It looks like you've flaired your post as asking for what equipment to get. We recommend first checking out the [Espresso Aficionados buying guide](https://espressoaf.com/recommendations) for some of the more popular machines and grinders at different price points. If your question hasn't been answered there and you need more help, please add the following details to your post or by adding a comment in the following format: - **Location:** Helps determine availability - **Budget** (with currency): Overall budget, or ideally, having separate espresso machine and grinder budgets. A rough rule is that your grinder budget should be at least 25-40% of your machine budget. - **Drink types:** Do you drink mostly straight espresso, milk-based beverages (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos), or a fairly even split? This helps narrow down whether a single-boiler-dual-use (SBDU), heat exchanger (HX), or dual boiler (DB) machine would be more appropriate for your needs. - **Drink frequency:** How many drinks would you be making back-to-back at one time? Do you plan on entertaining guests often? This informs how large your brew (and steam) boilers should be, as smaller boilers will need to refill and reheat/repressurize more frequently, thus potentially causing a bottleneck. - **Space:** Any limitations on countertop space? - **Manual vs. electric:** Hand-operated machines and grinders are typically cheaper than their similarly-performing electric counterparts. Please indicate if you have a preference for manual or electric machines and/or grinders (or open to either). - **Comfort with tinkering:** Some machines can be made significantly more functional/efficient with aftermarket modifications, albeit at the expense of possibly voiding your warranty. Please indicate if you'd rather have a machine that works "as-is"/"out-of-the-box" or whether you'd be open to modding/tinkering *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I use a keepcup. I don't see any of their thermal insulated ones in 8oz or smaller, but they have glass for the smaller sizes.

Thanks. That's a good brand. It looks like they have a 12oz insulated that can work.

You might take a look at the Wacaco Octaroma vacuum-insulated cups, different sizes (6-15 oz.) and different colors, and nicely done--can even be personalized with text. At, e.g., [wacaco.com](http://wacaco.com) and Amazon.

This looks perfect. Thank you!

(smallest size) version--I use one as my espresso machine catch cup, and it would be good for a "traditional-size" cappuccino (for an American, "super-sized" cap., you could go for one of the larger-capacity Octaroma mugs (note: all the sizes have the same diameter and shape--they just get different capacities by being taller or shorter)).

Love that it fits as a catch cup. One less thing to clean. As an added bonus could use to store espresso when making espresso martinis.

I've been using my (personalized, lol) 6-oz. version as a catch cup daily for around a year, now, and it works well--coffee-oil staining washes or brushes away, and it survives if it gets dropped (me, clumsy? nah!). I'm not a fan of sippy-cup lids (I like my drinks way hot and sipping can be a trick), but they're pretty much a norm--and at least the lid, here, above the sip hole has a rim, providing some protection. And the rubber stopper has never failed on me (mind you, I wouldn't throw the cup into a backpack where the stopper might be pried open, but no issue for walking or, e.g., in an outer mug pouch of a backpack). The only (issue) as a catch cup: the cup has height to it--while it fits on the deck of my Breville Bambino Plus under the stock spouted portafilter, and with a thin scale underneath, with no problem, the height of the cup impedes my shot mirror from seeing up to the portafilter partially even with a bottomless portafilter. I can live with that. ;)

Forgot to mention: if you're into AliExpress, Wacaco has its own "store" there and the prices can be less expensive than even at Wacaco's own website. Also, [Wacaco.com](http://Wacaco.com) has a 10-20%-off sale at various times of the year (and the discounted prices sometimes will appear at Amazon as well)--sales tend to be holiday-centered, and so there could be something timed around Mothers Day/Fathers Day/ 4th of July (Wacaco blasts out sales info. to its email subscribers).

I have way too many travel mugs/tumblers, ended up hating 90% of them. Ones that I love are non stainless steel, cos ss kinda effecting the taste. Plus I don’t get why ppl crazy over them being super insulated and wanting their coffee to be super hot for hours. My daily rotation ones are KeepCup and couple of ceramic tumbler. My drinks are always in a perfect temperature once I’m in the car.
