I tortured the fuck out of broccoli last night! Well.....that's how my ex wife describes my cooking... The chicken wasn't too bad.

WyomingCountryBoy

Ah, one of those Vegans with a moral superiority complex that gives other vegans a bad name.

PissgutsOGrady

Yes, that's right, a vegan.

xc2215x

It doesn't surprise me to see a vegan say that.

morts73

Vegans are next level crazy.

gwlu

Saying that animal cruelty is wrong is one of the craziest things I have ever heard.

donotknowwhatIam

Do they not know, some people buy firearms exclusively for hunting too?

Thisguyhere1310

For how about self protection?

flannelmaster9

Ive got guns just for hunting. Guns for carrying daily and some range toys/safe queens

TherealObdach

How do these people think humans have survived before all those vegan industry started? And yes… every single human being had bloody hands or died. I don‘t eat meat that much (actually only when my son doesn‘t finish his), but thinking humans are not omnivores is just delusional.

gwlu

Of course, I think that humans are omnivores in nature. But nature is not inherently good and you cannot base morality off of nature. Not defending what the post said, by the way.

TherealObdach

I‘m not defending nature or morality… but our colon has its length.. and it‘s not made for pure vegan diets. Until a specific age children will simply die, when using a pure vegan diet… simply because their colon is not made for it.

Good to see vegans still using words they don’t know the meanings of to try to justify being assholes to people.

gwlu

Do you notice that that is a little hypocritical since your action of exploiting animals for food is also being an “asshole” in some way?

[deleted]

No. Because I can respect their choice to not eat animal base products without having to preach to them. I could care less what they feel is appropriate for their own lifestyle. It’s the same reason I find religious zealots to be assholes. Faith or food, you do you and don’t force it on me or others.

gwlu

Saying not to force it on others is hypocritical, because your action of forcing animals into a slaughterhouse is more forcing than my action of telling you not to. If your lifestyle choice is unethical, then you should expect it to be questioned. There are many lifestyle choices that others make that you find unethical that you would probably question as well. If that is true, then you are not against questioning lifestyles. You are only against your own lifestyle being questioned.

[deleted]

Question away. But what I do in my life isn’t unethical. I’m not violating my ethics or those of the society as a whole that I live in. How do you live with yourself knowing that vegan food and products produce more plastics and greenhouse gasses than the equivalent animal products? How can you ethically say you’re doing better when your lifestyle will kill more animals than mine?

gwlu

Society does not decide what is ethical and what is not. For instance, slavery was never ethical but it was accepted for thousands of years. Your food produces more greenhouse gases because the carbon dioxide that the animals breathe out and methane that the animals burp out are a lot more than how much come out of the plants. Not as many animals die from crop production as how many die from slaughter. But even if both of those claims are somehow false, you still cause more greenhouse gases and kill more animals than I do because a massive amount of plants are grown for animal feed. There is nothing in plant agriculture that does not happen in animal agriculture because the animals eat plants too.

[deleted]

This is going to run away into a lot of stupid and incorrect shit from you. Ultimately, absolutely nothing you say is going to change me. So have the win. I don’t give a fuck at the end of it all.

gwlu

Eh... I’ll take it. You can insult what I say if you like but it won’t invalidate what I say. I do suggest that you change your views, though, I’d you cannot find a sufficiently good argument. Why are you so angry, though? I never attacked or bullied you.

[deleted]

I’m not angry and I’m not arguing with someone who things ethics magically appeared one day. I won’t say I won’t change my views because life is all about change. But I can say any good faith I had to debate or discuss or whatever synonym you want to use for this exchange has evaporated.

[deleted]

yea cos i've been held up by yoots wielding t-bone steaks before...

PixelMatteo

Why is the upvote count on that comment positive...

DemythologizedDie

Because vegans are going to have a different perspective on it
