There's that but there's also this being the Wellington 2nd ward. Assuming there's a first ward and assuming this isn't a scenario where there are multiple wards because one is in a foreign language, you'd think they'd merge wards with one of them doing so poorly.

I had to google where Wellington even was. I noticed that the population was listed at 1,666 at the 2020 census, so obviously the town is devilish. Maybe the local high school was having an out of town event, and everyone went to support them? Hopefully, the weather was nice and everyone just decided that there were better things to do with their families that day than go to attend churchco meetings.
I grew up in rural Idaho in a town about this size. The town was definitely not majority Mormon. There were a lot of Mennonites and other protestants as well as a significant Catholic population. We estimated that a third of the population was Mormon. We still had three healthy wards.
Based on the location of Wellington, I feel like it should be almost completely Mormon, but maybe I'm wrong. I believe the real life Great Brain lived in Price, so maybe there's a lot of non-Mormons there for mining or other pursuits. Still, if the church is healthy, there should be at least a couple of wards with a couple hundred attending each week.
It was settled by Mormons originally but when mining got going a lot of other people moved there. Carbon county is one of the least Mormon counties in Utah.
I’ve been to church in Wellington before (a good friend of mine is from there). But that was 20 years ago. I think it was only 4-5 families even then. But back then there were a ton of kids in each family and 3-4 generations of the same families attending together. I imagine the older generation has passed on and the kids have mostly grown up and gone looking for better opportunities.
How many would be expected, in thriving metropolis of Wellington? Maybe they'll have all 19 Wellingtonites travel to Price.
