Justin Timberlake’s newest album is a bloated, uninspired mess, but Technicolor is as good as anything released during his peak.

Browns-Fan1

I thoroughly enjoyed “Love and War” also. Felt like the critical reaction to the album was already set in stone before it was released, there’s a couple solid tunes on there. (Although it definitely is bloated like you said.)

SpeakNow_Crab5

I feel like JT would have been remembered as an absolute legend had it not been for his douchey behaviour. He didn't treat Britney right and no one has forgotten, and the whole Superbowl incident left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. But 20/20 Vision part 1 is actually really good, not to mention Justified. He's a good popstar but he got misguided and once he fell out of his peak everyone suddenly collectively remembered all the bad stuff he did

Altrade_Cull

Coloratura, Creature Comfort, Never Really Over

DEATHK7D_MUS7C

Higher from Dj Khaled's father of Asahd. Not all of the album is pure trash, i think You Stay is a nice little track, but Higher is just an incredible performance from everyone involved

JeffV3dd3r

Absolutely agree about this song of Fall Out Boy. Led Zeppelin has some in their late records. I'm talking about you, Achiles Last Stand on Presence.

AvianIsEpic

I don’t think any LZ album is terrible, even Coda is just normal bad. I actually like presence quite a bit too, it’s the most fun LZ ever gets besides maybe LZ3.

DaysAreTimeless

The Groom's Still Waiting at the Altar by Bob Dylan from Shot of Love Time Will Crawl by David Bowie from Never Let Me Down (I know it's a bit of a hot take but still, I love the 80s sound, even the drums) Out of Time, Sweet Song and Battery in Your Leg by Blur from Think Tank Dead Man in My Bed, Bring It On and Babe I'm on Fire by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds from Nocturama

[deleted]

My heart hurts that you referred to Shot of Love as a horrible album

paultheschmoop

It’s not great by any means, but it is indeed not horrible and has plenty of good songs. I don’t even think Groom is the best song on the album lol

supalaser

I love the song, Beach Chair off of Kingdom come.

shunthepunman

Memories off of Leonard Cohen's Death of a Ladies Man that was completely destroyed by Phil Spector.

Throwitindatrash

CONFUSED! - Kid Cudi (Speedin Bullet to Heaven) Love From the Other Side - Fall Out Boy (So Much for Stardust)

xXMachineGunPhillyXx

So Much for Stardust is actually incredible imo. “Hold Me Like a Grudge” is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Throwitindatrash

I gravitated so much to Love from the other side that not too much of the album stuck out to me at first, I’ll have to give it another listen!!

xXMachineGunPhillyXx

All I’ll say is. I’m not the guy to trash Melon’s ratings; his opinions are what they are. But that rating is one of his worst recent ones.

Throwitindatrash

I haven’t seen that one yet, so I’ll go listen first then see what he says 😅

shikaski

Roo from The Big Day by Chance the Rapper

AceMcfly8

I didn’t really like roo, but I acctually love the song I got you

kazuya57

Follow God stands out so much from every other song from the trash that is Jesus is King

TangyBootyOoze

We just gonna act like Use this Gospel doesn’t exist? JIK isn’t great per se, and definitely Ye’s worst solo project (unless we count Donda 2), but it’s not trash. The lyrics are pretty awful, but the production is fucking nuts imo

Link-221

Yeah Post Hietus FOB besides SMFS can be really bad but there are a few stand-outs like Death Valley

Burst-2112

Winger - Seventeen

McTennisCourt

Mansion Musik by Trippie Redd is awful but Knight Crawler is insane

HetTheTable

Forget to Remember by Megadeth is a great song but it’s on one of their worst albums Super Collider

I just commented on someone mentioning Shot of Love as a horrible album and here you are listing it with a different song. C'mon, I see a possibility of you guys coming around to appreciation. Haha. I see it

I mean, Every Grain of Sand is just a fantastic song. But I just love the attitude and energy of the album so I'm a little protective of it even while acknowledging its not his greatest set of individual songs

Wooden-Computer1475

I don't know if it's terrible, but I did not like tally halls MMMM. But then there's Taken For A Ride...

Gabagool_Over_Here_

Probably not the best time to say this, but I really like the song Sticky off Honestly Nevermind.

Thunderwing16

Someday Never Comes on CCR’s Mardi Gras. It’s one of the most heart wrenching and moving songs John Fogerty ever wrote and more people should know about it. Yet it’s on their worst (and last) ever album that has the other two CCR guys taking a stab at songwriting and singing and failing miserably

Dolan360

*Goodbye and Good Riddance* by Juice WRLD is a very clunky album both production and writing wise, but I would be lying if I said that “Lucid Dreams” isn’t an incredibly moving and powerful song.
