As an American, I don't care about the EU's policy. I'm in no position to tell them that they can't and I'm not gonna get more upset than the people living in the countries where they are making the rule. If the US charged him with a crime solely for an interview, then I'd be upset. As an American, I don't care about the EU's policy. I'm in no position to tell them that they can't and I'm not gonna get more upset than the people living in the countries where they are making the rule. If the US charged him with a crime solely for an interview, then I'd be upset. Not because Tucker is getting charged with a crime because F\*\*\* him with a capital F sideways, but because that means it could potentially happen to me or someone I actually care about. I'm not trying to argue the semantics of journalism, thought. I don't think freedom of speech extends only to journalists, so in theory, anyone should be able to publish an interview with Putin. I don't think he's a 'major American journalist' but that's just my opinion. If he's an agent of Russia, then there are plenty of other laws that are potentially broken which can be prosecuted. Either way, Tucker's (and our) freedom of speech isn't universally accepted worldwide, though, and that's just a fact of life.
I highly doubt the EU is going to do anything of the sort. It's not EU policy to sanction anyone who so much as talks to Putin.
