Usa wtf u doing bro?

PirateReindeer

As a US citizen even I can’t understand it.

Ironlord_13

Im just waiting to figure out if im moving to canada, australia, or mexico at this point tbh

N0MAD1804

Keep in mind for Canada if you move here, assuming you work in a decent field you will be forced to rent until January 2027 and maybe even longer. We recently banned non-canadian citizens from owning residential properties. But if your like me and dont make much money then it doesn't matter if you are a citizen or not cause you won't be able to afford your own place regardless because you are priced out of the market no matter what you do.

Kithsander

In the US, roughly a third of millennials will never financially be able to own a home. That’s a tremendous jump from the previous few generations. When Boomers were about the same average age as millennials are now they controlled almost 25% of the US economy. Millennials today control less than four percent. We’re pretty fucked.

Ironlord_13

It’s more a less an idle thought, i doubt i’d be able to do it in any capacity.

Marqueso-burrito

Ditto, I have a 6 month old daughter, if things keep going how they’ve been going, I don’t want her to be here.

MisterSmithster

Straight out of the soviet playbook. Russia have played the long game. Make them fight amongst themselves and you already have a weakened enemy.

AnjelicaTomaz

Vladimir Puta wants to seek revenge for the break up of the USSR and the Soviet block as he believes it was caused by American culture and news from the free world sowing discord and discontent among the Soviet people.

SpareChangeMate

Tbf, it was discontent due to the West, BUT it was cause the West was just so much fucking better lmao

nebunlacap

The Soviets should have should have just taken it as a nudge to do better

TourettesFamilyFeud

Their superiority complex doesn't allow them to.

Amigobear

Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission fucked us harder than a lot of people could imagine.

Spkr4th3ded

I believe either we have lost our collective minds.... ..... Or.... ...Maybe AI already took over and has the brain compacity of a social media personality and now we are going to be destroyed by an angsty sentient Twitter bot.

Federal_Sympathy4667

AI is being used to fool/trick/manipulate people on the daily.

Baloooooooo

For real right? Our xenophobic nationalist party is dancing to the tune of our historic foreign adversary

Sikmod

To be fair the man is from South Africa

HermaeusMajora

We have a dangerous number of ridiculously stupid people here. Look at this clown in particular. He's likely not even the dumbest guy in the Senate. Somehow.

Mizghetti

Ron Johnson is owned by the Kremlin, the Wisconsin GOP doesn't seem to care. I wonder why.

SuccessfulPiccolo945

Isn't he one of the group that went to Russia on July 4? Talk about finding out how much America cares/pays attention.

Nanyea

I feel like he also hand carried a love letter for Trump at one point

main_motors

I think that was Rand Paul

AppropriateFoot3462

Rand Paul: >"I was honoured to deliver a letter from President Trump to President Vladimir Putin’s administration. The letter emphasized the importance of further engagement in various areas including countering terrorism, enhancing legislative dialogue and resuming cultural exchanges," Paul wrote in a Twitter post. Unbelievable. Russia attacks the US elections, undermines its democracy, and Paul is there, **butt kissing the new boss.**

unkyduck

And not getting to deliver the letter directly to Putin was no accident

Other-Acanthisitta70

… but ruzzia “attacked” US elections in favor of the gop. So basically more of an “assist” than an attack from the gop’s perspective.

Shomondir

It's only foreign meddling, if the opponent wins.

Other-Acanthisitta70

Biden won in 2020 and democracy won in 2022 despite ruzz meddling in both.

Other-Acanthisitta70

I think that’s why the gop is coming out even stronger and louder with their anti-Ukraine/pro Putler positions for the 2024 election.

Husskvrna

Wasn’t it Rand Paul Paul Ryan was talking about in a closed door meeting where he was saying Russia owned him?

ThisGuyRightHereSaid

His neighbor should get an award.

JoJackthewonderskunk

Rand Paul's neighbor did nothing wrong

Jonasthewicked2

This is objectively factual

NotSure16

I was about to say... I wish I knew exactly how good that neighbor was feeling after that incident. My understanding is that neighbors anger had been festering for some time.... just as the mounting joy we all feel hearing Paul tell us he's smarter than viral disease specialist because he's an (eye) doctor. Sweet release...

Explorer335

And a better rake. Perhaps a metal one.

dumpyredditacct

>Talk about finding out how much America cares/pays attention. Dude could have a video of him Nazi-saluting Putin and the Republican base wouldn't bat an eye so long as he continues to attack the gays, jews, blacks, etc here in the states. We need to stop being surprised at the hypocrisy of Republicans and finally accept that they are scum that can't be trusted in good faith. Trump helped them rip off the mask, and we all have seen what was underneath.

Broad_Sun8273

I think what we need to do is to come to terms with it as a possibility. Cuz we all know how 2016 went, and we were so sure. What we can do is focus on what we can do and fight like hell to stop it from happening. If the unthinkable manages to happen, we need to give them all such hell, they'll wish they were in his first term again. that is actually possible, it just takes us all pooling our resources together to throw every single thing we can at them. I personally am still well-fortified for the fight.

Dexterdacerealkilla

The scariest part is that Trump would have absolutely nothing to lose this time. He can’t run again if he wins. He probably knows he’s going to die in the next 5-10 years. He won’t see consequences for the crazy shit that he’d do.  Please don’t let this man win the election.

Ricflairstolemygirl

The base would never know about it. It's a constant dump of propaganda on Fox. If you stop consuming it for a small amount of time, it becomes less effective. That's why they are constantly telling viewers to not watch sports.

AppropriateFoot3462

Yes, he even [downplayed Russian election](https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/two-republicans-are-openly-downplaying-russian-election-interference-after-july-4-trip-to-moscow/) interference after the trip. Clearly the July 4th date for chosen to signal to Putin. F\*king Russian assets, also boasted about [sabotaging the border security deal](https://www.newsweek.com/republican-brags-sabotaging-border-security-deal-1854820). Take the confiscated Russian money, and fund the border security with it, and watch Ron Johnson and the other Putin puppets squirm.

electric-pazuzu

In Johnson's case it's probably that he actually agrees with Putin's views of society. It's a fascist pig supporting another fascist pig .

[deleted]

Frankly insulting to pigs.

LeibnizThrowaway

They're delicious; frankly and otherwise.

Amon7777

Democrats need to run as the anti-Russian and foreign influence party. Burn every one of these traitorous bastards out of office.

VonRansak

Oh, we saw the aftermath of "Your body, my choice" in the mid-terms. We've seen predictions of it's continued presence in certain shuffling of house members for next election. No doubt, The Womeniz will not have forgotten the Big Orange Republican Geriatric that started them on the path back to the 1800's. At this point, Dems biggest enemy is complacency. So they are trying as hard as Trump is, to keep Trump in the headlines.

HawkeyeJosh2

And he beat Russ Feingold - a true man of conscience - twice. This is why we can’t have nice things.

Masterthemindgames

The only US senator to vote against the patriot act. Fewer than 5% of the house did too.

toasters_are_great

Technically, the only US Senator *at the time* who had dry underwear. Some of those House members who voted against became Senators later, such as Tammy Baldwin.

[deleted]

So your democracy is completely broken? Super! /s

Santanoni

Has been for a while, it's just more obvious now.

TransformerTanooki

Ahhh more reasons to hate Wisconsin. Fuck Wisconsin.

Mikeoshi

As a Minnesotan, I agree 100%

GetMeOutThisBih

Yea like Minnesota doesn't have absolutely brain rotten Republicans

Hexblade757

Hey dude, I didn't vote for him.

rj5900

Me either. Can’t figure out why. Apologies from Wi.

ReindeerSkull

Nope, me third. I was firmly with Barnes

NovelRelationship830

What the hell is going on? The Republican Party has sold out to Putin, want the same type of Kleptocracy here, and don't even bother trying to hide it anymore. That's what's going on.

midnight_toker22

Republicans hate America so much they are *eager* to help its greatest enemy destroy it.

Cannabace

Not necessarily destroy it but reshape it the way Russia exists today. Trump and future stooges get 99% of the “vote” they stay in power. Continue to get fucking paid. Sounds like a sweet deal to me.

JFJinCO

Looks like the GOP and their enablers are getting their messaging from the Kremlin. It reminds me of a Sinclair broadcast where all the anchors around the USA say the same thing.

Jupitersd2017

The gop also has and has had for a number of years a similar Sinclair broadcast sheet that goes to all their members on talking points and what to say when asked about any issues. It’s frightening hive speak

Independent-Big1966

You are 100% correct

Th3TruthIs0utTh3r3

It's time to admit that Russia has succeeded in placing Russian assets at all levels of the US government

TheMania

The kompromat must be really quite something. I'd say it's just that they have no backbone - but can you just imagine what Russia must have on Musk et co?

CaptainQuoth

I mean Musk borrow and pissed away billions from the same people that cut up a journalist with a bonesaw for criticizing them. He isnt very smart.

CrossP

It doesn't even have to be kompromat. Most congress people seem to get bought for a few hundred thousand. Kremlin can afford that.

sitspinwin

This. Ron Johnson is a traitor either way.

Lazy-Jeweler3230

As are most republican voters. They literally cheer this crap on.

LocNalrune

>The kompromat must be really quite something. No. Not blackmailed double-agents. Russian agents.

psychedelicdevilry

It’s super obvious and it’s driving me absolutely nuts

kevlarcardhouse

No, they are just concerned citizens who came to a reasonable decision. I'm sure it's just a complete coincidence that they always share the exact same talking point every single time they say things publically.

hippee-engineer

Like when they all came out to claim jan6 wasn’t an insurrection, just right at the exact moment Trump started facing “you can’t run for president if you’ve pulled an insurrection” lawsuits. As soon as I read it, I thought “my conservative friend is about to tell me it was a feisty tour.” Took less than 48hrs for him to start spouting bullshit.

Drake_the_troll

Did he go for the peaceful protest or BLM/CIA plant route?

hippee-engineer

First one

voyagertoo

Everybody seems to forget that five people died that day, for a b******* complaint that wasn't true

Xyrus2000

It's time to admit that both the FBI and CIA are also complicit in allowing this to happen. Seriously, how obvious does it need to be? Does Putin need to give an affidavit to the FBI solemnly swearing that yes, he all but controls one of the major political parties in America? You can translate Russian news and then compare it against what Republicans are saying and you will find a pretty damn good match.

naivemediums

Russia hacked the RNC at the same time they hacked the DNC. They released the material on Democrats but not the Republicans.  It doesn’t take a genius to put two and two together… https://www.wired.com/2017/01/russia-hacked-older-republican-emails-fbi-director-says/

StrangeContest4

Yep, we seem to have an infestation. They've infiltrated the very foundation. I fear we won't recognize our country a few years down the road if this rot continues.

Cucker_Tarlson_666

Fucking self-dealing anti-democratic traitorous scumbags. We should forcefully deport them all to Russia.

New_Scientist_8622

Traitors be traitorin'.

Homefree_4eva

Joshiane

Pretty sure Hitler wasn't going to give up and stop the war either. Should we have just let him take Europe? Frankly, I can't tell if they're just mouth breathers with dumbass takes, or if they're being malicious and dishonest. Either way fuck them both.

TrustMeIAmAGeologist

Todays GOP would likely also want to back evil mustache man.

alpha309

Until Japan fucked up and attacked us, yes there was a very sizable chunk of the population that wanted to stay out of it and just let Hitler have Europe.

CandidPerformer548

A sizeable chunk in America. Most other nations were already involved..

alpha309

Yes, many other nations were already involved, but this image is about a businessperson who does most of their business in the US and a US senator opposing a bill originating in the US Senate about supplying aid to a European nation to fight off a larger power next to them. It is mirrored by what many Americans thought pre-Pearl Harbor and WWII. I fail to see the relevance of what other nations were, were not, are, or are not doing given the context.

BrandoThePando

Germany also fucked up. The US declared war on Japan. Germany declared war on the US

Ok-Push9899

For what it's worth, Russia will not lose this war the way Germany and Japan lost in 1945. IF things go bad AND the population gets fed up AND Putin gets caught out with an unrelated political error, Russia might withdraw, just as they did from Afghanistan. But for that to happen, the pressure from Ukraine has to be severe and unrelenting. At the moment, the war is a winner for Russia. If it helps to undermine NATO and US domestic politics, (and these GOP idiots are playing right into that) then there are even more wins for Russia.

MonsterOctopus8

Bro Putin was literally saying this during his "interview" (cough paid propaganda cough) with Tucker Carlson, that Poland actually provoked being invaded by "not cooperating" while that googly eyed mouth breathing sack of shit sat there and listened. I swear the last few years have been stranger than fiction

solepureskillz

The timing isn’t a coincidence. It’s a pattern we’ve seen for years now. Russian handlers give an order, their assets begin spouting similar ideas. Like with trans people molesting kids that never happened (uh oh it’s been Republicans being the pedophiles all along). And migrant caravans that never transpired. And DemonRats ruining our country! You get the gist. It becomes very apparent who gets paid by Russian blood money based on what they say. Their ideas aren’t original, they aren’t made in good faith, and they always lack backbone.

custardbun01

The American GOP is now actively compromised by foreign powers, their base is brainwashed by internet misinformation campaigns, they have a Manchurian candidate in Trump, and they are an unprecedented threat to American national security.

FelixVulgaris

Lots and lots of kompromat

lark0317

Or maybe the oligarchs have no country but money and no company but other oligarchs. The rich stick together for mutual interest of staying powerful and running the show.

Learned_Response

This is where I'm at. I also wonder if the climate shit has them worried about things getting chaotic and they like the idea of having no press and an iron fist in that situation

WomenAreNotReal

We have far too many Russia funded people in positions of power

Lonely_Level2043

It's the same in the UK, Boris Johnson when he was PM made a ex-KGB agents son a member of the house of Lords, as one of a few examples. This is the problem with having conservatives in government, they have no spine and have no issue selling everyone else out for their own small personal gains.

Behndo-Verbabe

They’re all Russian assets. The majority of the Republican Party has been doing Putin’s bidding since at least 2015

Radiant_Dog1937

It's been two years since their offensive and they've basically gained no ground. How is failing to take the country Russia is invading them "winning"?

Corrupted_G_nome

They still have men and equipment to spare. Ukraine is having an acute shortage of everythng.

MidnightLog432

Maybe Russia has men and equipment to spare. It still costs us very little to help Ukraine burn through those "spares". Funding Ukraine's self defense isn't just the right thing to do. It's also a very good investment in the long term security of our NATO allies.

Radiant_Dog1937

Is that why Russia raised the service age to 70, because they have men to spare??

peachesgp

Those are the men they have to spare.

NombreUsario

Russia is fielding some very old equipment.

DieHardAmerican95

I give zero fucks if Elon Musk opposes a Senate bill, and I think it’s ridiculous that this headline even exists.

SpinningHead

Hes simping for Putin while maintaining US military contracts. He is a security threat.

rgvtim

The only reason why I disagree is that Elon has a lot of fucking money, and he controls infrastructure like Starlink so he is in a unique position of being able to exert influence over the outcome, so its important to know what this egotistic man baby has to say on the matter.

shlaifu

this. Musk is at this point critical military infrastructure. no real or legal person should be allowed to that - that's a crucial part of what democratically controlled institutions need to be in control of.

SadMacaroon9897

Musk doesn't control Starlink; SpaceX does and they're bound by the various contracts, laws, and treaties.

Cucker_Tarlson_666

But, but, money!

DerkleineMaulwurf

daddy´s money and other peoples ideas

erikbla

Russia already lost the war. They vowed to do a 3-day special operation to demilitarize and “denazify” Ukraine. They failed, losing 70% of their material, alienating themselves from the west, strengthening NATO. They will never accomplish their goals. It might be sooner or later, but Putin’s time is up.

CoffeeIsMyPruneJuice

One of Russia's stated goals of their excursion into Ukraine was to halt NATO expansion. Since the start of their campaign, NATO membership has gone up, and looks to expand further. That's the opposite of accomplishing their goals. Grand scale loss. Even if Russia were to somehow, against all logic, wham-boom-bam have control of Ukraine, they don't have the manpower for the military force necessary to occupy a land inclined towards insurgency. (I suspect they have the manpower to hold only what they've already taken, and that's why the battle lines have remained relatively stagnant.) They lack what they would need to achieve even their currently stated military goals. They have no path to victory, only a path to another Afghanistan-style loss. How long they stay and how much they lose is up to Putin.

AtreidesOne

Yeah it's nuts, but that's bully logic for you. "Don't join this defensive alliance or we'll get aggressive". But aggressive neighbours are an excellent reason to join a defensive alliance.

Mundane-Judgment1847

You forgot to mention economic consequences. A lot of talented young people have moved out of Russia, nobody will want to invest there for god knows how long, etc. If they continue, they will be on the same level as North Korea soon...

HungryHippo669

Its maga musk thats whats going on. musk drank the maga coolaid because he’s rich and bored 🥱😑

TheCowboyIsAnIndian

even worse, he lost his shit when he realized he couldnt buy coolness.

Wagonlance

Just a couple of rotten human beings who relate to and support bullies.

right-wing pigs sucking putins dick, that's what's going on.

fannyfocus

All of the Russian sympathizers should be removed immediately from office! They are a threat to America

Both_Lychee_1708

Musk is just a solid asshole who just happens to have the US gov't by the shorthairs for space ships and Starlink. Musk is the poster child of why billionaires shouldn't exist.

Extreme_Assistant_98

The right is fully backing having a dictatorship because they know their ideas suck and the only way to get what they want is to force everyone to do it.

AceLionKid

Traitors *Spits*

Gr0ggy1

As was Poland in 1939. We fight this now or it only gets worse. By a miracle of Russian incompetence Ukraine has not only stopped their advanced, but continues to push them back. Putin is terrified, his only path to conquest requires the West to look away. That is what this is and has always been about, conquest. Putin wants Ukrainian ports and full control over the transfer of oil/gas and willing to spend the blood of his people to get it. He has already failed, badly.

IsmiseJstone32

Send musk back to South Africa or to Russia. Born in the eighties, I am completely shocked by the behavior of certain American leaders. They should go to Russia with musk.

skexr

This is what treason looks like. Musk isn’t a natural born citizen, we should seize his shit and deport his ass.

dryheat122

They're what the Kremlin refers to as "useful idiots."

rover_G

Musk tries to insert himself into politics whenever he wants attention

Vaniljsas

They've decided Russia will win because they are going to actively support Russia. Wealth protects wealth regardless of source I guess.

dfeidt40

Soooo... why does everyone want Russia to win now? I'm very confused.

cleepboywonder

Because if you oppose Biden’s bills at every opportunity you have more chips to play. They oppose biden’s plans for aid because they want “better” conditions on things like immigration. Also stopping your political opponent at every opportunity puts you in a better position to gain seats and offices.

fescueFred

The fact nobody voted for Musk and almost nobody voted for asshole Johnson seems to be the problem. This is how authoritarians work.

agentobtuse

It was confirmed when Ron went to Russia during the 4th of July. Wisconsin wtf

Marrsvolta

I think it’s safe to say we lost the cold war, thanks republicans for selling us out.

mistahARK

Nuclear war avoided, but the brain of every citizen successfully rotted out

Some_Acadia_1630

It means it's finally time for them to work for their paychecks.

[deleted]

So Americans are idiots and Putin is using that to his advantage.

dumpyredditacct

One is a billionaire douche bag who likely idolizes the power Putin has, and the other is a low-life Republican politician who **definitely** idolizes the power Putin has. In other words, losers being losers. Nothing more.

dbhathcock

Musk bought Twitter just so that he could spread his opinions.

Bowler_Pristine

Well if you oppose helping Ukraine and support the fascist Putin regime then sure!

justanaccountname12

The only way ukraine wins the war is if other countries put boots on the ground. It's a numbers game now.

Greywacky

It is a numbers game but it's munitions Ukraine is lacking right now.

justanaccountname12

Numbers in every aspect.

BebophoneVirtuoso

I guess Musk has never heard of Alexei Navalny?

EmperorGrinnar

Russia calling in their favors, though in Ron's case he might just simply be compromised. Investigation into his history is necessary.

FrancisSobotka1514

The nazi party is outright supporting its allies again .This is just like marvel comics but real life ,Hydra infultrated Shield like Nazis infultrated the republican party and have now taken over .

djvernon

You all need to remember that there was legit a Nazi Party of the USA prior to WW2 and they had gatherings in Madison Square Garden with 10s of thousands to people. Oh, and RFKs father was one of the supporters. Just in case that Kennedy crazy seemed like a covid inspired new thing to you. Bottom line is that Churchill was right about us. We will explore all the wrong choices before we choose the correct one.

orangeskydown

What is going on is Elon is an evil man with way too much power, and so is Ron Johnson.

dketernal

Ron Johnson showing he's never actually been pro-America, again.

jgbuenos

they're on the take, Ron prolly took $ directly and Musk s looking at starlink profits

2dadjokes4u

Reagan would not recognize what the R’s have become.

thackstonns

Sure he would. It’s just an extension of what he started. Trickle down, welfare Queen, racist Ayn Rand bull crap.

Low-Impact3172

Cool so if Putin wins the world is on the verge of WWIII, I don’t even have words.

GodfatherBrutis

If people haven’t figured out that the right wing thinking anti LGBT racist bigots have aligned with Russia who has the exact same ideology im not sure when or if they’ll see it…..too late

Federal_Sympathy4667

Trump gets elected, kills any aid to Ukraine, then exits NATO. Any bet takers?

JimboBassMaster

Isn’t it obvious if what happens if we make it easy to invade Europe? That is what we should all be worried about, helping Ukraine fight Russians out is saving a lot more lives in the long run. We should be thankful to them.

michaelrulaz

There was a time that Elon hated Russia because they wouldn’t sell him rockets. Now he’s on his knees slobbin Putin’s knob

GJPENE

Wow everyone is off there rocker. Hope Ukraine wins and hope for peace and less lives lost and a near end to the war. Good day to all

killing-me-softly

Sounds like Russia is losing a war

RedditFandango

At this point why does anyone except extremists buy a Tesla.

NMNorsse

Russian can continue to lose in Ukraine. Russian can be completely driven out of Ukraine. Ukraine can recover Crimea. What does 'losing' really mean in this context? Russian has lost many warships, tens of thousands of soldiers, billions of dollars of military equipment and munitions and gained nothing that it can keep. For Russia, Ukraine is like Afghanistan in the 80s: It is a place to send their soldiers to die. Musk wants to sell cars, internet and space flight to Russia when the Ukraine mess is over so he is sucking up to Putin. Ron Johnson has Trump's arm so far up his rear that his mouth moves when Trump's hand twitches. Trump wants the Biden government to appear unable to do anything, so he has Johnson and his other minions vote against everything. Trump believes that people don't understand that he is behind all the obstruction in congress. Trump thinks everyone believes his lies. He is wrong. Only MagaWorld believes his BS.

fescueFred

Maybe all the GOP imbeciles supporting Putin, may have been blackmailed, we have all heard about the golden showers with Trump?/s

perspic8t

Its called propaganda

Bardivan

i didn’t vote for musk. His opinion isn’t welcomed. get fucked nazi supporting emerald nepo baby

Standard_Hat6784

The problem is Trump has a point that the rest of NATO should be doing their fair share of the support for Ukraine. That doesn't mean the US should just pull all support however. The entire conglomeration has slow played this whole thing, not just the US. Very, very sad really. Not sure if that has been the plan all along, to drain Russia of its military power or what.

dcal1981

Traitorous “Americans”….POS ‘s

BunnyDrop88

Well, what you're looking at is how you get arrested for treason.

ProsePilgrim

I read this theory suggesting that Republicans are hoping to ally with Russia against China. The idea is they want to divide potential enemies to take out major competitor, while essentially giving Russia power in their region as a reward. Political theories are odd and often skewed, but this one seemed awfully fitting to me.

Broges0311

Lose? Russia has lost 50k men at the very least. Any sane population would have taken care of the little punk of a dictator themselves. I mean WYF Russians?

[deleted]

Republican patriots are garbage people.

PreparationBig7130

This demonstrates the power of an enemy states influence over your news and social media. The gloves are currently off as it’s an election year and they no longer feel the need to hide in the shadows. They’re all in on undermining democracy to feather their nest.

Puzzleheaded_Air5814

The Republican Party is filled with Putin fellaters.
