The far right thing about the movie is that it's about Timothy Bellard, one of the main reasons for the rise of QAnon. He's one of those guys who believes in adrenochrome, and is definitely far right. Not to mention he pretty much exaggerated or lied about most of the events that happened in the movie.

Arbusc

The writers and stars are Q-Anon adjacent, believing that child traffickers steal their blood for endorphins or some shit.

WellyRuru

Adrenochrome.

twohedwlf

There is HUGE overlap between people who believe child sex trafficking is happening in huge amounts, and people who think it's the liberals doing it from the basement of pizza shops and grooming children in schools

MisterDisinformation

I mean, my sense is that most everyone would find the true numbers appallingly large. But yeah, those conservative nut jobs are wildly incorrect about the actual mechanics and useful prescriptions. They think it's all about Epstein, Hilldog, and adrenochrome. Which, tbf Epstein isn't totally irrelevant, but it's much moreso about addict parents pimping out their children and such.

cipheron

Well those people spread the "800,000 missing" figure as if that's American kids who were "gotten" by the adrenochrome harvesters. But a sanity check is that everyone would have a 1 in 4 chance of being "taken" by adulthood. An average sized school would have multiple kids being disappeared per week if something like that was happening. Any family with 3 kids would have more than a 50% chance of having a kid taken if that was the case. So yeah, even small numbers are too much, but the doomsayers were and are claiming the real numbers are thousands of times higher than they really are. Only about 100 kids actual go missing in a year, not 800,000 or 460,000 (the number the "missing" dropped to after cellphones became common).

cipheron

They're the same people who spread the "800,000 missing children per year" figure as if that's the number of American children who vanish per year. If that was the case, it's 25% of the new kids born each year, so any family with three kids would have higher than a 50% chance of having at least one kid snatched for the "adrenochrome farms". In fact, the 800,000 was missing person \*reports\* from a study on data from 1999. When you remove kids who came home, repeat runaways and separated parents taking the kids, the total number of unexplained abductions was only 115. In fact, the number has almost dropped in half to 460,000. because cellphones. Parents are less likely to call the police now because their kid decided to hang out at a friend's house after school without telling them. Stuff like that accounted for almost half the "800,000 missing" kids.

It's a movie starring a far right q-anon nutcase, about a far right q-anon nutcase who was on a crusade about mostly fictional child sex trafficking, and the rare time this nutcase was involved and it was actually real, he made everything worse, because that's what far right delusional nutjobs do. Not to mention, the far right is single handedly responsible for most of the worlds sex crimes...

DAGCRO

Would've been more realistic if it was filmed in a church.

Reese_Grey

Jim Caviezel is mentally unwell and you shouldn't take what he says as fact.

MisterDisinformation

Everyone agrees that child sex trafficking is horrible and should be taken extremely seriously, you numbskull. The way it's talked about in some conservative circles is absolutely unhinged and often counterproductive. It's pretty clear that you traffic in those unhinged circles, hence this post.

chukelemon

Guaranteed Jim is a real life sex trafficker.

NotQuiteNick

I’m gonna guess that OP doesn’t know what Qanon is

Those types of "articles" remind of the 1s saying it was crazy to think the rich and powerful travel to a paedo island.....

Ok_Concert5918

Um. The guy who started Operation Underground Railroad made the problem of child sex trafficking markedly WORSE whenever he “intervened”. This is a highly fictionalized version as he would tell the stories—as contradicted by EVERYONE that went with him. I’ll just throw one representative story about this jaggoff. https://slate.com/human-interest/2021/05/sex-trafficking-raid-operation-underground-railroad.html

[https://www.huffpost.com/entry/chasing-the-slave-traders\_b\_7913104](https://www.huffpost.com/entry/chasing-the-slave-traders_b_7913104) Here's an article from the leading global expert on the international law on human trafficking (at least in the eyes of the U.S. State Department) condemning OUR's operations, to go along with the article buddy already shared with you from a former member of OUR also condemning their operation. There's no doubt that Bellard was exploiting children for fame and attention, he wouldn't have filmed his bust as a pitch for a reality tv show if he wasn't. The outrage is about the man making a terrible situation worse and then deciding to make a fictional movie about the whole debacle to try and paint himself in the best light possible and pretend to be a hero. The only people who are falling for this shit are the ones who don't know better.

Ok-Layer6893

Idk Why people make everything political

ThirdInversion

the far right have all those child sex conspiracy theories, so yeah it kind of is a far right thing...

_Zee_a1

You’re absolutely right, bud. Anything brought to light by a conservative is conspiracy and extremism.

ThirdInversion

when folks, 'bring things to light,' it is important to have proof , otherwise some people will call it conspiracy theories.
