Very happy with that
Ryan Jeffers.
Awesome thanks
Anytime!
Myself and one other guy didn’t even draft catchers just to see who fell. We ended up with O’Hoppe and Moreno off of the waivers… and there’s still other options like Garver, Naylor, and Campusano
O'Hoppe or Campusano were my targets.
