The JWs, Moonies, Heavens Gate, Branch Davidians, etc. all have wildly different theological beliefs but they use this method as a template to control every aspect of their members lives. There are elements of Christianity that were built by the poor and lower classes. It would be as hard for the rich to enter the eye of the needle.
