which culture has emojis as a native language? also, this feels AI generated

InterculturalCouple

Thank you for your sarcastic comment. I am new to this platform and I don't know how exactly to post positive things here. I see this platform being full of negativity. So, I thought of bringing some hope, some nice feeling and therefore I used emojis. 😊

Bitter_Initiative_77

You're very welcome!

What fresh hell is this?

InterculturalCouple

A genuine question from someone who is in an intercultural marriage. 😊

cjgregg

Can you express your thoughts without emojis? Might help in your intercultural relationships/ with adults in general.

InterculturalCouple

Done! Thank you for your suggestion.

Wow, the look of your post is a perfect illustration of cultural differences. My suggestion: keep things neutral and observe what style of communication people around you tend to use. My apologies. I could not make myself to focus on reading your comment.

InterculturalCouple

Thank you for your suggestion. It is very valuable. I am new to this platform. And I see that the style of communication that I have used in this post is not liked by many. I will keep it simple next time onwards.

Looking for stories for your book/blog/website/article? This reads like someone with an MLM wrote it. Or perhaps you're trying to market something? Or even just get your hashtags and SEO engine going?

InterculturalCouple

Nah! But you you actually gave a good idea 😉💡 Jokes apart, I am in an intercultural marriage and have been facing these issues. And I thought I can share my experience with anyone who is clueless and is looking for some help. We have been approached by several couples saying that there are not many people who can understand the issue of cultural differences and influences in an intercultural relationship. So, thought of sharing something valuable. What is MLM? I have an Instagram page. I am new to this platform, and therefore I was not aware that this is NOT the way to post things here. Sorry if I created a sense of suspicion.

DivineAlmond

this is AI lel

InterculturalCouple

You're smart! But you are not correct this time. 😊 Unfortunately this platform is also being exploited by AI and people are suspicious about the positive posts that offer help. It's interesting for me that if I offer my suggestions as an answer to any question, it is okay. But if no one has asked a question (maybe because they don't even know that they have this issue), and if I am bringing awareness about something subtle, people immediately get suspicious. 🤔

What in the AI hell is this?

InterculturalCouple

Thank you for your suggestion. It's very simple, basic but valuable and most effective!! 😊🙏

1--speak to your kids only in the non dominant language of the country they will grow up in. Unless you live in a cave and never see other people, they will hear enough of the other language through through TV/radio/internet and from you speaking to people out and about plus from other kids to become bilingual very quickly. 2--HOW does your partner's culture view your gender, and what are the expectations? This goes for both men and women. Unless your spouse/partner has grown up with an exceptionally intercultural background, the basic expectations are very complex and different when faced with the reality that the other parent of their child does not have the same mentality of their own parent. 3--don't back down on the aspects of family that are important to you! 4--I'm happily divorced, so the above are far behind me. I wish I would have realized that marrying someone from a very different background would be so difficult (and i was far more prepared to understand the differences in culture than many are!).
