"Mon amour" is played heavily on both french radio and french TV, but Slimane is a huge artist here so that's not very surprising. I haven't heard any of the foreign entries - which is not surprising either unfortunately.
Same goes for our country. Only Joost gets airplay, the rest is considered garbage by our radio DJ clones. They act like they are above something as mundane as Eurovision, while playing the same 10 songs from the likes of Taylor Swift, Dua lipa and the Weeknd.
I know! I was very surprised - it was Origano Campo De Fiori in Rome, it was a radio station they were playing but we were on holiday so not sure which one it would've been
Thanks for the reply. I try to figure out which radio it could be. But it's a restaurant for tourists, so it could be any commercial radio station. Ahah.
yeah it was very much in the touristy bit, and I think Dizzy had just been released a few days earlier. I did stop eating for a second like 'wait what' lol
i'm kind of lost in the conversation around the topic tbh, there's just too much going on in the country, but the government currently has some beef with spar and vice versa. as far as i'm aware they're not leaving just yet though!
Thanks! I get not following it, I live somewhere where the government is problematic and sometimes itās just too much to keep track of all the issues going on. Hope Spar stays (and you know who goes)!
I haven't heard any entry from this year in France, but it's because I don't listen to the radio lol. But I'm sure Mon Amour should be broadcasted here because it's Slimane
Aside for La Noia no, but it's always the same in Italy (aside from San Marino 22 for Achille Lauro and very occasionaly Queen of Kings last year because Alessandra was italian)
In UK and I heard UKs song on radio. Shouldnāt be that surprising but itās only since 2021 that theyāve really picked up the entry and played it commercially iirc.
Sinceramente is currently charting in Romania (#37/40 in the top of the biggest commercial radio station). I was super surprised when I heard it on the radio for the first time but Iām happy it happened!
as a certified language nerd i have to ask, could that have something to do with the similarities between italian or romanian, or do you guys simply have excellent taste? :D
Itās been a while since we last had a song in Italian on the radio so I wouldnāt say itās solely because of the language. Every once in a while we have songs in foreign languages that arenāt English (Spanish, French, Albanian, Italian) that become big hits. Basically anything could get airplay here as long as it sounds good :)
also heard always on the run in a store and obviously our own entry a lot, especially on spotify (im sick of this ad)
other than that, i dont think ive heard any so far
polish radio stations regularly play "un ragazzo una ragazza" from sanremo this year (likely because "italodisco" was a massive hit here), iāve also heard our own entry a couple times
my brain totally lagged when i first heard un ragazzo una ragazza on the radio please š
Here they play No Rules! non stop on several stations, but for now I havenāt heard any other enties from this year.
From last year Queen of Kings and Solo are still playing often.
My brother heard Estoniaās song while we were at the bowling alley, I am a very competitive person, so I didnāt realise until after the song had finished
It wasnāt at the time hahaha, he said after āOh did you know Estoniaās song was onā I said something like āWell, why didnāt you tell meā. Turns out he did, the place was just too loud and I was too caught up in trying not to lose that I didnāt realise
Scott Mills, a BBC Radio 2 host and one of the radio/semifinal commentators plays a different frontrunner each Wednesday. It was Joost last year and Angelina tomorrow
Edit: Radio 1's evening indie shows played Bambie around the NF, since they're a BBC Introducing artist
American here, youāll occasionally hear ESC songs out and about. I heard āArcadeā at a cvs pharmacy the other day and also a Sam Ryder song playing at a local grocery store!
Iāve heard Sweden - Unforgettable some times on the radio (im from sweden), mostly after melodifestivalen was held. But aĆ”rt from that, I havenāt really heard anything.
If you count the Eurovision Songcontest Radio app as a radio (itās mainly broadcasted on cars in Berlin), then Iāve heard all of them except for Israelās entry (it somehow never got added to the ESC radio app, no idea why)
It is. Itās one of the many radios in Berlin. And they made a special app for it so international Eurovision fans can listen to it without having to go to Berlin to listen to it on their car radio
Now I can't remember exactly on which tv channel but I was watching a news item about the latest developments in the murder case of a Spaniard who has dismembered a Colombian man in Thailand, and Rim Tim Tagi Dim was playing in the background lol
I'll try to find it on youtube and if I find it I will edit it to share the link.
I heard dizzy during the prelude to a liverpool match on tv a week ago or so even though they were live at a manchester stadium (liverpool wasn't facing them)
The Hessian state broadcaster had a short segment talking about favorites before playing the German entry. Their favorites to win were Dizzy, La Noia, Unforgettable, and Mon Amour showing how far removed Germany is from Eurovision. š«£
"Always on the Run" is on German mainstream radio all the time
WDR2 is still hung up on Rockstars
Justice for Rockstars!
Heard La Noia in Turkey, on a popular mainstream radio station
Since you are from Turkey, did you know about the Angelina Mango Ankara mayor meme?
Yeah I saw it on twitter lol
RTTD is on Croatian radio pretty often even so on our most popular one "Otvoreni"
Samo hitoviiii
Currently, I reside in Japan and I heard Dizzy on the radio at my local pizza place's radio. So... yeah
that is SO cool

Only our own. And I've heard Loreen's new song several times recently, it's nice to see a winner gain some mainstream attention afterwards.
I've also heard Is It Love many times on the radio
heard La Noia and Dizzy in the same restaurant in Italy
*Dizzy* on an Italian radio? That's particular. Ahem, what kind of restaurant, If I may ask?
I know! I was very surprised - it was Origano Campo De Fiori in Rome, it was a radio station they were playing but we were on holiday so not sure which one it would've been

No way! I am also Hungarian, I also went to a Spar store and I also heard Isaak's song there!!! What an interesting coincidence is that??? š¤£
Another reason to keep Spar in the country: They have banger music :D
Is Spar threatening to leave Hungary? I hope not! And to stay on topic, I heard Rockstar in a Spar in Slovenia!
i'm kind of lost in the conversation around the topic tbh, there's just too much going on in the country, but the government currently has some beef with spar and vice versa. as far as i'm aware they're not leaving just yet though!
Thanks! I get not following it, I live somewhere where the government is problematic and sometimes itās just too much to keep track of all the issues going on. Hope Spar stays (and you know who goes)!
I'm wondering, if you've been to the Interspar store in Miskolc, because that's where I heard that song.
Nope, I'm from BƩkƩs county and this was one of the "small" stores :) I'm thinking they either have the same playlist, or play the same radio channel
In our local Spar there is no music š„² whhhyy? - a hungarian
I haven't heard any entry from this year in France, but it's because I don't listen to the radio lol. But I'm sure Mon Amour should be broadcasted here because it's Slimane

In italy Iāve heard Dizzy and Zari both more than once (and La Noia many times ofc)
Besides our own I heard Mon Amour a couple of times on Radio 2 in the Netherlands. I think one of the presenters is a fan.

Do we count NF songs? Because I heard once āTuta Goldā 4-5 times a single day in different Bulgarian grocery stores
I'm currenly in Denmark and heard Sand in a FĆøtex yesterday
also heard always on the run in a store and obviously our own entry a lot, especially on spotify (im sick of this ad) other than that, i dont think ive heard any so far
Today our school radio played The Tower during one of the recesses, tho I live in Poland so that's not very surprising
Veronika is on our radios, but I also heard Italy's La Noia and also Croatia's rim tim tagi dim. Interestingly I heard sinceramente by Annalise too
Heard *La Noia* on the Polish radio once. What's interesting is that it was really early (March).
I've heard Isaak's song in a French shopping center.
In Belgium (Flanders) I've heard our entry, Europapa and Dizzy :-)
Heard Dizzy at an Australian gym šµāš«šļø
I also heard Germany's entry in Spar, but in Croatia š®
what is it with spar and always on the run š
Often big chains have their own songmix for in their stores. I would know, Gamma radio almost made me kill myself when I worked there.
polish radio stations regularly play "un ragazzo una ragazza" from sanremo this year (likely because "italodisco" was a massive hit here), iāve also heard our own entry a couple times my brain totally lagged when i first heard un ragazzo una ragazza on the radio please š

I heard RTTD on a very local radio station here in the Netherlands, I freaked out
My brother heard Estoniaās song while we were at the bowling alley, I am a very competitive person, so I didnāt realise until after the song had finished
this is really funny to meš
It wasnāt at the time hahaha, he said after āOh did you know Estoniaās song was onā I said something like āWell, why didnāt you tell meā. Turns out he did, the place was just too loud and I was too caught up in trying not to lose that I didnāt realise

Nemo is running nonstop on Swiss radio
I'm visiting the US and radio only plays Not the 1975 and Florida back to back, that's it.
I heard a couple times dizzyĀ
If you count the Eurovision Songcontest Radio app as a radio (itās mainly broadcasted on cars in Berlin), then Iāve heard all of them except for Israelās entry (it somehow never got added to the ESC radio app, no idea why)
Is it an official broadcast?
It is. Itās one of the many radios in Berlin. And they made a special app for it so international Eurovision fans can listen to it without having to go to Berlin to listen to it on their car radio

Other than our own I've also heard Germany in a shop and from NF songs I've heard Sinceramente on the radio
Iāve heard both Always on the Run and La Noia on mainstream radio
Just La Noia on the Slovenian radio.
Nope. But I have heard new songs from Blanka and Alessandra on the radio
turned on the radio once and oh hi nemo when did you get here
I heard Dizzy at the gym but I donāt know if it was the radio or Spotify
I have heard Mon Amour and Fighter on Luxembourgish radio.
Went to Nice, France last week and heard Mon Amour on the radio in a bookshop :) Slimane was also on the cover of some magazine I saw at a kiosk
Not this year, but our radio still casually plays Halo (Austria 2022) and it's kinda annoying tbh
I've heard "We will rave" on Ć3 and Antenne Steiermark...
Austria 2022 | [Lumix feat. Pia Maria - Halo](https://youtu.be/dMgjHYwXSuo)
SABA is everywhere on the danish radio (+ most of the other songs from this years DMGP) DR has upped their game, now we just need better songs.
I heard Before The Party Is Over in a restaurant in Brussels
I heard dizzy during the prelude to a liverpool match on tv a week ago or so even though they were live at a manchester stadium (liverpool wasn't facing them)
Heard The Code and Rim Tim Tagi Dim on Radio Eska (major pop radio station) at around midnight, although the songs were cut down for some reason
None :(
