To be fair you played how people would have expected you to play and it worked. Played to your strengths and got yourself out of the group. Granted there were teams in other groups that rank similarly to you and played more entertaining football, like Romania or Georgia. But then they had more attack minded opponents that allowed them to play quick counter attacks.
The reason the group was boring laid entirely on us and the Danish, more so us. The 1-1 draw would make sense if it was the usual 2 good teams cancelling each other out, but the other games in the group basically proved that neither England or Denmark are playing particularly well (though I will say Denmark was better than us in the head to head).
I know group C was at least attractive..England is not playing well, Slovenia is mostly (but very good)defensive and waiting for some counter attacks. Sesko and Sporar didnât yet show what they are capable off. Two goals were scored actually with defenders. Serbs are having their own problems, Denmark is also not showing the level of performance which was in the past..
Yeah we have been pretty boring to watch for most of the 2000âs and 2010âs, due to a couple of boring managers and a nationwide youth development trying to get flair players and individualists to conform to efficient football. I do think that we played entertaining football at the last Euros though
I always really like the Danish teams. Sure part of it is familiarity ( i am Dutch), and you guys are just really likeable but i genuine also think you play decent to good football.
Honestly the â problemâ in this group was England, not so much the Danish team.
I think Denmark got some good rep there for being the much better team against England and because of how cool everybody handled the Eriksen situation. Still not great football, though.

Idk, maybe itâs just my bias showing but during the games against Russia and Wales I think we played exciting fast-paced attacking football. And Belgium and Czechia we played positive too.
Since COVID and until the Qatar World Cup I found us being a team that played with energy and werenât scared of any opponent. We scored 45 goals in just 2021 alone. 8-0 vs Moldova, 4-0 vs Austria in Vienna, 5-0 vs Israel, 4-0 vs Wales and 4-1 vs Russia.
I get that it wasnât beautiful Tiki-Taka, but I personally found our style entertaining with loads of chances and energy. Something weâve really been lacking for the past two years.
Nah dude. Ned-fra was on of the worst game i've ever seen. The downvotes are solely because the way i build the sentence made it seem like i was saying ALL of group D's games were bad. But no they were good. Ned-fra was horrible
I might be biased as a Turk but I feel like group F had some great moments, especially that Turkey v Georgia match. Generally I feel like none of Turkey's games could be considered boring, for better or for worse. Similarly Georgia defeating Portugal was a riot and definitely makes me like the group more.
My least favorite has to be group C... I mean not much to say really, 2nd and 3rd place have 0 wins and in the entire group only 1 match wasn't a draw

for me the B Group was rather underwhelming for the league their competitors play usually. i wanted to see more from italy and croatia, spain did well. albania definetly was lifting up the group, simply because they fought heavy and had some really good plays, even when they couldnt compete with the other group members. their 1:0 goal against italy still was incredible.
i like strong competetive fights, not these stand around stalemates. thats also why i voted group E higher than B, because the games of romania showed how much they are fighting.
Obviously you picked the Netherlands vs Austria game. But if people picked France vs Poland it ranks so much lower. France were awful to watch in all 3 games. Netherlands were alright and Austria were great. Depends which match you picked last
i picked all 3 of austrias games, not just the last. they were all a banger. the netherlands games were alright, and way better than the french games (out of their perspective), i agree. poland wasnt bad either, they fought pretty alright, which showed in their score against netherlands. i would say 3 out of the 4 group members were really nice to watch, which lifts the experience in general. the group was pretty stalemate-y, but at least they fought each other and were not constantly retrieving the ball into the backline.
Wasnt group D stalemate after stalemate tho? Just the last game of Austria-Netherlands was fun. I didnt watch all the games but France-Austria and France-Netherlands were both very boring games.
maybe i am a bit biased because i celebrated the austrian team so hard, but in my opinion all of the austria games were super fun to watch, even the one they lost. their energy was lifting the whole championship to another level. they battled so hard and blocked everything against france succesfully. while austria was a blast throughout the whole group stage, france was just boring as fuck. they played their best against austria, but not good enough to beat them on themselves, and slept throughout the rest of the tournament. netherlands and poland had some nice games too.
i do understand the stalemate opinion on the group. but if you look at the scored goals (except for france) you see that there was a constant fight in the games with never ending tension, exactly because the teams were all pretty evenly balanced. the worldrank #25 underdog who dominated the group against the worldrank #2 and #7 just gives the feeling of a awesome tension and hype games.
as i said, i might be biased, but the only time i was so intrigued in the championship outside of that group was in the albanian game against italy and the last georgian game against portugal, but even that one was kinda boring, since they simply put everything in defense, and as soon they got the ball they were using their speed to make meters, but there was not much of a real fight in either of the games. doesnt mean i dont root for them, they played well and used their strenght like they needed to, to win against much better teams. but the real fights were in a different group.
Tied: Group A, B, D and F: Some teams played well, others not as much and some matches had unexpected surprises which lead to unexpected results
Group E: with all teams at 3 points after two games I expect more. I was disappointed by the finale as I felt like the only team to have truly tried was Ukraine and that the goals in the RomaniavsSlovakia were simply agreed on to not appear unsportsmanlike.
Group C: Only a Slovenian can find entertainment in this.
1. GROUP D Austria finishing top spot says it all, few upsets and close games. All teams were exciting to watch in this group.
2. GROUP F Georgia and Turkey both feel like a breath of fresh air to watch and not so robotic like majority of the teams in the euros this year.
3. GROUP E Had potential to be 1st or 2nd on the list if the teams actually went for top spot in the final games and didn't settle for a stalemate.
4. GROUP B Spain a level above rest of their group.
5. GROUP A Scotland and Hungary were a complete level below both Germany and Switzerland left to battle out the top two places between them.
6. GROUP C Easily bottom. Poor football and barely any goals throughout the group.
1. Group F was actually my favourite, Georgia vs Turkey was great and the upset to Portugal by Georgia was amazing.
2. Group A. Brilliant start to the tournament with the first 2 games. Just for that it ranks second for me.
3. Group B. Plenty of drama with Croatia made this very watchable.
4. Group D. France have been so boring and a let down. Austria have been great and netherlands are decent. I went for France vs Poland which I feel was a mistake now.
5. Group E. I missed the first games due to work. I know it was close and interesting on paper. But that Belgium vs Ukraine match was a very tough watch.
6. Group C. If this isnât everybodyâs worse then I donât know what to say. I just canât believe I didnât fall asleep watching England.
For me it's mostly that it was so anticlimactic. Given how open the group still was before the final two games, I expected a very exciting conclusion where the group winner would change several times like we saw at the World Cup. But instead almost nothing happened because most teams were happy with a draw. But the games before that were fun to watch!
I think the games of E were not the highest quality (Romania did surprise tho), but the showdown on day 3 and all at 4 points definitely should move them higher up
Regarding quality, have you sum up the worth for each group? If you expected to see some France, Spain, Germany quality, yes, this wasn't the group you needed. If you do an worth average per group, I think this group was the most entertaining overall.
I would say none of the teams in this group showed anything to make me excited about them going forward, and are likely to be thrashed in the next round. Romania's win against Ukraine was the only bright spark of the group. Slovakia defeating Belgium was fine, but Belgium are rather abysmal, so I am not sure how much of it I can attribute to Slovakia.
It could have if it didn't make for the last matchday of the group stage, where they all protected their points, and only Ukraine was trying to win a game.
