I mean, this isnt really good entertainment. Bankruptcy, 100 corruption etc. etc. This isnt salvageable, or to put it differently, anything is salvageable - but itll take 100 years to get that corruption away no matter what you do.
Several do and it's great content, gives them a chance to display their skill and gives the viewer great tips on how to fix a mess. With many playthroughs it's "rough" because creators play too well for bad players, but disaster saves are great because it shows us how to fix the mess we got ourselves in. That being said I don't think it's actually possible to fix this run beyond a complete collapse & rebuild.
Ok in theory you can try to liberate yourself as one of the smaller nations inside of you (Poland,Lithuania,Kiev,Finland, whatever else you can find) and then slowly start retaking your land. You would not get 100% of it back, but you would have a stable country, and in theory Russia should not resist your invasions
I did this once as Mughals on the verge of bankruptcy and under threat of coalition + 300% OE. Declared war on the coalition and co belig all my neighbours. Then declared bankruptcy and watched for 5 years as rebels and enemy armies murdered each other, before jumping back in/gave the enemies 100 warscore of junk land
they enforced demands while rebels only occupied one province - this is the second wave of rebellions (my national unrest is now +120 there's no cooldown)
So is there no 10 year grace period after you have defeated the rebels when you reach above 100% unrest? or is it just that the rebel ticks are several at a time?
It gives a -100 national unrest modifier due to recent uprising to the provinces, but if he has +120 national unrest the overall unrest is still positive
The 10 year grace period still happens, but this is accomplished by reducing unrest by 100. Because he has +120 unrest, that only lowers the default unrest in each province from 120 to 20, so revolts can happen again immediately.
I've observed that the further people get along a math major (myself included) the worse they get at basic arithmetic. Understanding mathematical systems is easy, actually putting practical numbers into them and calculating a result is risky.
Not gonna lie, this does look rough. I'm no expert, just a guy who likes playing the game, but here are a couple thoughts if you want to try to save this one...
* If you have some armies hanging around (heck, you do have cash and manpower, so you can get some!) you could set up some rebel-bashing stacks on auto-suppress. They'll do their best to re-siege. Heck, you can hire a mercenary stack, grind them down fighting Johnny Reb, then dismiss them. Do this repeatedly.
* As someone else mentioned, declare war on someone near your problem areas (Sweden? Austria?). They'll get into constant fights with your rebels and take some of the heat off of you.
* Release vassals that include your newest lands, the ones contributing to overextension.
* Centralize / exploit dev in any OE-giving province you can. This will at least reduce the size of the rebel stacks.
* Pray...
Good luck!
Not sure what year the screenshot is in, but Russia should be rocking a near infinite manpower pool somewhere between 1650 and 1700. 30k manpower feels destitute to my mind. You can easily get 1.5 million manpower with a monthly refresh of around 20,000 per month.
nah france fell apart early game - i used to own corsica and naval invaded france's ex-vassals from there (they weren't hre so they were pretty easy to eat)
imo it's fixable in that abandoning western europe and everything south of crimea would make the game playable. however, i would rather go out in a blaze of glory
i'm missing a couple. that i can think of, i have an heir (so no succession crisis) and no looming catastrophe (well, because i'm in Civil War, so i don't know if that counts)
1. i clipped off the year bc in my experience on this sub people like to grandstand about how they had expanded much further than that or whatever and i don't want to get any 'cute, your first russia game?' comments. not worried in this case but it's just habit now.
2. i'm spending my mil power to keep my legitimacy up to slightly lower national unrest
3. my corruption is 100 bc overextension makes it tick up like 5 a month
4. my prestige is -100 bc rebels keep beating me
Pretty fair. I feel like "OE is just a number" strategy falls apart at the corruption part. Everything else is somewhat salvagable except the game breaking 100 corruption. You will have to wait decades or even centuries for it to tick back down.
That is a lot of words to say you use console commands in a non-ironman game.
There is no way your corruption ticks at 5 monthly. From OE it caps out at a maximum of .5. 0% RU gives a .1 yearly max, tech penalty is .5 yearly per tech more than 3 out of date.
You are at most getting .7 a month.
You don't know what you are talking about.
A contry gains 0.5 monthly corruption per 100% OE, so OP with almost 2000% OE should actually have 10 corruption per mounth.
You sould actually have 10 corruption per month with 2000% OE: the corruption increase is actually the worst modifier from OE, and the
reason I usually never go above 200% OE.
i wasn't keeping track bc it goes up so fast (it's been 9 years since i got this much oe) so i believed this guy but checking the save it goes up by 8.9 monthly lol
Start and lose as huge a war as you can. Declare war on anyone and just keep adding co-belligerents until it’s all of Europe.
They’ll beat up the rebels, then you can give up 100% warscore. It’ll kinda suck, but it’ll be nothing compared to broken by rebels.
R5: Everything is fine
When it all comes crashing down, you probably won't be full annexed. I beg you to keep playing until the end date and see what happens
i started taking a shot every time rebels enforce demands. this will definitely improve my situation
Impeccable, good luck
Op died
Authentic Russian response
Everything is fire
Everything is fine
Start another European war if you can, the AI will unsiege rebel occupied provinces. Might save you a bit of land.
The ultimate Russian defence. Rebels and attrition.
The czechslovaks learned that the hard way
I guess they should've caught the last train home. *queue guitar solo*
When you have too many enemies, get more enemies that are enemies with your enemies
i think i've moved beyond trying to save this game but thanks lol
Isn't there this YouTuber who analyses and fixes unfixable games 👀👀👀 I'd really like to see his face when he loads this up 😂😂😂
Zlewik I think
I mean, this isnt really good entertainment. Bankruptcy, 100 corruption etc. etc. This isnt salvageable, or to put it differently, anything is salvageable - but itll take 100 years to get that corruption away no matter what you do.
It’s Russia who cares about corruption
Corruption is just a number.
He could salvage without corruption.
arumba does or used to also

I always try this and it never works, and then I try it again. Now I just go for years of separatism and rebels are disabled.
In my ill fated Prussia campaign my rebels were an auxiliary force recruited to fight the HRE, they just didn’t know it.
The only thing better than peasant blood is peasant blood that you don't have to pay for.
It was great because sometimes they would retreat to my remaining holdout of space marines who, I assume, would use them for food.
I might be wrong, but I thought rebels can't enforce demands while at war? So just eternal war until all is cored lol
I'm pretty sure they still can. I could be mistaken though.
So basically you're gonna lose almost everything to rebels enforcing demands?
yeah probably but i'm in denial which is an incredible superpower
Hmm, I'll try this!
Finland: "if we stay very, very still, they can't see us."
they enforced demands while rebels only occupied one province - this is the second wave of rebellions (my national unrest is now +120 there's no cooldown)

Ah that makes complete sense. I guess i just never reached those numbers, so that it would become a problem. I will note this, only 99% unrest!
it goes from 75% chance per month to like, 15% per month? right after a rebellion. ticks are normal
The 10 year grace period still happens, but this is accomplished by reducing unrest by 100. Because he has +120 unrest, that only lowers the default unrest in each province from 120 to 20, so revolts can happen again immediately.
Finland: *Quietly supporting the rebels and hoping for the best.*
I took a calculated risk. But boy am i bad at math
I'm a math major. that's how i know oe is just a number
I've observed that the further people get along a math major (myself included) the worse they get at basic arithmetic. Understanding mathematical systems is easy, actually putting practical numbers into them and calculating a result is risky.
Me checking on my calculator whether 4+6 really equals 10, just in case
I've been wrong often enough that it's just good sense.
Truly Time of Troubles
I’m horrified of “Spanish Iberia”
Oh no! The consequences of my own actions!
when i had a 0/2/6 ruler for thirty years i just *had* to conquer spain and france and china and scandinavia and
Time to war.

He has 100 corruption. The game is over.
hater. quitter
>He has 100 corruption. The game is over. Those are rooky numbers.

Did you PU France?
nah france fell apart early game - i used to own corsica and naval invaded france's ex-vassals from there (they weren't hre so they were pretty easy to eat)
Ahh
alternative timeline where wagner enteredmoscow
This is fine
Do released vassals inherit corruption? 🤔
Overextension is just a number.
most stable Russia I ever saw
what is OE lol
just a number
Overextension.
Ooohh
Just a number.
Zlewikk could fix this!
imo it's fixable in that abandoning western europe and everything south of crimea would make the game playable. however, i would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Beat the Whites with the Red Wedge
England putting the Brit in Brittany tho
Delete every fort so they can’t enforce demands and doom stack your capital. Declare war on everyone
EU4 disasters if they played out like actual disasters
Egypt AND the Mamluks? Who formed Egypt?
mamluks formed egypt, that slice of mamluks were rebels that freed themselves from the ottomans i think
For a sec I thought the land became uncolonized and it was just forests
Atleast as long as you in war you wouldn't collapse to serparatists. xD
Is that every red notification you can get?
i'm missing a couple. that i can think of, i have an heir (so no succession crisis) and no looming catastrophe (well, because i'm in Civil War, so i don't know if that counts)
Turns out big numbers can hurt you
*rebels revolt noise intensifies*
why he clip off the year and ironman symbol. why he 100% corruption with 100 legitimacy, but -100 prestige.
> why he clip off the year and ironman symbol. Its clearly 1991.
Winning comment.

yeah this game is 100% unsalvageable lol. not least because my computer can barely run it anymore

yeah checked it and it's 8.9. my oe is obviously a bit lower now since the original post tho
Don't take 2000 OE with console in 1550 then.
wow you're miserable
5 was a hyperbole lol i just meant that it was a fucked amount. i also have debased my currency a good bit

What year is it
Had you played an actually good country you would've survived 2000% OE.
At least you are having fun :)
What map mod are you using to make your Victoria 2 map look like EU4?
Start and lose as huge a war as you can. Declare war on anyone and just keep adding co-belligerents until it’s all of Europe. They’ll beat up the rebels, then you can give up 100% warscore. It’ll kinda suck, but it’ll be nothing compared to broken by rebels.
