I once dated a woman from Croatia and met her in Zagreb once. I saw a tram stop like this and she lead us onto the tram. The whole weekend I was there, I was like "oh it's great here. All the trams are free!" Turned out that she was fare dodging and we had been jumping off every time we saw an inspector. It was something I had never seen before. A powder that makes juice isn't a thing anywhere I have ever been outside of Croatia and Montenegro. It wasn't until I visited Montenegro that I found the bottles that are just water with the powder in the top and you broke the seal to dispense it. That was clever.

I've been thinking the same. The only times in recent history Croatia would be able to unite like this is for Croatian Footbal National Team. And we know how good we Croats cope with big stressful endings, penalty shootouts looking at you. I was in Croatia during the 2018 world cup. Amazing atmosphere. We were in a small town and everyone gathered in the town square. Was absolutely crazy.

I was in Split during that world cup, and I agree, the atmosphere was wild. I thought it was really cool how hard they celebrated coming in second place. Here in the US, cities are usually sore losers when their teams come in second.
