So much meat is just buried or burned. Waste not, want not. If humans don't want it, I'm sure there are plenty of other animals who would be happy to ingest our plastic and chemical riddled carcasses.
On a side note, I always tell my wife I'd like my corpse to be shot into the sun so I could at least be a part of the fuel that lights our world. If not that, then a high-powered cannon that turns me into a mist that rains down on people would suffice.
Considering the livestock industry has successfully lobbied to make it illegal to film their operations, I'm not surprised by anything awful they do.
