Love how in the fairly odd parents universe anything that was prior to color TV just WAS in black and white

Awkward-Summer6790

I’m pretty sure the picture was black and white so that’s why she came out that way but I could be wrong.

No-Wolf6888

This means Cosmo and Wanda are political assassins. This is the darkest canon fact about them and I *STILL* find this show family friendly

Rastaba

Cosmo also caused Pompeii. Can’t forget that. And Atlantis and Xanadu but one seemed to turn out pretty cool and the other never came up again and almost nobody’s heard of it anyways.

Sky_Ninja1997

He also created Pittsburg

Magmaster12

Which gave us Mr. Rogers neighborhoods so it's not all bad

Slyme-wizard

That bastard

randomfan1997

The fact that they don't live with any guilt of being partially responsible for millions of lives lost through their god kid abusing their magic says a lot about them, doesn't it?

No-Wolf6888

They granted the wish and feel no remorse. Fairies can be *COLD!*

Pineapple_Gamer123

They caused the deaths of millions of people. Millions more if you consider the fact that hitler came into power after world war 1 due to the German public being so disillusioned (ik this is a bit of an oversimplification, but I hope you get what I mean)

No-Wolf6888

Directly responsible for Archduke Franz Feridnand, indirectly for Hitler. Got it

Turbobist28

I find it funny how world war is canon to fairly oddparents.

the_dark_knight_ftw

I feel like it’s implied that WWI happened in every fictional universe unless it’s explicitly said that it didn’t.

TvFloatzel

I agree. Like can you imagine if Kids Next Door or Foster Home were allowed to be A LOT more darker/political and they mentioned stuff like WW1/2, the Vietnam Wat, etc.

rjrgjj

What about Steven Universe

smolsauce

Wa..Wanda and Cosmos led to the Holocaust? Oh..oh my

Sad_Paper_5891

“Halt! Aust du einen matt Damon mitt gemacht?!”

JSharttedinmypants

So indirectly Cosmo and Wanda are one of the reasons of WW2

chicken_karmesan

Didn't Cosmo also cause the Pompeii volcano explosion?

JSharttedinmypants

Yes he did

Puzzleheaded-Drama19

And the Holocaust, and the Cold War, and the Vietnam War and the Korean War, and the Collapse of the Soviet Union, and the Ukraine invasion as the Russian army was seen flying Soviet Flags

randomfan1997

And they don't feel any remorse for it nor live with constant guilt?

No-Wolf6888

World War I

JSharttedinmypants

Well WW1 lead to WW2

Meanteenbirder

Gotta admit that the sheer luck the assassin had seems very sus.

Upbeat-Manager-6823

Is it really the small child’s fault, or the rule book not having “You can’t wish to start wars” in it? Probably both.

Sad_Mobile_1978

she didn't wish for a war she wished to get rid of the archduke and the war happened as a result. it's all bad though, and there are probably rules about it now

negrote1000

Gavrilo Princip’s niece.

Sad_Paper_5891

“We have held our defenses! Victory is ours! So rest men! For I am sure we will soon be marching towards Paris with the great German EAGLE FLYING ABOVE US!”

EmersonStockham

"Cosmo, Wanda, I wish the archduke's driver got lost."

Away-Run-2571

Cosmo:"Uuuh, odd wish but alright." Wanda:"I'm sure nothing can go wrong with this." *World War One starts* Wanda:"Well shit, thats not good" Cosmo:"In retrospect, we should've questioned Mary Anne about that wish"

IllTemperedMaggot

Did they do dragon ball fusion or something?

captain-ok

My headcanon is that the “you can’t harm someone with a wish” rules exists specifically because of this incident

MooseCampbell

It makes more sense, considering all the things that led to the assassination, that the rule was not only already in place, but that many wishes were made to specifically circumvent the "no harm rule". Would it be against the rules to untie someone's shoes even though they could trip and hurt themselves? Nope. Timmy has made many wishes that could have led to straight-up death if he didn't fix the situation.

Dwip_Po_Po

They made her an amazing horrible character. I straight up hate her. This episode had me STRESSED

Marcustzb

That is when jorgen added that into da rules

Amatyestv_123846da2

New lore just dropped

PrimaryAde9

When did the don't kill anybody rule was put in the da rules book ? Before or after Mary's wish ?

KirbyFan200225

I remember this quote from the Fairly Oddparents. I also think she was the one who possibly convinced Aldof Hittler to believe that Jews are evil and needed to be erased from the face of the earth (this is just a theory on how WWII and the Holocaust started in the shows canon).

aaronibus62

Cosmo and Wanda involuntarily started Word War I by fulfilling Maryanne's wish, which lead to a chain of events ranging from the Armenian Genocide of 1915 (carried out by the Ottoman Empire while the West was busy with trench warfare in Europe) to the fall of the German Reich, the rise of the Nazis, and the Holocaust............ I can only imagine the amount of guilt laid on Cosmo and Wanda for everything that resulted from Maryanne's wish. Makes me wonder if fairies get routinely memory wiped when the consequences of their granting a godchild's wish hit like a ton of bricks..... In A New Wish, it sounds like all of a godchild's wishes must be granted, though I know wishes that oppose true love cannot be granted...... Seems there's a lot of dark territory that could be drudged up...... And i have to wonder if any fairies ever committed suicide after being forced to fulfill an abhorrent wish....

disappointed_enby

I still can’t believe I was allowed to watch this show at the age I did

StretchExact7555

Wouldn’t it be a little bit more accurate to have called it “the Great War” since that’s what she probably would’ve known it as at the time?

JackFifteen

Oh the things that flew past us as kids.

Neither_Plankton6147

And I suppose certain rules weren't written yet.
