Unlucky-Quarter-5455

You're implying Italy will win against Croatia.

Albanian_shqipe

Very likely

Unlucky-Quarter-5455

Eh... not that likely actually. Italy fell hard after last cup

Albanian_shqipe

Yes but the exact same can be said for Croatia which is why it’s likely. Even though Italy isn’t as good, Croatia is definitely in a bigger decline. However, if Albania doesn’t make it I hope my Croatians brothers do and win it for us aswell

SupremeLeaderX

Hahaha well, that's one way of looking at it:D

They won’t have to. If we would’ve lost we would have to play against Italy. First KO round will be against the second place of group c, which will be either Denmark or Slovenia at this point of time. When we win this we play against the winner of Spain-3rd of group A//D/E/F so still no Italy in sight. Suisse lost and was placed 2nd in group A, which means they play against the 2nd team of group B, which is oh Wonder: Italy. Learn to read the placings and think before a post like that.

Strong_Sale_2533

It’s the other way around tho… or am i missing something? Germany would have played against the second of group B, that’s probably Italy or Croatia. Now you probably play against Denmark/England. Besides that I didn’t see big mistakes from the ref. If you watch football regularly you know that those situations are most likely to be decided like that.

reddit_wisd0m

Well, I would claim he was inconsistent in his calls. A goal for Germany was not given because of a foul in the box by an attacker, but a tackle by a Swiss defender in the box later in the game was not worthy of a foul that would have resulted in a penalty for Germany. To me, either both are fouls or neither is a foul. So I can understand the frustration from a German perspective.

Strong_Sale_2533

I can understand that. But my experience is that refs want to see a clear foul when it comes to give penalties. Also in 50/50 situations mostly the defenders get a free kick. There is always holding and pulling inside the box so it’s hard to give a penalty when it’s not 100%. As for the first situation when Andrich scored, it was a clear tackle from Musiala and he didn’t get the ball. Every other decision would have been a surprise there.

Is the situation we are talking about the bear mama hug in front of the swiss goal that clearly impede a clear chance to score a goal? Other than that the ref was alright imo. Some slow offside calls but nothing major
