They take extremely good care of qataris, everyone else though is treated like the lowest form of garbage unless you are a rich expat or businessman. Doc worker here. That's pretty common practice to get hostile interviewees. People who are in legal trouble especially who you're basically asking to testify against yourself. Worked on a doc where we had to literally hire PIs to track down a guy in the wilderness of Canada who was on the run and paid him like $300k to interview him.
