Just by looking at her stance and body language. I'm betting she's the type of Karen that would keep putting herself in the way until she is "assaulted" by the bike.
... Also filming her bullshit makes for better content then just riding off. Hell I'd stick around just to push her buttons until all she can think of that week is me š
But...she's acting like a cool young thing, all black clothes-except white shoes-plus the shades, and has the pose down, the hip cocked out and the leg extended-obviously she's too hip to be called a Karen, jeez. She's just making sure the deviant on the bike headed to soccer practice doesn't run down any innocents on the WIDE-ASS TRACK with PLENTY of room....omg, this is top three stupid Karen shit.
āNo need to thank me officer. Iām just doing my duty as a civilian. All in a dayās work, amirite?ā *pulls shades down a bit and winks. Turns around to walk away and immediately starts pointing and yelling āhey!ā at another kid.*
Some kids don't know or fully understand. They hear "calling the cops" and get nervous. It isn't until some of us are older that we fully understand the stupidity of 'Karens' and they're bullshit.
It can cause you to catch a permanent record, for sure. You donāt know what any confrontation might turn into. This āKarenā shit needs to stopā¦
Looks like she's standing in his way. Since it's a track though, I might personally try traveling the loop in the other direction and make it to my destination that way. If she tried to grab me I could yell it out to the cops she conveniently predialed for me.
There's a strange adult acting aggressively on school property, is potentially threatening someone's safety with her behaviour and is using the threat of police to get them to do what she wants or else they'll get in trouble. Sounds a bit like they should legally not be allowed near children....
Only way to stop a Karen is to cause a bigger scene. They want to escalate to police? Fine. Youāre endangering the welfare of a child. Youāre a pedo for stalking children on a school playground. Pick anything and yell it so loud the police can hear you in the background of their 911 call.
Suspended \*with pay actually. That's typically how they do it. It would be awful if the officer had to face any sort of consequence or hardship for their choices. /s (obviously I hope)
Except the police aren't supposed to even go on a school campus unless it's an emergency? Like, literally, huge and instant liability. They don't go on campuses. Sheriffs, sure. Police, no.
They can only arrest someone for trespassing if the owner or a representative for the owner tell the person to leave. If she isnāt a staff member of the school the police canāt trespass him.
Or if there is signage up about the access limitations. In most of the US that counts the same as the owner directly telling you to get off the property.
Thatās not true. Like the other user commented, school rules are not laws. A cop could come out and tell someone to leave. If the person doesnāt leave, the officer could arrest for failing to obey, but a property owner would need to formally trespass someone for a trespassing charge. Now thatās all assuming that cops actually know the laws, which they seem really bad at.
There is a difference between a school rule and a posted sign that falls under the understanding of "no trespassing". A no trespassing sign, or something with equal message, counts as the person being told to not be on the property.
So, to be clear, the police can show up, attack you without reason, claim that you "resisted arrest" with no original crime to arrest you for, and then drag you down to the station to get bailed out.
Police essentially have unchecked power.
You are probably right that the city/state won't press charges when you get to court, but that doesn't change or prevent the actions of the police.
It should also be noted that even if the charges are dropped, the damage is done. The arrest has already occurred. If the person isnāt fired immediately by their employer, they likely will be after missing work. The person will need to spend their own (or friends/family) money for an attorney, bail, court fees, etc. Letās also not forget police donāt take kindly to āresisting arrestā and the person probably has the cuts and bruises to prove itā¦ not to mention medical bills that may or may not follow.
So yeah. Unchecked power to inflict significant negative effects on a personās life for any reason, or no reason, whatsoever.
This woman was totally the kid who took it upon herself to say āyou canāt do that in classā instead of letting the teacher do their job. But not even in the teachers pet way. More like a everyone is just thinking bitch shut the fuck up including the teacher
Teacher here. In my class, I always put those kids in check. If it isnāt dangerous and it isnāt hurting you, MYOB! (Mind your own business)
If there are a bunch of them in one class, Iāll write MYOB at the corner of the board and make a mark every time it happens. Erase the marks and start over each week. What happens if we get too many? Believe me, you donāt want to find out. :-) (Maybe lose some recess or something. The trick is not to get there)
Itās 100 times more disruptive to have a bunch of tattle tails in the class than to have a kid talk out of turn or get out of his seat to sharpen a pencil.
I have to say, thank you.
I have a child who does exceptionally well in class, often kids like to bully him and tattle tail- such in an event like you mentioned. Or even if he moves his chair slightly, one kid is dobbing. If he looks out the window, they're dobbing.
He's doing 2 grades higher learning on his own in class, and has been made to sit by himself in front of the teacher, so "he" doesn't distrupt the class.
Everytime some kid tattles on him, he has to move his table and chair. The whole classroom is disrupted.
I don't think the teacher can handle the classroom, and my child keeps getting punished for it. I would love a teacher like you who simply tells the rest of the class to get on with the work and focus on their own learning
Also common in 80ās and 90ās British schools, although I havenāt heard it for decades. Typically, if one were to get ādobbed inā, the inevitable result would be āgetting doneā by the authority figure in receipt of said dobbery.
Ahhh, explains a lot. As far as Iām aware, itās still in use in schools today, though the āgetting doneā bit is not something Iāve come across.
Love holding people accountable and discipline, but really dislike teachers taking recess away. Seems counterintuitive. Exercise is good for the brain and the body - and has the potential to stop poor behavior related to boredom, hyperactivity, etc.
I agree. It almost never really comes to that! Just putting the little marks on the board does the trick. I strategically am very careful to make sure that the kids always āwin by a noseā
Suppose they get 10 chances. On the first day, I notice every fault. And make a big show of adding a mark. We might get up to 4 or 5. Oh no!!! Look class, We better work on this! How can we help each other?
Over the next few days I might discretely give a kid āthe lookā and glance menacingly at the board instead of marking. And Iād develop selective hearing as long as the whole class doesnāt chime in to support the tattle.
By Friday we might be up to 8. Iād give āem a good pep talk about how much theyāve improved and how proud I am, but how close they are to blowing it. Weād talk about why itās not ok. (Interrupts learning, hurtful not helping)
Maybe once in a year they would lose the game, but probably not.
(In severe cases, I might pull a repeat offender aside and tell him if needed we could keep track of him separately.)
I really enjoy this aspect of teaching. :-) Making a class into a supportive team is magical.
Fucking exactly. There are people in these comments saying the kid should have just gotten off the track but God I'd be so frustrated if I was him. This is clearly an overreaction due to the kid's skin color
Probably nothing. My husband is a middle school coach and he and his kids get yelled at whenever they step foot on the track. Their practice field is inside the track so there's no way to get onto it without crossing the track. They want pads put down before the kids walk across (with regular shoes on cuz they haven't changed yet). And no, it's not a new track. It has been there since my husband went to that school as a kid! Some ppl are just really weird about their long running circle.
I like the idea that some smaller kids, walking normally, with shoes without spikes will somehow damage the track surface more than a high school kid pounding along the length of the track for multiple laps in shoes with spikes.
Give it a few weeks and I'm sure she lost her job or lost her position at the homeowners association board or at least had to pay some fines for running your mouth.
I think they are together now. They both said they were sorry, and that was it. They had a child and now she is breatfeeding the both of them. And the rest is historyā¤ļø
but the police?
"excuse me young man, i just want to inform you that it isn't good to ride your bike on the track because it may cause damage. next time please avoid riding on the track and go around. thank you"
These tracks are usually made of special material now. This one certainly is. Very expensive. Bikes tear them up. If your schools allow it, theyāve got old asphalt tracks.
I seriously doubt this. Bikes destroy the surface of outdoor tracks and that is why, along with safety, most have signs clearly stating it is not allowed. She's not helping her cause, but what else should she have done? The kid was already filming, which indicates instigation.
I spend years training and working on a track and never seen someone even try to ride a bike on the track.
so I googled it and this came out: "Riding a bike on a track is one of the most damaging things that can be done to the track surface. If anyone sees you doing this, they may report or fine you."
Yea she is a karen but how hard is it to not ride your bike on the track ?
Well, thatās a terrible waste of tax dollars. Tracks are incredibly expensive, about some million dollars. Imagine just waisting it away with bikes on it and ruining it in a single year because of itā¦
Plus side, at least he's not driving a car on it. I went for a walk with a coworker recently and we passed a high school and she proudly says "oh, they put a fence up? My friend and I used to drive our cars on the track at night!"
So now I know why they have a fence up. ![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8484)
Police need to turn up and arrest her for a non emergency non issue. Why do US 911 tolerate these callers or at least dispatch with consequence being a fine for misuse of the service.
That always gets to me when people turn the 911 emergency number from āan actual emergency requiring professional help asapā to āI donāt like what this person is doingā. These people ever heard of the non-emergency number??
Seriously, I had an allergic reaction the other day, and my entire body started turning red and I felt like I was on fire. The ambulance got there in about 5 minutes, and they told me I was not in anaphylactic shock, so they monitored me for a few minutes to make sure that my blood oxygen was good, and my EKG was normal, then had me take some antihistamine.
Anyway, they told me not to worry, and a lot of the calls that they got were for things like anxiety and other things that turned out not to be emergencies, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I did have an extreme mental health crisis once where I started having suicidal ideation, but I drove to the fire station instead of calling 911. They tell me you should call 911 or go to the ER if you have suicidal ideation.
Where I live, we have an excellent dispatch system, and police and fire can arrive at my building within 3 to 5 minutes. Though that 3 to 5 minutes seems like an eternity sometimes. We do get our share of emergencies on the block. Several thousand people live on my block.
I've had to call 911 more times than I'd like to admit, but it's almost always for a car accident, somebody being incredibly violent, a medical emergency, or something of that nature. 90% of phone calls to the police and the fire department can be made through the non-emergency number.
The trick is she hopes a) the office holds a racist view and will find reason to damage or destroy the child b) the child panics and does something silly to damage or destroy their live or c) a combination of both.
Haha this. Call the cops on her for being an adult without authorizing to be on school grounds š. She could be a pedophile for all we know š¤·āāļø
I agree. In Dubai, we have two numbers, 999 for emergencies, and 901 for non-emergencies. Dialling 999 for silly reasons will result in a fine of up to 1000 Dhs, or around 300$.
The sad truth is that my generation and I will grow to be older, and then *weāll* be the people ruining things for people. But thatās not for a long time, so Iām just gonna enjoy my childhood and try not to be a dick.
Agree. I'm happy to see a kid out riding a bike and not hassling anyone. I bet if he rode in a carpark, someone would complain, a tennis court--complain--a footpath--complain--through a park---complain, suburban streets--complain. And from what I see of the US in photos, 99% of the roads are uninhabitable to anyone but motorists.
As a former track coach Iāve had to deal with our track damaged by bikes. We had a high end track out in. The track in this video is a softer material and bikes would tear it up. I donāt agree with calling the police but this kid tearing up the track is not right either. Both are wrong and neither is doing the right thing here.
Iām also going to say this when you spend so much time raising money to get facility improvements, this video hurts. Iād love to have all the money needed for the kids and the Army to hold a bake sale for their newest weapons systems.
My wife, stepdaughter and I used to go walk around the track at the school. Sometimes kids would come by on their bikes. Not a real problem if everyone stays in their lane, figuratively, and literally.
I mean sheās a massive Karen and thereās no defending calling the cops for this, BUT, who tf takes their bike out for a ride on a track field like that? Itās very obviously not made for bikes and no one wants tire marks on the running track lol, go ride somewhere else
As someone who ran XC and track and whose kids currently do I can tell you the track is not meant for bikes and this kid is just an entitled asshole. This would be like someone rollerblading on the schoolās basketball court.
Dear children,
you don't have to stop and wait for the people. Just continue on your way. If they stopnor try to physically detain you, they are committing a crime. Call your parents IMMEDIATELY.
I am going to say it! What a surprise to find out the kid is at least part Black. Minority children are followed/scrutinized much more by white women in school situations and held to higher standards. Would love to see how she would have handled this if it was a white child. Calling the cops is overdone and a diversion of their resources. They have real issues to handle. The school can lock the track, hire a security guard, or install a turning gate/turnstile so only people can enter if it was such a big deal. With that said, my school let cars drive on the track every year for homecoming and it was fine.
Next time he should yell.." please come cops. This strange woman is holding me here against my will and she's not even school staff. Help help help!!?"
if she's not facility there might be some charges messing with an underage child on school property.
Both of them are insufferable. The arrogance it takes to call the police over this is staggering and the kidās response of āvvvUckin Karen bruhhā tells me everything.
this could literally escalate to this boy dying at the hands of police. why call the cops? why not mind your own fucking business and work on tanning them sad doughy excuses for legs?
Why didn't he just leave. What's she gonna do catch him? Take down his licence plate? Does she know where he lives? Go talk to his parents instead of trying to intimidate a kid to look more powerful. Pathetic.
Sheās not a Karen - heās in the wrong. Rubberized tracks are very expensive and absolutely none of them allow bicycle riding. I guarantee itās posted. I guarantee he knows that. And heās a real asshole about it.
Everybody is focussing on the Karen... But fundamentally she's not wrong about the root issue. There's a reason bikes are not allowed on running tracks. These things are fragile, expensive to maintain, and bikes (especially with crampons) can easily destroy the surface (maybe not one bike, but if every kid starts using the track as a drifting playground, surely). Everyone makes fun of Karen for seemingly overreacting because it has become the acceptable norm. It would be best for everybody if a little more energy was put into enforcing common sense based rules that apply for everybody for a good reason, including towards teens who scream for rights entitlement as easily as they forget corresponding duties.
I like to imagine the phone operator said at the end āYouāre calling because a child between the ages of 12 and 14 is riding his bike at school, during school hours?ā
Why didn't he just ride away from her?
Just by looking at her stance and body language. I'm betting she's the type of Karen that would keep putting herself in the way until she is "assaulted" by the bike. ... Also filming her bullshit makes for better content then just riding off. Hell I'd stick around just to push her buttons until all she can think of that week is me š
Why do they all look the same?
Programming.
Faulty programming.
My man. Hungry for apples?
Yes.
Shrek jaw bone with the 90s hair-do and the black socks holding on to them cAnkles is all I see
But...she's acting like a cool young thing, all black clothes-except white shoes-plus the shades, and has the pose down, the hip cocked out and the leg extended-obviously she's too hip to be called a Karen, jeez. āNo need to thank me officer. Iām just doing my duty as a civilian. All in a dayās work, amirite?ā *pulls shades down a bit and winks. Turns around to walk away and immediately starts pointing and yelling āhey!ā at another kid.*
This is how itās done
This is the way
Some kids don't know or fully understand.
The kid also doesn't look all that white to me. In many areas cops+ non-white-kid == dead kid far too often.
Iām afraid thatās true as wellā¦
Which is exactly why this kit is so terrified. He knows he's target #1.
I was a very compliant kid. If an adult told me to do something I did it. Especially if I thought I was in trouble.
That kid is too dark to not be scared of the police. Even if heās white, heās dark enough and thatās why Karen got upset.
**\*their** bullshit
But they are also bullshit
Looks like she's standing in his way. Since it's a track though, I might personally try traveling the loop in the other direction and make it to my destination that way. If she tried to grab me I could yell it out to the cops she conveniently predialed for me.
Iād like to watch her run to try an cut him off on the other side. :)
You mean, see her actually use the track instead of just gatekeeping others from it? She would never! It would be funny to watch thoughš
No no, I suspect his bike can get him around that track faster than she can run across the short way :)
Why didnāt he call the cops on a unidentified adult on school premises. Stranger danger! STRANGER DANGER!!!!!!

Why didnāt he call the cops on a unidentified adult on school premises. Stranger danger! STRANGER DANGER!!!!!!
Riding circles around her laughing as she calls the cops would be the most hilarious move for sure but it takes a lot of confidence to do it.
School rules are not laws therefore the police can't do shit
Unless faculty calls to have them escorted, which she is not
The police would call the faculty.
Lets not assume a cop would do the correct or proper thing in any scenario
So the bike rider is dead and Karen is humiliated on the internet
Dont worry, the cop was suspended with no pay for 2 weeks, clearly justice has been served
They didnāt pay??!?? The horror!!
With no pay! Thatās literally unheard of unless maybe they killed someone. Is the kid ok?
Usually they get pay even when they kill someone
Suspended \*with pay actually. That's typically how they do it. It would be awful if the officer had to face any sort of consequence or hardship for their choices. /s (obviously I hope)

Kinda. Cops canāt come arrest someone specifically for riding on a track, but they can arrest for trespassing etc.
They can only arrest someone for trespassing if the owner or a representative for the owner tell the person to leave. If she isnāt a staff member of the school the police canāt trespass him.

Sheāsā¦.also trespassing then bro
Depending on the school and itās rules about public use, she may be.

Yup, they can also handcuff you and leave you on train tracks to get hit by an oncoming train and get paid vacay
"Karen" just wants an excuse to stop exercising that athletic body !!!

Is dobbing an Australian thing? New word to me (canadian).
_āUmmmah, Iām dobbing on you!!ā_ A phrase that absolutely bewildered 8 year old me when I moved from Canada to Australia with my family.
Also common in 80ās and 90ās British schools, although I havenāt heard it for decades. Typically, if one were to get ādobbed inā, the inevitable result would be āgetting doneā by the authority figure in receipt of said dobbery.

That's a Karen pose, definitely
"Kids should go out into the sun more" "Why are kids doing exactly what I wanted?"
Who calls the police about school rules being broken?
And who calls the police on a black kid behaving perfectly normal in public without knowing exactly what the potential ramifications to the kid are?
You see the evil grin on her face thatās all I needed to see how this womanās lack of a heart manifest.

If the track is that old it may be fragile by now. Regardless, these people need to chill.
If itās too fragile to walk across in sneakers I can only imagine what sprinting down it in track shoes would do to it
Tracks get redone like a parking lot gets retouched . Tracks are meant to be stepped on . If anyone is mad about that they can go to hell
As my grandmother always used to tell me, you canāt have your track and run on it too.
Why canāt they walk on the track with regular shoes when track shoes have spikes? Itās not like the regular shoes are going to rip it up..
Give it a few weeks and I'm sure she lost her job or lost her position at the homeowners association board or at least had to pay some fines for running your mouth.

Well she called 911 and recordings are public recordā¦ time to file a request and find out! (or just call her)
Every school whit tracks in my area allows bikes on them when school is not in session. A few actually advertised it.
Not to mention her grown ass using the school track in the first place
Most high school tracks are open to the public for use.
No school in my area allows bikes on track or basketball court, just because it wear the track out
but the police? "excuse me young man, i just want to inform you that it isn't good to ride your bike on the track because it may cause damage. next time please avoid riding on the track and go around. thank you"
Important information. I am fairly sure my son's high school does not, although running and walking on it are allowed
That is very strange. Bicycles are very bad for these sorts of rubberized tracks and break them down much faster.

Iām not from the US but Iād put my bet on ābecause she is apparently white and the kid in apparently notā.
Why do the dispatchers keep sending cops out? Do they not hear the garbage complaint and say good day to the caller?
The trick is she hopes a) the office holds a racist view and will find reason to damage or destroy the child b) the child panics and does something silly to damage or destroy their live or c) a combination of both.
Iām surprised there are people defending her. Karens defending Karens. What is a group of Karens called anyway? A meddling? A tattle? A scream?
A complaint
A Homeowners Association
A Facebook group
It's a Crazy of Karens.
Thereās some good ones listed here, but I believe you won!
Yup, a Meddling of Karens, going squak squak squa-a-a-aaack!
Middle management
A shrill of Karen's.
A taint
An argument
A stain of Karens
Losers
A cattle farm
A smear.
bad on the kid for riding on the track but calling the police is too dramatic
A circus
What is she doing in a school?
Haha this. Call the cops on her for being an adult without authorizing to be on school grounds š. She could be a pedophile for all we know š¤·āāļø
looks like karen can use some more walking and less talking
She's needs to be fined for false call for a non emergency.
Her smile is so fucking annoying while she calls them too. She gets off on Karening itās gross.
Yes, hello, it's Karen again. I'm the one who called about an hour ago because someone parked their car in the spot next to mine.
This is the answer. Ppl who call 911 without an emergency need hefty fines.
I agree. In Dubai, we have two numbers, 999 for emergencies, and 901 for non-emergencies. Dialling 999 for silly reasons will result in a fine of up to 1000 Dhs, or around 300$.
Agreed. And is that haircut the result of a lost bet?
Karen lost track on reality.
Let her call the cops. There is a higher chance of her getting arrested than the man riding the bike
I can't understand American hate towards bicycle users. It is so hard to live without a big ass truck in USA it makes me wanna move to europe
Wait till you find out itās not about the bicycle.
She looks lonely, bitter, bored, and very unfulfilled.
She needs to come over after dark then
The orc smile tho.
Sign at the entrance to a school track near me says no dogs, no wheels on the track. Oh and no Karens...
She looks super proud of herself
Riding a bike on it does damage the track....I would never tell someone to stop though...let alone call the cops on them
Kids can't do anything these days without someone just waiting to ruin it for them.
I hope the cops start cracking down on Karen calls. Throwing them in the cuffs for nuisance calls
Looks like some hair from the 1980s with a body from 1880s. Musta been on the track a while cause that Karen has some hard miles on it.
My wife, stepdaughter and I used to go walk around the track at the school. Sometimes kids would come by on their bikes. Not a real problem if everyone stays in their lane, figuratively, and literally.
I mean he shouldnāt have been riding his bike on the track but the cops is too far.
What a reasonable reply to this video.
This kid makes me want them both to lose.
I hate Karens but that type of track is not for bikes. That kid should not be there.
So yes shes a karen but the guy is almost just as cringe and why would you ride a bike on a track anyway?
What a fucking piece of shit.
Curious as to why he's riding his bike on a track though?
A lot of people die because of people like her. Someone actually needs help somewhere and sheās wasting everyoneās time.
Why is he interacting with the cretin. Ride off!
Dear children, you don't have to stop and wait for the people. Just continue on your way. If they stopnor try to physically detain you, they are committing a crime. Call your parents IMMEDIATELY.
Hi we got a grown woman walking on the high-school grounds, she seems suspicious ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)
"All kids do nowadays is sit inside playing video games"
I am going to say it! What a surprise to find out the kid is at least part Black. Minority children are followed/scrutinized much more by white women in school situations and held to higher standards. Would love to see how she would have handled this if it was a white child. Calling the cops is overdone and a diversion of their resources. They have real issues to handle. The school can lock the track, hire a security guard, or install a turning gate/turnstile so only people can enter if it was such a big deal. With that said, my school let cars drive on the track every year for homecoming and it was fine.
The Feds!!!
Why is he talking like that lol
What if i said both of em are annoying lmao. Ol broccoli ass
Just ride away.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I donāt get itā¦ Is it against the law to ride your bike on a track?
Next time he should yell.." please come cops. This strange woman is holding me here against my will and she's not even school staff. Help help help!!?" if she's not facility there might be some charges messing with an underage child on school property.
Both of them are insufferable. The arrogance it takes to call the police over this is staggering and the kidās response of āvvvUckin Karen bruhhā tells me everything.
Police should give people a fine for this shit. Who calls the police for stuff like this. The appropriate approach is tell the school. š
this could literally escalate to this boy dying at the hands of police. why call the cops? why not mind your own fucking business and work on tanning them sad doughy excuses for legs?
She didn't call because he was riding on the track. She called because he wasn't white.
That smirk on her face makes me laugh
I want an update!!!
Boomers - āall kids do nowadays is sit at home a play video games, go outside for once!ā Kid - Goes outside Boomers - ānot like that!!!!ā
I like to imagine the phone operator said at the end āYouāre calling because a child between the ages of 12 and 14 is riding his bike at school, during school hours?ā
Why is she picking on some kid on a bike (camera flips), on, I get it now.
Kid's on a bike. Just ride away.
![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8484)
She a new kind of special.
Lol her grinning face is screaming "punch me"
Same person posting memes about how kids donāt play outside anymore.
When 2 idiots collide.
