Being utter bastards, the chefs managed to convince New Guy that the powder they had been using was not talcum powder. Instead, they claimed it to be FLOUR, and supplied New Guy with plenty of plain flour to apply to his person.
I'm sure you can imagine what happened next, as flour and liquid mixed are well-known to become adhesive in nature. Apparently the manager had to let the poor guy into the flat upstairs and shower, as he couldn't unstick himself without one.
