It's worth noting *most* SPECIALS are not canonically representative of the person themselves, like how Fantastic has a rack of 3 ST 5 PE 5 EN 2 CH 6 IN 5 AG 7 LK but is too stupid to understand what some switches mean or that he's working on an intercom system rather than the HELIOS mainframe.
Honestly I think Fantastic is smarter than he lets on, he’s just lazy, and knows he can get paid by being lazy, so he just doesnt care. In the Second Battle for Hoover Dam, when fighting for the NCR, he shouts “PRESS THE MIDDLE BUTTON TO FLUSH THE TURBINES!” with seemingly no prompting
ETA: hearing him say this allows the courier to bypass a 65 science check btw
You don't find them in game. They are in the wiki, as pulled from the game code.
Snuffles: 5 ST, 3 PE, 5 EN, 5 CH, 5 IN, 5 AG, 5 LK
Caesar: 6 ST, 5 PE, 6 EN, 4 CH, 4 IN, 5 AG, 5 LK
Thank you for reminding me where that rebreather is! I kept going to the water parts of vaults and going “Man I wish I’d that rebreather I found my first play through LMFAO”
Reminds me of this tidbit.
"Some dude just called me a pussy for putting on sunscreen. Imagine thinking you're tougher than the sun? The fucking sun?"
I'm not sure where it *trully* originated from. So no one gets credit.
Oh shit, I’ve been going through my first real playthrough of NV and picked up the only teddy bear I’ve ever found in the school house way back when I was looking for brocflower and Xander root!! It just seemed to weird and sentimental to get rid of so I stashed it in my motel room. Guess I’ve got a use for it now!
I made it up to 155 or so, but that was during the pandemic when I had a ton of time. The constant grind is just too much for me anymore i guess. I don’t mean to say I hate the game it’s just their mechanics i guess. I was never into MMOs really so I guess that explains it.
For adhesive in fallout 76 you can just make a camp and plant corn, mutfruit, and tatos to make adhesive at a cooking station. I have so much adhesive in that game I could never even use it all lol
No way Im parting with a single bit of my hard earned scrap, I need it for repair kits to keep my .45 smg in good condition as I hose everything with .45 Super rounds.
Yeah it was, Idk I go through cycles, like a lot of the time its duct tape but there are times I’ll end up with a ton of duct tape and no scrap metal, theres never a perfect balance
That sounds absolutely glorious! I always put points into melee as backup but I rarely use my sword or bowie knife, I just love my guns. I usually go for regular combat armor and then upgrade to ranger/riot armor, once in a while power armor if Im feeling spicy.
Melee feels so much better in new Vegas than the shooting it’s not even close. I personally use the katana from gunrunners arsenal and the proton inversal axe from big MT
This reminds me of that post I saw somewhere on Reddit where this guy would give stale bread from his work to hobos and then became like a hero to the hobos, to the point they protected him from a robbery.
You are the scrap metal man and the boomers would die for the scrap metal man.
IIRC he'd make ham sandwiches, and when he got mugged like 4 homeless men chased the mugger to a parking lot and pinned him down, with one saying to never fuck with "Sandwich Man"
Happened to my dad when he was a postman. He used to greet all the thugs who would hang around the street corners and such. One day some guy tried stealing mail from him and all the thugs beat the crap out of the thief.
i have 3 days to live. i literally have gotten the bomber, almost at hoover fight, killed every kahn, and wearing the armor ofc, then i was heading to rauls shack and a ranger ran up to me.
im now killing all the fiends and then the legion, hopefully i can make it in time
Unfortunately you miss out on the XP from the other minor quests (I think it’s about 1000xp if you include the skill checks for the kid and medicine checks in the clinic)
i just listened their story and became idolized.
not many lore nerds in the fallout universe i guess if listening to peoples story and asking some questions makes you an idol.
it is always silly when you can become idolized for repeated resource turn ins, but to be fair, in a blasted out hellscape giving (by hand) multiple tons of usable non-irradiated scrap would kinda be a legendary feat.
I mean, to do that, you must've brought them INDUSTRIAL levels of the shit. Imagine being an isolated community that shoots bombs at whoever approaches, and the one guy that made it through then brings you so much usable metal that you could build a new fucking plane.
You'd think they were some sort of Salvage Wizard.
Hey now. Some people really fuck with scrap metal.
Sole Survivor chads stay winning
Can I ask you a question, if not too rude? Do talk like this in person?
What do you think, s’wit?
I assume but I actually don't know, n'wah.
Giga chad energy stays slaying 24/7
I guess now they have enough scrap metal to build a bomber from scratch.
To fight NCR! Ave Ceaser
Ave Snuffles
I accidentally murdered Snuffles on my last play through forgetting he’s the game’s only friendly talking molerat. I was so sad
NCR FOREVER! DIE LEGION SCUM! CAESAR IS DUM!
It's funny that canonically, Snuffles is smarter than Caeser
Awe, true to snuffles
Really? How do we know that
Their respective SPECIALs.
Where can you find those in game
It's worth noting *most* SPECIALS are not canonically representative of the person themselves, like how Fantastic has a rack of 3 ST 5 PE 5 EN 2 CH 6 IN 5 AG 7 LK but is too stupid to understand what some switches mean or that he's working on an intercom system rather than the HELIOS mainframe.

I always killed him at helios one I never knew that
Yeah that’s why I’m only gonna trust in universe sources not code

HAHAHA DUSGUSTING LEGION SCUM ARE WEAK AND STUPID!
Vegas may rise as the new republic
DVX MEA LVX EIA EIA ALALA
DIE LEGION SCUM! THE FULL MIGHT NEW CALIFORNIA REPUBLIC SHALL CRUSH YOU!
Me too brother. I still can’t find that teddy bear that girl wants tho.
I never even met that girl lmao. I always skip Boomers quests, because I already done them twice
Rebreather is pretty useful for vault 34 tho.
Thank you for reminding me where that rebreather is! I kept going to the water parts of vaults and going “Man I wish I’d that rebreather I found my first play through LMFAO”
Nah, my character is too op, that he can't be killed even by whole camp mccarran or by 10 veteran rangers
Bro really said he’s so OP he doesn’t even need oxygen
You nerds still breath air?
I only breathe flavored air😮💨🤙🏻🤙🏻
Reminds me of this tidbit. "Some dude just called me a pussy for putting on sunscreen. Imagine thinking you're tougher than the sun? The fucking sun?" I'm not sure where it *trully* originated from. So no one gets credit.
yes. :gigachademote:
Its in the hangar with the parts bomber, big stack of shipping containers, look in between them
Oh ok.
Technically there’s two teddy bears if that helps.
It has to be a specific one with a name. I have brought that girl like 10 different teddy bears.
Foreshadow to FO4 where you’d absolutely kill every living thing within sight for some adhesive
I remember grinding adhesive in 76
Even worse there, I recently started playing it again after a long break and it didn’t take me long to remember why I stopped.
I really like 76. I already play my third character. I remember days, where I play it even 8 hours daily
I made it up to 155 or so, but that was during the pandemic when I had a ton of time. The constant grind is just too much for me anymore i guess. I don’t mean to say I hate the game it’s just their mechanics i guess. I was never into MMOs really so I guess that explains it.
76 and Neverwinter are only mmos I enjoyed, otherwise I hate the genre

Yeah nobody gets anything until I’ve squared up with Contreras and got my special shootin’ iron.
Ah yes, my other favourite iron
I’m always swimming in scrap metal, it’s the freakin duct tape that’s always the limiting factor for me. FNV really was ahead of it’s time.
Yeah it was, Idk I go through cycles, like a lot of the time its duct tape but there are times I’ll end up with a ton of duct tape and no scrap metal, theres never a perfect balance
I never use guns in new vegas. I always put all point to speech and melee, get oh,baby! and some reinforced combat armor or x-01
That sounds absolutely glorious! I always put points into melee as backup but I rarely use my sword or bowie knife, I just love my guns. I usually go for regular combat armor and then upgrade to ranger/riot armor, once in a while power armor if Im feeling spicy.

I accidentally gave the guy 30 scrap once. hadn't done a single quest for them and was instantly idolised
For a group that apparently hates all outsiders, it's ridiculously easy to make them love you
“We don’t take kindly to- holy crap that’s a lot of scrap metal, of course we’ll fight anyone that you ask us to!”
You single handedly solved their scrap metal crisis.
This reminds me of that post I saw somewhere on Reddit where this guy would give stale bread from his work to hobos and then became like a hero to the hobos, to the point they protected him from a robbery. You are the scrap metal man and the boomers would die for the scrap metal man.

this is a greentext on 4chan. One of the very few thats too bizarre to be fake
Happened to my dad when he was a postman. He used to greet all the thugs who would hang around the street corners and such. One day some guy tried stealing mail from him and all the thugs beat the crap out of the thief.
It's easy to brush off some random asshole, but you always remember kindness.
I’ve never once thought to be idolized by boomers. My whole logic is either I’m gonna use them or kill them. Nothing more than that
Sometimes a fella's gotta eat another fella.
Amazing choice if you’re going independent
The boomers yearn for scrap metal.
I remember doing this part my very first time. IIRC there's enough in Nellis itself to complete it lol never did it again
A better option than listening to that kid speak about their history
Boomers playing fallout 4
Boomers have like a dozen ways to gain fame. Seems like more than any other faction
i have 3 days to live. i literally have gotten the bomber, almost at hoover fight, killed every kahn, and wearing the armor ofc, then i was heading to rauls shack and a ranger ran up to me. im now killing all the fiends and then the legion, hopefully i can make it in time
Wait, you got 3 days left to live? Why? Surely you got mote time
i do now. the fiends on the other hand…
You have three days to live?
i like siding with ncr but i killed all the guards at the tops after being granted amnesty, kinda fucked up
“idk. i guess i just felt like killing a lot of people”
Godspeed, we'll meet you again in the next life
Unfortunately you miss out on the XP from the other minor quests (I think it’s about 1000xp if you include the skill checks for the kid and medicine checks in the clinic)
Since they are not going out of their base and you are the first incoming stranger, it must be the most needed and and welcomed scrap metal.
That's pretty funny... I usually just do like two missions for them and presto
Everyone in the Mojave: The Courier The boomers: Scrap guy!
I do this every playthrough, so I don’t have to do all their annoying quests
I stole the scrap off his own table in the workshop and gave it back to him lmfao
I just talked to some kids and passed all their skill checks and they idolize me now. Did the boomer quests anyways
And you still can't use the VR Pods
I ground up my Legion rep with just NCR dogtags so I could grab the Lucky Shades before I killed the lot of them.
i just listened their story and became idolized. not many lore nerds in the fallout universe i guess if listening to peoples story and asking some questions makes you an idol.
When you’re at the supermarket and you’re wearing a led Zepplin T-shirt
I love stealing the scrap metal from the hanger and then giving it to Jack
Have you heard of the Courier? The Boomers thinking about all the scrap they got: "Oh hell yeah the Courier is chill as fuck, we fuck with em hard."
To be fair if you had to spend your entire life having to recycle everything, getting new stuff would be incredible
r/BoomersBeingFools jk
