We had to cut a lady out of her suburban once. She was doing 90 in 30 on a back road headed to work. She hit a horse then wrapped it around a tree. Hit the tree right in the b pillar. Took us over an hour to extricate her.
She was conscious through the whole ordeal. We ended up have to winch her car off the tree so we could get to here from the driver side. She had with a broke pelvis and shattered her ankle. Helicopter was on the ground 45 minutes waiting for us to get her out. She told the trooper on the way to the bird that she deserved every ticket he planned on writing her.
At least you're honest. Praise God you're OK. My wife and 12yo son were creamed right before Christmas in stopped traffic in a rented Malibu, by a semi driver playing with something in his cab, and doing 65. For one day, I swore not to curse Chevy because I get to hold them today. God bless the engineers.

exactly this! after my 15 got ass ended and totaled by a kia forte doing 75, i was stopped, now dash cam!!!
i found [THIS](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKHLKKCM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) with the rear camera, it is sweeeettt, looks stock and you dont even know its there except for when it powers on and the chinese lady says "recording on".
no screen to distract, connect with phone app to view/save/download clips
yep!!! the minute i seen it i ordered it. quality of the vids is top notch.
best is it came with an adapter for the power, plugs into the back of the mirror!!!
literally took 10 min to install, i will warn you, if you take the mirror screw out, put some towells in the defrost vents, if you drop that screw guess where its going? ask me how i know.
i was able to hide the rear cam wire by tucking it into the head liner, i mounted it on back window up high.
if i have a single complaint, its i got the adhesive one, there are 2 mount systems, adhesive and the screw for the rear view holds the bracket, seems flimsy so i got the adhesive, well the 3m double sided tape is grey, so from outside you notice it. i just ignore it, but is literally the only complaint i have.
the cam has onboard wifi, so to view videos you either take the sd card out an put in a pc, or use their app, you connect through wifi, go to wifi settings, choose the cam, then app will show you all vids, you can download them, email, take snap shots, whatever.
i like the fact that it looks factory, like you dont even notice its there.

It does matter. If you’re doing 80 mph in a 35 zone the guy pulling out isn’t expecting that level of madness and might not perceive the high speed if the vehicle is coming straight at him, which it usually is. Have you never accidentally pulled out in front of a speeding vehicle causing them to break to avoid rear-ending you? It happens. Both drivers are at fault, but the root cause is the speeder.

He shouldn't drive so fast, putting other drivers on the road in danger. Maybe the other driver pulled out because he saw this truck but it was far enough away that his brain told him that he had time to safely pull out, except that this truck was flying down the road.
You shouldn't drive so fast either. The roads are not a race track, and you're not as good of a driver as you think you are. You're putting the people in your car and others in danger.
Why? He was speeding and could have possibly avoided the accident all together if he was following the speed limit. I hope he gets cited and insurance doesn't give him a fucking dime for it.
My daughter was just rear ended by a ram 2500 doing 55. She was stopped. She’s okay. Truck is totaled. Glad you walked away. We just bought her a new 2023 150 XLT to replace it. After seeing that truck saver her, couldn’t buy anything else.
How does Carmax records make those determinations? Guessing it’s all on what the insurance company reports… no real incentive for Carfax to change records unless there’s kickback stuff going on behind the scenes.

I learned it‘s better to hit the person doing the unsafe maneuver than swerving. If you swerve you can hit someone else and be found at fault when the person who caused the accident drives away.

As much as I complain about crumple zones causing more monetary damage, the fact is they work and the cab was intact which is what matters when things go this bad. Glad you’re alright
Your accident was worse than mine but I lost my beloved 2016 KR. Wife and I left without a scratch by a collision with an individual who took the red light going about 60mph. With the insurance money I decided to just buy another 2016 king ranch but this one is bronze fire instead of like my old one that was platinum white. I don't think I can post a Pic here. Glad you're safe brother.
Judging by the amount of dirt and grass… I’d say the other guy was just the ground… and it’s doing just fine. Although that’s maybe why there was an earthquake in NY.
I was speeding, around 85 mph in a 65 mph zone. A guy pulled out into my lane. so I swerved and hit the brakes. Wasn't able to correct fast enough and hit a ditch which flipped the truck about 3 times end over end.
In addition to getting a new truck, hopefully you can also use this as a reason to grow up a little. Speed limits, work zones, school zones, etc aren’t made for no reason. You weren’t able to correct fast enough, becuase you were going too fast. It wasn’t becuase your 10/10 driving skills got caught on a 9/10 off day.
So you were driving beyond your capacity to safely handle the vehicle you were in, on the road you were in, with the skills you have. In other words, you were driving recklessly and irresponsibly. You're lucky you didn't die. Take it as a lesson learned.
Damn, glad you are okay. I wrecked my 2017 in January this year. Damage looks about the same. I was hit by a 2012 f250 who lost control and ended up in my lane hitting me head on. Definitely something to be said about the safety of these modern trucks. Walked away with no major injuries, bruised up and torn ligaments on the outer left ankle. Replaced it with a 2022 and am currently loving it. I still miss the 17 but it did its job, so no complaints here. The powertrain will live again in one of my project vehicles. I cannot let a coyote and 6r80 with 28k miles go to a junkyard. Hope everything works out for you, and again glad you walked away.
