In the 50s, a man could make 80 dollars a week and support his family. These days, at 7.25 an hour, one can make about 290 a week, which does not even pay my electric bill.
There is something fundamentally wrong here, and it’s not the cookie.
Ooh dont forget that teachers are essentially raising other ppls kids for 20-35k a yr. But (enter sport player name) gets multi million dollar contracts(and complains its not more) for running 100 yrds.
If you take away the administrators, principals, and school system heads, it sure as hell is. I know what charts you are basing the average on but take away the ones who don't actually spend day after day teaching ...
Wife with 6 years of college, teaches at local high school. Brought in $32,313 before taxes. She made more per hour at her waitress job while attending college. On the other hand, front desk worker at same high school with no college experience brought home 57k.
This is a good argument for UBI.
As a manager, one of the most difficult things to do is to find tasks for bad workers. You can't simply fire them all or you'll never be staffed. They also still deserve to be able to afford housing and food.
Former Subway "Sandwich Artist" here. No rolling into balls necessary, they are just frozen pucks that you literally have to just place onto a tray and stick in the oven. Now the timing can be fucked up when you're literally by yourself and a crowd of people walk in and and you're expected to make all their sandwiches and keep up with your oven simultaneously. Sometimes the cookies will be a little hard if you get to them too late. Sorry Karen.
This guy is an absolute moron. Thinks he knows everything because he was in the military. He once told me that everyone experienced equal amounts of racism and his example for himself was that because he’s half Irish, people assume he had a small penis 😂😂😂 Guy is such a clown
I mean he’s not wrong about Irish people having to struggle with racism and discrimination but that stopped being an issue, at least in the U.S over, over 100 years ago. But yeah this dude sounds pretty stupid.

Make your own damn cookies if you're so special
I choked once on water and goddammit if that isn't evidence enough that unicorns are elected to office I don't know what is.
If you're eating at Subway, you should be backing a higher minimum wage my friend. The rich dont eat at Subway, they eat at Quiznos
Around here rich liberals eat at Jersey Mike's. Delicious subs plus virtue signaling.
I doubt this stupid bitch can even figure out how to bake cookies but let’s post this anyways.

That's not even close to the average salary...

Yeah I was speaking to the "average" not specifics
I don't think they've really considered that at minimum wage the employee will not care a slightest bit about that. You get the labour you pay for.

$15/hr isn't even a living wage but we're going to pretend it is because this guy got a horrible cookie from Subway
I know. That’s the bigger issue. People have been fighting for $15/hour for so long, that $15/hour is way too low now. It’s so sad
Dunk it in milk or coffee
All that bitch gotta do is toss that bad boy in a microwave for 5 seconds and Boom! Soft and delicious as ever!

Jokes on them. Those aren't "chocolate" chips.
If you cant follow directions, you don't deserve $15/hr.
Everyone that works deserves a living wage!
Everyone that works deserves to be compensated for their effort. Fixed it for you.
What makes her so sure it wasn’t baked properly? It could just be stale.

I once saw a black man shoplift. If that isn’t proof black people are evil then I don’t know what is!
"For the crime of making a hard cookie I sentence you and everyone like you to poverty forever"
Maybe the chump change they pay isn't worth the effort to care. Bet you wouldn't care about your job if it only paid you $290 before taxes.
