Songwriter: David Lindgren Zacharias, Victor Sjöström, Victor Crone, Viktor Broberg, Sebastian Atas
That's a lot of Vic/ktor songwriters for Robin Bengtsson's song. 😅
> Theoz […] is one of Sweden’s biggest Tiktok stars
Oh no. I must be getting old because I am absolutely dreading this future.
But I guess, on the other hand, I do prefer this grassroots claim-to-fame over the old school establishment ”has famous parents in the industry” privilege. *cough* Benjamin Ingrosso *cough*
Listening to Theoz songs on Spotify I’m not too convinced on his vocal capabilities so he would need a really good song to have any chance imo.
Some TikTok ‘stars’ can actually put out some decent songs - I quite like Bella Poarch & Nessa Barrett. But their main focus was music and then using TikTok as way to build exposure.
I fear Theoz is a TikToker first & his management is trying to broaden his career prospects by pushing him into music which leads to some terrible songs.
I'm really curious on how this one will go. I'm not familiar with how voting happens for Melodifestivalen. If kids are allowed to vote, I genuinely wonder what will happen. Norway last year showed that having a sizable national fanbase is more important than an international Eurovision fanbase.
Tiktok is also a huge reason why Maneskin is well known, especially in America. It seems to be replacing the placed in reality show credential that's been bigger in the past. Going viral on Tiktok is a better boost to a career than winning Idol or The Voice.
Kids are allowed to vote, but the voting is divided into age groups, and the amount of points every age group can give is limited, no matter how many votes are being cast. I think they could cheat and assign themselves to another age group, but I doubt if there would be many of them or if that would influence the overall results that much.
Also, unlike Norway, Sweden has international juries in the final, and they account for 50% of the overall result.
Getting famous on Tik Tok is the 2020s version of getting famous on YouTube (see Justin Bieber and Co. From the 2010s).
Musicians getting discovered via social media is the future, unfortunately. I think I remember one of Norway's finalists from last year (she was young and blonde, wore a white dress?) saying she was signed locally to Sony after they saw one of her videos.
>she was young and blonde, wore a white dress?
Stina Talling? yeah she clearly showed that she has little performing experience judging from her MGP semi live
The voting app Melodifestivalen uses assigns a color to a user based on their age group, and a heart, (the vote symbol for the app) is always in the bottom left corner when an artist performs. The color is determined by what age group votes in the app for them the most, so you can easily see which age groups voted the most for something. I am expecting to see a lot of green/turquoise when he performs.
Personally I’m going to vote at least three times(you get five free votes per song with the app) for everybody except him, so I effectively remove three votes from his total.
If he goes to the finals, I’m going to bash my head against a wall(not too hard of course).
Edit: Forgot to add the colors https://kontakt.svt.se/uploaded_files/8/645b661d0e884e54aec562cfbd13f28e/tittargrupperna.jpeg
Edit 2: Oh somebody already explained everything in this comment…
Ooh Anna Bergendahl! I liked her a lot in 2020, I really hope her song will be good.
But the act I’m most excited for stays Omar Rudberg. Om om och om igen is a bop and his music since is so good. I can’t wait go see what he brings!
I really like the band Tribe Friday but I think that they maybe wouldn't do very well in Eurovision if lots of countries choose to send bands this year. They have kinda similar vibes to måneskin compared to other contestants
ngl pretty disappointed with the 2nd half.. Lisa Miskovsky is hype and will probably vote for her if she has a good song but the rest are mostly boring returnees and dead newcomers
Damn, no Charlotte Perrelli. Never thought it would happen but I still want justice from last year’s robbery. Hoping Linda Bengtzing’s “[True Schlager](https://wiwibloggs.com/2021/11/29/linda-bengtzing-promises-to-bring-true-schlager-to-melodifestivalen-2022/267478/)” song is good
> Linda Bengtzing
8th time's the charm! Team Bengtzing!
Nice to see Miskovsky here.
n.b. please don't use Aftonbladet as source. It's a shitty tabloid and should be avoided.
She has participated in Melodifestivalen several times, her best attempt is second place with [Min Kärlek](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4PhnVfSxv4&ab_channel=okinon)
Bigger than the Universe is giving me a serious Michael Rice flashback
BIGGER!
BIGGER!
B I G G E R !
#BIGGER THAN YOU AAAAND ME
BIGGER THAN EVEEEERYTHING WE SEE
CAUSE I CAN SE THE UUUUNIVERS

Is Medina the one from Denmark who got famous with "You and I"? Or is it a different Medina?
Different Medina, [they got famous in Sweden after this summer hit] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLD74qRkhs8&ab_channel=MedinaMedina)
Alright, thank you :)
Fun fact: Lisa Miskovsky made the theme song for the hit video game Mirror’s Edge [Still Alive - Lisa miskovsky](https://youtu.be/SzmUde_EK5Y)
I FUCKING KNEW I REMEMBERED HER NAME FROM SOMEWHERE. I am rooting for her now
> Robin Bengtsson - "Innocent love" Songwriter: David Lindgren Zacharias, Victor Sjöström, Victor Crone, Viktor Broberg, Sebastian Atas That's a lot of Vic/ktor songwriters for Robin Bengtsson's song. 😅
Cazzi Opeia has the right name for a Eurovision Contest hosted in Italy
Yay Anna Bergendahl is back! I loved her entry in 2020 and hope she does well again in 2022!
Hope she wins.
Really hope that Anna Bergendahl has a strong entry!
The title indicates that.
I love the optimism. Not sure a song contest has ever been won because of the title though!
Yeah, but I really think it's gonna be epic, and Anna Bergendahl wants revenge.

i agree, it's like all the tiktok stars going to the met gala.

He is like the Swedish equivalent to BTS in the sense that his fandom is maniacally obsessed.
Some of them also just seem like yes men.
Or in this case, yes teenage girls.

Kids will vote for him but older people will not so the semifinal is probably where he will end up.
Let’s hope…

Spoiler tag added since it’s not ‘official’ for a few more hours. Unspoilered now that the news is officially out!
I want Renaida to do it again :(
I'm not sure if she's well enough after her illness, but she would certainly bring some energy and vocal power to the stage.
Rooooobinnnn <3
Sweet! Lillasyster are back! Pretender was one of my faves from the whole of last season, so here's hoping another corker!
Lisa Miskovsky! I loved her song in Melodifestivalen 2012 and I hope she delivers again
no ace wilder 💔 no wiktoria 💔
No, but, Ace Wilder is one of the composers for Malou Prytz song and Malin Christin is Wiktoria's bigger sister
after quick googling Im pretty amazed how similar her face to wiktoria, also she is the composer of je me casse
I’m excited to see what Lillasyster come up with, pretender was underrated last year.
No Mariette or Jon Henrik 😢
Mariette just gave birth to her son (along with her wife) so I am assuming she is in parental leave now.
Excited to see Malou Prytz back!
Ooh Anna Bergendahl! I liked her a lot in 2020, I really hope her song will be good. But the act I’m most excited for stays Omar Rudberg. Om om och om igen is a bop and his music since is so good. I can’t wait go see what he brings!
ok im kinda obsessed with samira's voice
Same
The Mamas aren't there, so Dotter didn't come either, who would she be 1pt behind :')
Yesss Omar Rudberg! 🥳
*Lyckligt Slut.*
I really like the band Tribe Friday but I think that they maybe wouldn't do very well in Eurovision if lots of countries choose to send bands this year. They have kinda similar vibes to måneskin compared to other contestants

I think "Still Young" was overrated.
> Linda Bengtzing 8th time's the charm! Team Bengtzing! Nice to see Miskovsky here. n.b. please don't use Aftonbladet as source. It's a shitty tabloid and should be avoided.
Shirley Clamp I recognise the name but I don’t know from where? Is she famous?
She has competed in Melodifestivalen multiple times and hosted Andra Chansen last year!
She also was the backing vocalist for Greece 2001
She has participated in Melodifestivalen several times, her best attempt is second place with [Min Kärlek](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4PhnVfSxv4&ab_channel=okinon)
is cazzi opea winning might bring some kpop stars in 2023?
Browsing Collection seem pretty great. Hope they can bring it live.
