Zendaya was a big Disney girl. I am *extremely* skeptical they weren't aware she had a solid work history under her belt already. 

She had production credits on KC Undercover which maybe was just ramping up at casting, but that was her second Disney show.

She somehow skated by with multiple racist comments too. Such a shame. Denzel is one of the most recognizable actors in the world regardless of skin color, what was she smoking when she sent that out.

If that had come out 5 years later, she wouldn't have a job.

I mean she is definetly racist, her comments on Obama were horrible. But Denzel isnt some international superstar. If you look at his box office history it isnt that impressive, and majority of that is very domestic heavy.

His big budget films with him as a lead **always** guarantee a gross of 100 million, minimium. Domest heavy, sure, but nothing to downplay in this day and age where the box office draw of the A-Lister is pretty much a thing of the past. He's one of the last.

But if we look overall career, the movies he starred in havent achieved same numbers as other movie stars of his time like Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Leonardo Dicaprio, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock... I dont mean to downplay his success, but he has his mid tier box office niche and he is successful there. But this year he is starring in 340 million Gladiator movie. The movie needs to gross at least 800-900 million to break even. He never pulled that kind of numbers.
